An Unlikely Idea

Heres An idea that I think would be very handy, but may be impossible. The idea is that if someone is banned, their Protections are removed. This will make it easier for regular people, as they arent prevented from accessing areas that theoretically nobody owns anymore. It can also benefit Admins, as they aren't racing around removing protections, by the (Questionable) orders of anyone. Other benefits include, Being able to fixed griefed houses, Being able to rebuild on land and freeing up space for others to build on.

If thats true, this could be a great thing to happen. I have also realised the fact I haven't provided my full idea, which is

1: If someone is banned, and they don't file a ban appeal in 24 hours, their chests are unlocked (This can be altered so it is immediately unprotected, but the time period is there to give protection in case of ban appeals and the next few bits)
2: When the protection is off, the land is 'Terra Nullius' or 'No mans Land', This land can be taken by anyone, and protected. If the original owner gets unbanned, the land, if unclaimed, can be reclaimed. If the land is claimed however, there are no rules. The original owner can do anything to try to regain the land EXCEPT griefing.
3: Chests are in this too, the protection is removed at the same time as the blocks (If any) and the chests become publicly lootable. Again, if the owner is unbanned, and the chest is (miraculously) untouched, the chest can be reclaimed. If the chest is looted, there is little to be done.
4 (This one is a hope) : The same rules apply if an unbanned player has not joined the server in 1 year, this can free up land being hogged by one time players, or people who have 'Quit' the server. This rule can also force people to play on McTopia once in a while to protect their creations.

there would needd to be a very severe rule in place. destroying unprotected things is still griefing. unless you can present proof that the land is owned by someone who has been gone for approx a month and that they are banned, you may not buld there. meeting these constraints would need the help of higher ranks, at least sd, and such land inquiries could be treated as paid tasks like similar to setting warps. it would need to be set not on how long a person has been banned, but rather if someone pays for an inquiry, and it turns out the person has been banned for a least a month, or gone for the server for a year, then that land becomes forfiet and usable once again

omfg >.< I had to do the with a rolled back statue of foggyyoggy's xD it was gone, but the protection remained. I had to place and break blocks for 3 hours, and I'm still not done

this would still need to be approved by inspiron. tho it could be a good idea each inquiry would still take a long time. it would probly be usefull if the inquiries could be posted in ban appeals where someone who is banned is likely to look. even after an sd reviews it inspiron would have to approve and enact each removal
