Also, one thing inspiron picks up on, all of a sudden you just spamming the forums, which can be a sign of desperate want for the rank.
When you make an app, don't do anything extra than you normally do, I have seen many people change after they make their app, once promoted they just drop back to their normal self.

What he is saying is that you won't want to make yourself look like the best of the world during your run for mod, andif somehow you get mod you go back to normal and everyone is diss appointed and they question who Inspiron makes staff and they quit the server and have to make friends somewhere else and they won't play minecraft again.
