What is the point?

i was building a cute little shack, right? i was about to add the finishing touches. and i thought i heard a noise outside my house, but i ignored it and put my stuff in my chest. i just grabbed my wood to decorate the roof. when i go down the stairs, i see deathworlds on top of my house, and he jumps down and kills me. (then he got jailed for some grief he did earlier LOL)
so i asked him why? why did he feel the need to kill me and attempt to steal my stuff? he said it was to keep balance, so that people didnt get items to valuable. but he obviously cares for the server, otherwise he wouldnt have paid for the rank. so why would he take advantage of his rank to kill lower members, and ruin their days. and steal their stuff so they dont make any progress whatsoever in the server, making it a bad time for everyone else? if you care for the server, why wont you help the server, help it do better? help the lower ranks get things acomplished? no eff that, im going to take advantage of my rank and make the server do WORSE, make the lower ranks not have any progress on the server...

Gemu imagine this,

Let’s say everyone on the server had 1 double chest full of diamond blocks (yes it is possible) People would use them to buy just about anything they need. It would be just like Creative but in survival.

People play Mctopia for some reasons.

1: PVP
2: Building
3: The community
4: Entertainment
5: Trolling (sadly yes)
6: Rising to power
7: The Thrill of surviving.

Now say they have totally risen to power and have EVERYTHING.

Half of those reasons disappear when they have risen to power.

Would you really want a community full of people that have just about given up on those reasons?

Ask yourself.

Why put a big deal in me killing you? It is a pvp server. Yes I used the Dyn map to track you down and kill you. I was bored and I decided to kill you. If you got a problem with that you should of just put a PvP sponge in your house.

lol, if you think it is so bad then why are you killling the people to steal all of their gear and money, giving you all of the diamonds to buy whatever you wanted. you are just seeking a reason to justify ruining the progress people have made in the world. the whole point of minecraft as a game was to acomplish as many things as possible. when they acomplish everything, they can go ahead and start over. because to be honest, what you described is how i play, and its really fun xD if people wanted to play legit, they would play singleplayer.

that is why i am complaining LOL. Peoples progress on the server is being ruined. making progress is WHY games are so fun. essentially what you are doing is ruining the fun in a great game...

but WHY death? why do you need to make sacrifices at the extent of others? we are back to square one. WHAT. IS. THE. POINT.
why make theese sacrifices and not help people out, and just be a good person in general.

If i were to help everyone i see, giving out free items and making houses for people i will eventually become broke.

And also they are not put back to square one. Unless of course they are stupid enough to carry all of there vaulables on them, They Still have their house and everything in it. I am not one to kill homeless people, thats just wrong.

im not saying help everyone else, im just saying to not give yourself a bad reputation to mctopia. and just not be a mean bully who burdens the server.

I have a right to kill people on the server, for it is a pvp server.

I have a right to grief, but face the consequences.

Everything i do i attempt to plan, i weigh the risk vs the reward.
