Just because it's unlocked doesn't justify stealing, that's like accidentally leaving your house unlocked and people stealing from you

That explain it? That's why if the chest is outside, unlocked, I consider it fair game. You leave a chest in the middle of no where unlocked, good luck keeping your stuff in it. If it's in a house, that's a whole different story. If it's in a house, it's their property. End of story.
