So, as I have made it glaringly obvious in my time here on the forums, I'm on temporary leave xD The time constraint is undefined, but I'm under the impression that I won't be getting anything back, possibly until I'm no longer under the care of my parents. Who knows.
Around Christmas 2012, I donated for SuperDonor ($100), and remained SuperDonor for the majority of 2013.
Circa Christmas 2013, I was nominated/promoted to Admin.
I was curious to know if I could give away my SuperDonor rank, or at least bits of it to different people. Assuming I'm coming back sometime, when I return, I should still be an Admin. Donation history bears no relevance to staff promotion and/or nomination. If I had been Trusted at the time of promotion, nothing would be different. So, to me, it seems logical that I could give away my SuperDonor rank and leave my Admin rank unaffected, seeing as though I won't be losing commands either way.
It also seems like it would be an opportunity for someone else to enjoy donator perks. There are a handful of community members that rarely or never donate, which is a shame. Donation can sometimes be the thing that refreshes interest in a server.
However, this might be viewed as a loss of money to the server, which obviously is undesirable. Alex might not permit that.
Anyhow! Leave your input, I've been curious about this for a while.

I don't really thinks it's fair. Being superdonor doesn't affect the likelihood of getting staff, but what it does do is prove that you were able to handle most of the admins commands and permissions. Being a superdonor played a huge role in where you are now. Well, not where you are being in trouble and all, but the position you hold. lol.

I think it really depends on the person, but generally you can't.
Like you already said, it's putting a leak in a sinking boat, if all the admins shared around donation ranks they'd be no one to donate to the server

It's unfortunate but true that SuperDonor played a role in where I currently stand. Because not everyone can afford to blow $100 on a game. It sucks that one of the main reasons why I proved to handle Admin commands well was solely funded by the fact that I could afford to donate. I was thinking about giving Obsidian to Cori, or maybe the full SuperDonor. It would be great for her.

It's just, the more and more I think about it, the lower and lower my chances get for getting minecraft back. Worst case scenario, I get everything taken away, skype, forums, and all, and never come back. Which seems pessimistic but it's actually an EXTREMELY probable thing. It's almost unfathomable how easily that could happen. I hate to be pessimistic but in such a scenario, I don't want my 135$ to go to waste xD
