Pets are considered property, so it is kind of like grief.

Well, you pay for a pet to keep, like you would pay for blocks to build. You expect to KEEP the blocks, not have them griefed. So it should work the same with pets. You expect to keep the pet, not have it killed.

But the rule is flawed, what if they brought the dogs into Pvp, and the other guy killed the 'pets'

True, true. I'm not much of a PvPer so I hadn't thought of that. I feel like if you bring your dog into combat though, you should feel responsible for anything that happens to it. And I know some kids are going to go, "NO I DIDNT MEAN TO BRING SPARKY" but they should still be responsible.

Imo, if you don't want it killed, keep it inside your house, not outside
