It was just, everyone was annoyed by you at the time. They wanted you gone. Try appealing now, we might change our mind.

Anyone know an ETA on version 1.8?

Well its hard to tell, I did some calculations of the current time spent on 1.8 compared to previous updates and it's as follows

1.5: 63 Days of Development
1.6: 78 Days of Development
1.7: 50 Days of Development

So it usually takes Mojang around 63 days on average to release an update, However 1.8 has been under development for 114 days ongoing which makes it hard to use previous updates to workout how long it might take for this update to be released. However most of the work that Mojang have been doing was UUID's and switching how block states are stored in the game, which was just recently completed. This should mean it will be out in the near future, and not to far away
