You know, I think the thing that bothers me MOST is when I tell people I want Mod. Most every time I tell someone, they respond with
“well why? You’re a SD, you’ve already got all the commands.”
Now, that’s ridiculous. I know that I’m a SuperDonor, and I’ve got all the commands I could want, but that’s not why I want the rank, is it now.
This server is my home server. I’m on most every day, and I’ve been loyal for about a year and a few months now. Such loyalty should surely state that I’m willing to take the responsibility of Mod for MUCH MORE than just commands.
I’m not in it for me. I always tell people if you just want Mod for the commands, then leave now because you’ve got no chance. If your heart’s not in the right place, your mind surely isn’t, and if both of those aren’t set correctly then you’re just not quite fit for the rank.

So, the other day, I was fooling around on McTopia. People were voting for the server under different names. Someone decided to vote as "TobiForMod!" and all of a sudden, people were cheering and agreeing and telling me to write an application. Thanks to my good friends, known as emmylol1 and challenger410, I stand here in front of you today because of an idea.
And my application for the position of Mod begins.
Introductory.
So perhaps you know my name. Tobi if you’ve known me for a while, tobiii1004 if you’re new. I devote a large amount of my time to the server, constantly checking up on it, getting to know each member, trying to grow the community, and overall lend a hand. This server is practically like family to me, and I’m always ready to help.
That’s the thing I’m most proud of, I think. I’m not perfect, I know that. But I’m nearly always willing to help, no matter what I’m doing. Trading, selling, building, giving an opinion...these are all everyday tasks I’m 100% willing to complete, if you’d just ask me, despite what I’m doing at the moment. The way I see it, when other ranks turn people down, the community is mine to help.
In terms of forums, I spend time helping on the forums as well. There's not much to HELP with exactly, but I try to give advice on Ban Appeals and Trusted/Staff Applications.
Before the new members quiz was set up, I used to teleport to new members and give them a spawn tour. I've lent quite a few people my house and some supplies, to ensure that their welcome to McTopia was warm. I make sure that they know I'm always here if they need anything whatsoever. I've rented out my old house to a few members who stayed on McTopia...as of right now I can only remember SillyGoosey and BrookeTheSheep but I've made sure that they were welcomed and treated with utmost hospitality. I know what it's like joining a new server...it's scary and gets old real fast if no one's there to welcome you. I treat it as my job to make sure that DOESN'T happen on McTopia.
I've never been jailed, I've been clean since I joined. Every time I've been jailed was either someone trolling me or some sort of misunderstanding. I help enforce the rules and keep them intact, not play with them and try to find ways around them.
I fix griefs when I can, and settle arguments when I see them occuring.
With my SuperDonor commands I've learned to fairly kick, mute, or jail any player who breaks or bends the rules.
Should this app be accepted, I will be one of the only staff members in my time zone (EST). It's an opportunity to help when others can't.

When I read staff applications I skip over the list of friends, but I probably should include it anyway. To Wrap It Up...
If you don't remember, I'm not blaming you, it's not your fault. But, a little while back, I wrote my first Trusted Application. It was short, but I wrote another later on.
I mentioned that my goal was to be Mod. To officially join the McTopia staff and officially be there to help.
Well, you know, people change. Along with them, their dreams change, their hopes die, and their goals aren't ever the same.
Well, not mine apparently. Still trying for Mod a year later.
I'm not going to get the rank just by typing up some words and hitting "submit". It takes time and a solid reputation to join staff. Staff is much more than an application, some time spent on a server, or any of the things I listed. And I'm willing to wait as long as it takes to prove I'm up for the task, but y'all know that already.
