Does my opinion matter? xD

Anyhow, it seems as if most people love the idea of factions. Which is great. If majority rules, majority rules. But I do speak for those who don't like factions. Personally, that's the thing that turns me off the most about a server.

Factions.

It's like cliques, or something. The most daunting moment in one's Minecraft multiplayer life is logging onto a factions server, and being one of two options:

1. Ignored.
2. Bombarded with faction requests. And you wonder, is this an actual good faction? Are they just desperate for me because nobody likes them? You get the idea.

Don't know, just never liked it. If McTopia had been a faction server when I joined, I wouldn't have stayed longer than six minutes.

But, people seem to love it. And I'm no longer an official staff member of the community. So, do whatever majority votes.

Survival 2 seems like a good idea, but would it just become obsolete after a while? I'm seriously asking this. I don't know xD I haven't been on the server recently enough to know how the influx of players and usage of servers works. Hey, I mean, I didn't even know y'all had a plot server. Do you?xD

Either way, all the rest of the ideas were fantastic. Mini games and such were a fantastic idea in theory, but not in practice evidently.

I agree with all of these points, and I'd like to address Tobii and her concerns, because I know she isn't the only one, and what I see from Challs idea is not as bad.

The fact of the matter is, that you always have choice. I still reckon we try to push newer members onto the main server, where people are friendlier and will want to help you out. Then you can move along to the Factions server, where those friends will be in a faction, and you can join it with your new friends.

Plus, lets be honest, we are a smaller server, and most people joining know someone, whether it be a former or current player, they know someone on the server already, so they can simply join their faction

Both the Survival Survival server (Survival 2, if you must), and the factions server will not be operational until the 1.8 update, when most people can return to the server. I know many people feel Minecraft is stagnating badly, but the newer update should do enough to bring people back, and get them hooked again!

The timeframes are too tight to get the servers up and running before an update, due to the fact we need to plan how it'll work, write rules for the new server, warn players about the old ones, give it time for people to have a last go, and then shut it down. Then we need to upload clean maps, transfer player files, upload plugins and then we can even think of running it. Then it needs to be regularly maintained for bugs. All of this will take time, as I can bet Inspiron has been a little busy lately, and cannot physically check the forums, and do 6 hours of study a day for College.

I hope this has answered all of the questions presented by Tobii.

I agree with Jam on this, factions (if they end up being implemneted) are optinal so it not like evryone would be forced to go. I honsetly would move ovr to factions if we got them tho, so a+idea there

Ah, thank you Jack! I didn't know he meant a SEPARATE Factions server. Alright. That clears everything up, as well as my questions with the "Survival Survival Server". Okay. Thank you!

I say Factions are a brilliant idea, then! Go for it. It might liven up the server.

Survival 1 needs to be revamped before any other servers should go up. Inspiron should rent out a slot on minecraftservers.org, or hire a youtuber. We simply don't have the players to support multiple servers. Your ideas are great, so that's why we should wait until we have 50 or so players to have a productive multi server network.
