Also, describe the game the best you can. Maybe it's a world made of blocks where you collect resources, and build things. Maybe it's a game to make friends? Maybe it's a game that rots people's brains?

Minecraft is a game that you can download from the internet, but it is so much more than that as well. It is a creative outlit, a way to meet new people and make friends. Minecraft is a building 'game', sure. Minecraft is a big large communtity with smaller ones, servers, inside.

Minecraft, is, well, mine and crafting, as the name suggests. You mine, craft, build, and make something no one has ever thought of before.

But for some, with the speical abilitys, like creative mode, people make things like Emmy's Cathedral, and Chall's town.

Minecraft inspires people, wether it is in building or otherwise. Take, this story for instance.


In the beginning of time, of creation, of life...
There was one creator. He spawned in the middle of a black darkness. Keep that black darkness in mind, it comes into play later on.

This creator developed particles of life and stillness, biotic and abiotic, which he called "chunks". The chunks shaped up every part of the world there was.

He created easily-destroyable blocks of brown. They were made from pixel-like squares of different brown shades. Depending on the location, which he called a "biome", a thin layer of green "grass", purplish-grey "mycelium", or pure white "snow" covered the top. Pale beige blocks that fell when placed in the air were called "sand", and grey "stone" and "gravel" were set underground.

Beautiful glimmering precious stones were buried under the dirt and stone. Some were a deep black shade, called "coal". Some were a burnished brown-yellow shade, called "iron". Some rarer ones were red, dark and light blue, green, and bright yellow. He called them "redstone", "lapis lazuli", "diamond", "emerald", and "gold".

I could go on and on about the history of how he created chunks, but I choose to tell you a more interesting tale. The tale that spun together the inhabitants of this world.

The creator created all sorts of beings, called "mobs". Some were friendly, like sheep, pigs, cows, chickens, pandas, and kittens. Some were hostile, like creepers, zombies, spiders, and skeletons.

The first being was a sheep. It was female.
This sheep was named Brooke, commonly called Boo. She created all her offspring, little sheep that looked like her. She did so by pulling some of her multicolored wool and casting into the world. When it hit the ground, a sheep of that color wool was born. The Block Era came shortly after the Creation Era. Brooke/Boo was transformed into a block (a group of chunks) of wool. From her new form, she spawned millions of wool blocks just like her, in different colors from every aspect of the rainbow. The Item Era thrived afterwards, and Brooke/Boo became a human, a new life form unknown at first to the world. She created all cookies, which are sweet pastry-like things that are delectable to the taste. She decided to become the daughter of all cookies.

While this was happening through the ages, the Creator saw that the hostile mobs were killing the innocent ones. So during the Item Era, he created another human. He named him Metazard. He told Metazard to be the protector of the world, and soon, the Creator spawned many more protectors to rule, with unique names like Challenger and Slurpie.

The Creator wanted a stable, innocent mob to reign throughout all ages. So he invented another female: a wolf. Her name was SilverWolf, Silver for short. This wolf was quite graceful in her movements and faster than the speed of light. But all of a sudden, a green creature with four legs, named a "creeper" began killing her in an ambush. The elegant creature had no idea of the attack and could not defend herself. Almost lifeless, she cried out to the Creator, who quickly gave her the power of changing forms. She could choose from being a wolf, human, or dragon. Silverwolf assumed the form of a dragon and defended herself easily. She then spawned a large creature with vast power, called the "EnderDragon". To help it defend itself in its empty realm, she gave it long posts of a black block (obsidian) and put glowing rainbow cubes on top. When the dragon connected to a cube, it would regain health. She gave it the power to spawn a hostile mob to defend itself. These were called "Endermen".

There was another innocent being formed. The Creator called it a "kitten" young and pure, the kitten could defend itself well. He spawned two female kittens to befriend each other, Neko and Kittens. They lived happily together, until a sorcerer named MtMoon came and tried to strike both of them down with a spell. Kittens valiantly jumped in front of Neko, blocking MtMoon's spell with her body. The dark magic transformed her into a dark being, a "vampire". She assumed a humanlike form, but she drank the energy of others to survive. A streak of red hair dangled over her right eye, and she was clothed in darkness. She resumed living in innocence, although she was now cursed.

The final being was not created by the Creator. The blackness that the Creator spawned in still lived, and it destroyed any light or dark thing that stepped into its endless realm. One unlucky human used pickaxes to dig deep down, and he begged the Creator so much to break the indestructable black block, "bedrock", so he could see what was underneath. The Creator finally gave, seeing that this could be a valuable lesson. He broke the bedrock and the miner fell to his demise.

The hole remained uncovered, and soon the light mingled with the darkness. Black and white, destroying each other, fighting until one faltered. An explosion of light and dark flew in either direction, blinding and deafening in power. Out of the explosion came a new life form. Black and white. Similar to a bear. It was called a "panda". It was almost purely snow white, the purity of the light shining through. But traces of the darkness remained on its eyes, ears, feet, hands, and tail. It remained in silence throughout the Block and Item Eras, until the middle of the Item Era when the Creator gave it the ability to turn human. It turned into a girl. Her name was to be Tobi. She created all pandas like her animal form, but they remained underground. Some lived near the sun, where purity and innocence turned them white. Some thrived in the void, where they remained good, but the darkness turned them black. Many stayed in the overworld where they were black and white.

The mobs of the world still remain to this day.

The darkness and light still exist.

This world is the world we live in.


And, there are the little things, the little jokes that the people of minecraft share together, like friday updates and things like that.

You die, you respawn, and you keep trying, trying to make the perfect place, the best house. You play games like spleef, and Mob Arena, and win prizes.

And you form friendships with friends miles away from you, in different countries, in different worlds.

Take this server for instance.

Metazard, Challenger410, different places, far apart, like twins none the less.

Minecraft forges bonds, important ones that make you feel at home.

McTopia forges bonds and creates friendships. I guess that was what I was really talking about.
