This by the sounds of it, is a case of harsh punishment, versus a troller. I'll go through this crime by crime.
1st Offence - 'Equipping' god armour: We all know that this isn't the main problem here, but since super_man brought it up, I may as well say: Jake has not ONCE asked for spawned items to be given for free. If he did, I would be very surprised...
2nd Offence - Spamming and Caps: This is more believable. I already know Jake to be one of the most short-tempered people I have ever met. His constant spamming gets on everyone's nerves. But when asked to stop, he generally complies. I am also curious whether the 'spamming' in question is Jake telling super_man that he is not a staff member. If this was the spamming in question, it was right and justified, as super_man is known to be stubborn.
3rd Offence - super_man not providing adequate warning - Saying that you 'tried' to, or 'it did nothing' is not an excuse. Incompetence of commands is not Jake's fault, it is super_man's. I do agree though, that a kick would have been appropriate for the situation. (And for the record, it is /ekick, so you can provide a reason. Obsidians DO NOT have this command)
4th Offence - Swearing - This is a no-brainer. I wasn't even there and I can almost guarantee he did swear. In fact, the way he asked me to post here involved an S word, and F word and a verbal harassment regarding my ability to post here ("If you can even be ******").As said above, Jake is a short tempered individual. But, Digus (I'm assuming you mean dingus) is not among swear words we try to avoid, in fact, I even use dingus as a lighter way to say 'idiot'. The S word, is something we do frown upon, but after repeated, and deliberate uses, like what was apparently seen in this case.
5th Offence - Acting like twelvies on the forums - We get it, you both suffer from 'OMG, I'm 12 now, I can do what I want!' syndrome. The use of words such as 'get over it' and 'too bad' proves this to me.
Let's break this down into wrongs and rights.
super_man:
Wrongs - Lack of warning, enflaming a preventable argument (Really, you have /enchant, and /i, he doesn't, just make him what is fully able, and make him pay an extremely large amount for it), Apparent lying (Staff rank and in report) and immaturity on the forums
Rights + Use of powers (If you are an Obby, the use of jail is the only real tool), Correct Reporting Techniques (but not content, the grammar is terrible) and refusal to be pushed by big bully Jake. Seriously, this is all I can commend you on here.

Jake deserved a jail, especially if it was the only command usable, but the way super_man conducted himself on the report suggests he is not 100% truthful, and is just using the 'I said it happened, so it certainly did, and I'm going to punish you for it' defence for a frankly over the top reaction. The original 30 minutes was appropriate, but 3 hours is excessive.
Jam, Thank you! Stop fighting and you can both agree you did wrongs and rights. I did SUGGEST 3 hours on Skype for an example in jailing because he had never done it before and I made the mistake of thinking what Qu3sti0n (apparently) did was worse than it actually was so I suggested not knowing it wasn't as bad as I thought. Sorry if that had an impact on this but I didn't say he had to use 3h, I said whatever you want.
