Intoduction
Oh, hello. My name is MattJTV, and widely known around the server as Matt. I am here with you today on this forum to express why I feel I could be a great admin. I think I could be admin because I help others and they know I am here for them. I also help people with redstone, no matter how good at redstone they are. I am also well-liked around most of the server.
Helping
Everytime I see a new player on the server, I give them a warm welcome and ask if I could do anything to help them. We can then start to develop a good bond around the server while they keep ranking up, or stay Member/Trusted. When I come on, they know I am there to help the people in need with what they are having problems with. I make helpful warps for people, and make sure I put full effort into everything I build. I am not that good of a builder, but with redstone and logic, I can turn something into a big square into a highly useful build for all players!
Sometimes to help, I use redstone. A lot of people struggle with big or small redstone project, and I will do redstone for them and even explain it so they can learn how to understand redstone more. I have spent a lot of time learning this stuff the hard way and through tutorials, and I make sure people understand it in a simple manner. Hours of reading has gone into how I help people with redstone engineering. I even help out other great electricians around the server to get things done quicket and I even give out suggestions. With redstone, you can make things extremely useful, or make something so people can have a good time!
How I joined
I joined this server during early 2011, when the server was still fairly new. I met a lot of great people, and made little to no enemies. I found this server on the minecraft server list during a group call with my buddies from school. We all played minecraft, and we wanted to play minecraft on a server. I tried making a server, but it took a long time for me to get port forwarding correct, and keep the server updated. So I decided to find a server where we can go on at anytime and have fun without worrying about the complicated things. Daredevil4, diwifi, and I made a huge base and we had a blast together.. until they slowly faded away from the server. I was completely alone.
I tried to make a base on my own, but it really didn't work out, it was too close to spawn so it got griefed all the time, and Admins don't have rollback. I only had the base rolled back a few times by fatboomer and Neko, because I never even knew who the owner was back then. I started making new bases, and I tried to focus on survival, but it did not work out. I wanted to express my creativity and skill I had, but I couldn't. I loved this server so much, I donated a whopping FIVE dollars! Not a lot... I know, but getting VIP was so exciting for me! I was a little kid buying his first lollipop! Many months later, I got a little pocket money from running a small server, to be able to slowly donate for VIP-Gold. I then started to keep donating until I got the ultra rank, SuperDonator.
I felt that SuperDonator was so cool! They can fly around in creative mode, everyone listened to them, and they had a lot of friends! I wanted to be just like them! Eventually, I raised enough money to finally buy the best rank on the best server! It felt like I was waiting years to get that rank, even though it was five minutes! When I got the BuyCraft message saying my payment has been completed, and I talked as [SuperDonator] MattJTV, it was the best moment of my life in McTopia!
Jailings..
When I was a survival-going guy, I got jailed for griefing. It was not done on purpose, it was an underground base, and I was just trying to mine. But I have done worse things. I have gone into a big fight with the admins, mods, and other SuperDonators, and I was being sort of ignorant. I thought I could do anything I want as a SuperDonator, because I was overwhelmed that I even had the rank. I could sometimes get into minor fights, but I have matured over time so I try to not let it get into a big problem and try to handle the situation.
Conclusion
I am really dedicated to this server, and it would just mean the world to me to get Admin on a serious server! I would help out even more, and have a great time on the server like I have before! There are not that many admins, and I know I have many competitors, but hopefully Inspiron can see how dedicated I really am. I may have had some rough times on the server, some moments made me think if this app would even me worth it, but I feel I could still be a great Admin!
