To me it's terrible, but it's been going on since the beginning of time and I'd rather have a legal way to cope with the consequences of unprotected intimacy instead of seeing a mother drown her child on the news.

I'd rather have the baby dead than wandering the streets alone, hungry, and with a 19-year-old mother whose "boyfriend" ditched her as soon as he found out he was a father. I take pride in saying my parents are doctors. What is that kid going to be able to say in school when the teacher asks? Is that kid going to be proud that his mom is a waitress and his dad is unemployed and unmarried?
