Chapter one: Tiger Lilies Lux POV
It didn't surprise me that people were staring at me. a short genderless person with baby pink hair was bound to stand out. most of the people looking at me were trying to figure out my gender. You see, i am what i like to term a "Drag Princess" instead of a drag queen. drag queens are fierce and look like women on bad girls club... i am devoted to looking innocent and bright instead. it didn't bother me much that people were staring at me, i just wish i had some friends with me to distract me from the eyes that were drawn to me.
i pulled out my cell-phone (with the kawaii candy pop cell-phone case of course!) and decided to call my friend Jennifer. i didn't wanna call Jess, talking to her got a bit to loud for an airport. After three rings Jenn picked up
"Hello?" said jenn
"Hi jenn! i'm waiting in the airport. my flight for new york gets here in 10 minutes!" i said exited. i had a feeling i would like new york, as long as i didn't get mugged or raped.
"Its a shame that you couldn't take me! new york is fun if you're in the right neighberhoods..." said jenn
"I know it is, but they only gave me one ticket! but there are other winners that i haven't seen yet." i said, looking for the other winners.
"What were their names again? i forgot..." jenn said embarrassed. i thought I had bad memory...
"Their names were Lyra, Tess, and Lacy i think. there was also supposed to be a girl named Emma from England, but we aren't sure if she will show up..." i said.
"Okay, i hope everything goes well lux! good luck with the flight." jenn said to me happily.
"Okay! by jenn!" i said to the phone and hung up. i started letting my mind wander off a bit. i really loved the outfit i picked out today, it matched with my hair perfectly! though, i'm not sure how i will get albion through the metal detector... i may have to use a transmutation spell to turn it into yarn or something before i get onto the plane...
Suddenly, i heard an explosion from far away, and my head snapped over. there were more explosions following, and they were coming from the door! i thought back to the past. I wondered how i got here in this exploding air-port! It was a low time in my life, a year ago. i was being bullied non-stop, i was going through depression, and i considered suicide daily. this was 7th grade. 7th grade sucked for the most part, and i lived in a bad neighborhood. there was fights, drugs, alcohol, crime, and ghetto people. i was always quiet for the most part. while everyone else was chit-chatting and gossiping and arguing, i was just there. witnessing everything. i only had one friend, her name was rebecca. rebecca was...crazy to say the least. she was the only person i could talk to normally. but she got mad VERY easily. and she had a tendency to go crazy and either try to molest or bite boys. (._. i know.) but she was still my friend. Over the duration of 7th grade, she changed. she turned from psychopath rapist into a Rebel raver, and she became MUCH more tame. but, she had to move to new york... which SUCKED obviously. after she moved, i got back into the depression, and i started dying my hair. Black to Purple, Purple to blue, Blue to teal, and eventually, Teal to light pink. the hair color represented me changing as a person. i'm surprised my hair didn't fall out... Then suddenly, there was a contest in schools all across America. high schools, middle schools, elementary schools, pretty much everywhere. the winners of a talent show would get to go to any city they wanted, and i immediately thought of seeing rebecca in new york! i somehow managed to win with my performance of "Run devil Run" where i danced and sung every part of the song, which was performed by 8 singers! though i got alot of spite, i didn't care. i was going to see rebecca in new york.
I Remembered where i was, and dodged out of the way of a bomb incoming, and ran out outside. i looked over, and i saw tiger lilies. how ironic. tiger lilies have always been my favorite flower, and have helped me get through the worst parts of my life. whenever i want into depression, i would go sleep in the flowerbeds around my house. i even wore a tigerlily in my hair when i won the talent show. now the thing that saved my life, would be there to watch me die.
i don't know what i was thinking, i ran twords my plane. i banged on the door and yelled for them to let me in. the stairs retracted and i walked up. the plane flyer gave me a panicked look. there were others on the plane, but i didn't have time to count or recognize them.
"We have to go. Now." i said to the plane driver in my young voice. i started to help the pilot get ready for lift-off as soon as possible. i strapped into the front seat next to the pilot and we zoomed out of the air-port. we were safe, for the time being. as long as no stray bombs hit our plane...
