Meta told me Tekkit came in an installer, it installs itself. And he told me about a texture pack for tekkit (yay). But can someone tell me about how installing the thing works? I kinda wanna tell my dad about getting tekkit before installing it if I can. So, help?

It's really simple. All you have to do is open this link http://www.technicpack.net/download/
Just download and install it
When it loads up, click "Tekkit classic"
Log in with your MineCraft account
