Never finished this...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AVI'S POV
everything was a blur. I sneak up in to the roof and look at my wings. I jump off and begin to glide through the air. It felt great. I search for weaker opponents. I fly behind someone and push them over, I then jump on top of them and peck their head. I rake my small talons down his back and I fly up out of reach. I do the same attacks when I think of a new one. when no one is looking I fly to the ground and act dead. I open my eyes the slightest bit. Someone came near so I move my leg causing them to fall on another person. I peck both of them and rake my talons down their backs. I decide to stay low for a bit. I trip a lot of people when I come by Alice. She was furious, she told me to get away and she turned into a dragon. While I was watching someone snuck up behind me and knocked me over. he creates a large gash in my side.
"I dnt think three year olds should go into battle." He snickers.
Alice, yells stop in her double edge voice. She attacks Fear and causes all of the army to leave.
Is everyone all right? I wonder
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ALICE'S POV
After they left, I shrank into girl form.
Everyone sort of stared at me, shocked.
"Alice..." Someone called. I didn't answer, I was still burning anger from Fear's disrespect towards Fay.
Speaking of Fay, where was she?!
"Give me a second to calm down..." I pointed my finger at them...then my legs swayed and I blacked out. Jack rushed to help me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke next to the fire. My usual spot. Soon it would be too warm to sit by the fire. Jack was sitting next to my sleeping form, petting my ears.
He laughed. "My vicious little Platinara." He kissed my head. "That was quite a transformation. You alright?" He knew I was alright, though. He was a dragon himself, he knew that I would be fine.
I smiled sleepily. "Of course I'm fine."
I frowned. "But where's Fay?"
He smiled. "You really treat her like a sister." I nodded. "Any girl in this family is my sister. Any boy is my brother. I'll defend them all."
He sighed and rolled his eyes. "You Platinaras are so defensive sometimes..." he winked, a sure sign he was just joking around.
I closed my eyes again, at peace. Then I remembered Fay. Again.
"I do wonder where she is, though...I hope nothing happened to her. I haven't seen her since I turned into a dragon..."
"Yeah. She hates me, but I think she's nice. She probably thinks I hate her." He chuckled.
"She sure loves James a lot." I smiled at the memories of them together.
"Yeah. It reminds me of you and me." He said this corny comment because he knows that romantic and cheesy things annoy me. I slapped his leg. Or at least tried to. The slap came out pitiful and weak because I was tired.
"No cheesy comments."
He held up his hands in mock surrender. "Alright."
"Her and James are so cute."
Wait.
James!
"Is everyone alright? Specifically James, he seemed to be in pretty bad condition." Worry lines creased my forehead.
"Shh...calm down. You need to rest. Everyone is fine. Avi is so happy her wings grew in." He smiled in a very big-brotherly like way. Around my family, he was losing his cool outer shell. He was being nice and warm. I liked it that way.
His smile faded, though. "James...well..." He removed his hands from my bunny ears and put them in his lap. He twiddled his thumbs.
"Yes?" I was worried. James was a good guy. He was good to everyone, specifically Fay. We got off to a rough start but we were friends now. At least I think.
"He's..."
"What, Jack?" I was getting more concerned by the second.
"James is dead."
And a moment of shock slapped me.
MASON'S POV
There was a rush of cold, bitter wind. I wasn't too cold, but the poor animals looked freezing. You know how sometimes, on those horrible cloudy days, the sun peeks from the clouds? You have me to thank for that.
The hue on the snow, caused by the bright sunlight, let a soft salmon color. salmon.... I'm hungry now. There was a river down the ravine. It seemed familiar. I run too it, and I get a drink of water. The crisp taste of it rushed threw my body. It was fresh from the mountains, from snow that melted. spring is coming. I rush home. Then I stop. I stop to think about what I just said. 'I rush home.' My home. i never called it that before. I ran faster. I needed to see my brother, but first I need to find why this is all happening. Why did that river seem so familiar? Why the sudden urge to see my brother.
I see something rush across the sky. fairies.
I see her... its purity, my sister. sister
i run off to tell my family, but ive been struck by something. dark magic. i fall to the ground. limp, and near death. i sleep
FAY'S POV
I woke up in a small wooden room.
Yawning, I got up, and walked through a door. I saw Trust standing there.
"FAY!" Trust screamed.
"TRUST!" I hollered back.
Trust gave me a big hug.
"I'm so glad you are awake. Do you remember anything?" he said.
"Yeah. The battle, Alice becoming a dragon, and..." I gulped, "James."
"Ok. You just woke up, I should pressure with decisions now. Come downstairs, I'll make you some tea," Trust suggested.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After four cups of tea, and two muffins, Trust asked me a big question.
"Fay, you have a choice to make. You can stay here, and live life as a fairy, and try to forget, or... Or you can go back to your home."
I knew he was going to ask me something like this. James was dead. I was immortal again. I could live here forever, and try to forget him, and my family. I've only known them for around 6 months. I would miss them... I could spy on them as a fairy if I stayed here. Maybe bring them food at night, or mend clothes, like elves do in fairy tales. Haha, fairy tales. Get it?
Anyway, going back would mean dealing with James' death, but it would also mean seeing my family.
CHIVES.
I forgot about him! HOW COULD I FORGET ABOUT MY BROTHER!?
"Trust, I'm staying. But I have to be able to check up on my family when I want to."
"Ok, that fine!" Giving me another hug, Trust said, "It is good to have you back, Puri- Fay."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I got to the house, I saw it in surprisingly good shape. The roof had a burned hole in it, but it was ok.
I flew inside to eavesdrop.
"I think Fay is dead." Ahri said, "At least, thats what Fear told us. We will never know if he was lying or not, because Alice sent them running."
"I might be able to save James..." said Ahri.
I was very surprised. He wasn't dead?
"..but he is in a coma, and probably will never wake up."
Oh.
"Chives, what do you think?"
Chives!
"Fay... Fay..."
Avi whispered something in Ahri's ear. I flew a bit closer to listen.
"Chives hasn't said anything but that since Fay died. I'm worried." Avi whispered.
At that point, I decided to talk to Chives that night.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AHRI'S POV
I was worried about Chives and James. Sure, I didn't really like them but they were family. Flicking my bushy tail, I climbed up the stairs. I couldn't stand to see James in such a state. I slam into my door and get a purple bruise on my forehead. "Owwww." Quickly pushing through the squeaky door, I sit on my bed. My head throbbed with pain, and I quickly spied a paper. reaching towards it, I realize what it is. It was a drawing I had had for a while, one I had made when I was cast out.
It was a picture of me and Aurora. Suddenly I was filled to the brim with grief. I haven't seen Mum in a while. I've heard slight whispers in my dreams, a blur of orange fur in the woods, but she hasn't visited for a while. I missed her very much.
My entire being was filled with grief; from not seeing Aurora, James being almost dead, and Fay being gone. In fact, I think my heart left with Fay. I personally don't like the name Fay, but I call her that out of respect. I would cry, but my tears ran out. There was so much loss. Even seeing all the leaves fall in a rainbow of reds and oranges didn't comfort me.
I felt like my life had crumbled. There wasn't a shred of happiness, only loss. taking my diary out, I peered inside. I read entry after entry, until I came to the last- and the shortest.
"Aurora isn't here."
I stuffed the dusty book into the chest, and turned back to my bed. I wasn't aware of anyone around me so I was going to go to sleep. I hope. My bruise wasn't throbbing now and I was slipping up the ladder to my top bunk when my hand brushed something. My paper on the Paw Stars. I took it out and uncrumpled it. I smiled; it was exactly how I left it.
Climbing up to the bunk bed, I peer out the window. A full moon stood protectively in the sky, watching the stars. Glimpsing a constellation of bright stars, I instantly notice something new. It wasn't one constellation. It was many.
There was a whole trail of paw prints, leading away from the house and into the woods. the trees glowed with an unearthly white, giving the woods a ghostly feel. somehow it reminded me of Purity. Not Fay, Purity.
I was now under a weird trance. Maybe Purity WAS there! Then I could find her, and be a hero! Quickly I packed things. Compass, cookies, a spell book, and my secret charm.
I set out through the window with a rope, and when I landed onto the leaves I breathed in the cold air. I would find her. I was finding Purity!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
AHRI'S POV
I Heard the army outside while i was teaching colli magic. she HAD advanced a lot, i think the is ready. i gathered up fay, colli, and the others. leaving avi inside. and we went outside to meet the army. courage fear and fortitude were in the front. on our side, we had me, Emma, Colli, and Chives.
"Hello there! are you here to offer cosmetics from Avon?" i said, giggling a bit at my joke. even though this wasn't a time to be joking, it was in my nature.
"I see you are confident, even though you only have 4 people." Courage scoffed. "We are here to take Purity back. this environment is too dangerous for her."
"That isn't her name courage, her name is Fay. and you will have a job taking her back. she just got up and dissapeared!" i said to him Emma stepped forward
"did you come here to chit-chat? or is your army afraid of us?" Emma said with a smile
"I wouldn't be so haughty LEECH, the battle hasnt happened yet." fear scoffed at her. courage, fortitude, and fear advanced back behind their army. and they commanded the army to charge forward.~
the army charged forward, and colli and chives met them fighting, colli shielded chives and started firing at them. they seemed to be doing good so far, they already took out 2 or 3 of them. me and emma bounded over the army, flying twords the three leaders.
"You handle courage for a bit, ill handle fear!" emma said to me. i nodded at her, and i exploded into fire, foxfire form activated. i was ready for them now. emma brandished her teeth in a smile, and made clawing motions with her hands as we separated ways. i cast my charm on courage, he wouldnt be doing much yet. i activated fox fire, and dashed twords fortitude. my the foxfires hit her, and i dashed once more. i sent my orb flying at her, she was stunned. she hadnt grasped what had happened yet. i dashed once more, and the orb hit her on the way back and she fell. shame, wasnt much of a fight. but then again, she wasnt really the fighter of the group. i used my last dash, to get away from courage. the charm was off of him, and he would be in a blind rage. and my spells were on cooldown... i looked over at emma. she was winning the battle with fear, she was clawing him faster than seemed possible. she stopped clawing him and started drinking his blood. the way vampires fought truly WAS terrifying, but it had lost its effect on me, i also eat people. i decided to run over to her.
"Hey! dont drink all of his blood, i dont like dry liver!" i joked at her. i sent my orb at him, and i started draining his soul. fay's kind were very strange, but delicious at the same time. they were like honeyed ham, rather than the usual chicken that humans tasted like. after we were done eating, i gestured over to courage. who was charging at me.
"will you help me with him? my charm is still on cooldown, and i dont think i can take him alone" i said, bored.
"im sorry ahri, i have to go take care of some buisness, you can handle him!" and she ran away, faster than light. i dashed through courage, and he got confused of where i was, but felt the magic of me hitting him. my fire hit him. i cast my charm on him once again, and sent my orb at him and let the rest of my fires him him while he was charmed. i had two dashes left. the charm wore off soon, but he was a bit worse for the wear. i dashed out of the way of his slow attacks, hitting him with magic. and i dashed one more time, and he fell. i didnt have time to eat his soul though, the others were in a bit of trouble. we hadnt noticed before, chives was wounded, and the soldiers were advancing on them. suddenly, avi burst through the window, riding on Alice, in firey dragon form. she was laughing and cheering. i watched, horrified as Alice descended onto the soldiers, shooting flames at them through her mouth. then i saw, avi was shooting flames too! little fireballs forming in her hands and shooting at the soldiers.
"AVI! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?!!?!!?!?!!" i shouted
"Saving our family, ahri!" she shouted back. and with a shock, i realized she was right. if she hadnt come chives and colli would have fallen. i wouldnt be able to get there in time. I started to pick off the rest of the soldiers, there was only about 25 left. they started to realize they wouldnt win the battle, and retreated. we let them go, they can go ahead and re-breed their tribe, i would feel bad if their kind went extinct. at-least they wont give us any more trouble.
END OF BATTLE.
MASON'S POV
wake up from the haze. I see Purity, except she seems different.
I start to say, "Purity, why are you so..."
"Small?", she replies, "I'm like this because, I am no longer Purity. Please call me Fay. you have been out cold for a couple of months"
"Errm, ok." I respond, quite confused
"Pur.. Fay, I saw our family. They were in a fight, I just KNOW it happened. im not sure if all of it is true, but im sure James, and our family in trouble.
"I know, I was there for the most part, but i had to leave. My fellow fairies have taken me to this safe haven. They said I can stay here forever, if i wish. Mason.... your brother."
"What about him?"
"He's dead!" she begins to cry, and I run to her. we sit there for hours. we both loved him, her, becuase they were meant to live together, forever. It hurt me, becuase he was my brother. The only thing left in my family. I KNEW he wasn't dead, he couldnt be dead, but he was in mortal danger. I try to comfort her the best I can, letting her cry in my soft, shiny, orange, black, and white fur. Then I tell Fay, trying not to get her hopes up.
"James isn't dead, he IS in danger, but not dead."
How do you know, YOUR NEVER WITH HIM!" she countered, and it stung, but I stay calm, preventing my animal instincts from lashing back at her.
"I know this because, he is my brother. We come from a special line of blood, which is destined to always have twins. my fathers, forefathers, and there forefathers, and so on." I told her, " the twins lives share the same thread. If one of us dies, so does the other. What im guessing is he got hit by something, and it nearly killed him. putting him in a coma. That's why I have been out too. If he was dead, i would share hi same fate."
she sighed with relief. "thank god"
"He's not out of the woods yet, he is still in danger. He still needs to be found.... I miss my family"
Fay looked at me strangely, and I realized I did it again. I said My family. She knew something strange was going on, and asked me to stay behind. She asked true, and trust to see if they could do anything about why I was asking different. I also told Fay that I was getting strange visions, of e as a boy, that I didn't remember. That's when she knew I've been brainwashed. True and Trust began work immediately, and Fay went off to the family house alone. She knew how to fly, so I guess she'll be fine.
ALICE'S POV
Lately, Avi had been limping everywhere. I hopped over to her.
"What do you think of Jack?" I asked. I wanted my family to like my boyfriend.
She thought for a second. "I don't know. I'll get back to you later."
I smiled, but quickly frowned. "What's wrong, Avi? You've been limping and hiding away from us."
Her face was pale and sweating. She had wrapped her wing tightly around her side. Her usually pure-white feathers looked like they were dipped in a red substance. My face became twice as pale as hers.
“Avi.” I said. “What’s wrong?”
Avi mumbled something unintelligible.
“Avi. Let go of your side.” Her wing grip loosened.
“More.” Hesitantly, she removed her wing from her side and crumpled to the floor. My eyes first scanned her side. The reality didn’t hit me at first. I just looked at it, confused. Then reality set into my mind, heavy as a brick. Dark purple rills of blood were streaming off of her side, from a huge gash. It was deep…you could see her…nevermind. I gasped as my eyes focused on the tiny details of her wound. Good thing Emma was away…wait. Where was Emma?!
Great. Two people I had to worry about. It was just easier to worry about Avi because I knew where she was…she was right in front of me, bleeding to death. Her wings were limp, and doused in the blood she was trying to hide.
I made sure no one was looking.
I dragged her outside. I grabbed handfuls of snow and iced her wound with it. She winced, even though she was unconscious.
I turned into a dragon.
Carefully, gently, I took off a scale, broke it in eighths, and turned back into a human.
Since I was now human, the scale seemed giant. It was plenty large enough for Avi’s wound. Heck, it was the size of Avi. Good thing I had the sense to break it into eighths while I still had the strength of a dragon.
I removed the snow, and the gash seemed less serious. At least it wasn’t an angry flaming red. Now that I cleaned up the wound, it looked less inflamed.
I set the scale on the gash, gently and carefully. It shot off beams of shining light. After all, it was a Platinara scale. Platinara scales shine like mirrors, like platinum. I watched as the beams coming from the scale intensified, covering my eyes. It was like a supernova had exploded in her. Rays of light encased her small body.
Finally the light died down and I looked upon Avi. She was fresh-looking. Her cheeks were fuller, instead of being sallow and hollow. Her beak shone a brighter shade. Her skin was clear and bright. Her bloody wings were cleaned up. And most importantly, her wound was healed. Covered with new skin as if nothing happened. I smiled.
Avi opened her eyes. Her eyes were bright, shining like diamonds. “Thank you so much Alice!” she leapt up and hugged me. Her eyes grew wide.
“What did you do to make me better?”
“Shh. You can’t tell anyone I healed you, okay?”
She nodded. We headed back to the house, looking for Emma.
I hoped no one saw.
But I suppose we can't get everything we want.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EMMA'S POV
When I came to, Ahri was standing over me.
For the first time in my life, I felt dirty. Icky. I looked at my hands. They were coved in a blood like substance, but It was black. I smelled it. Blood and Ash.
I looked over at Cal, Collasped on the ground.
"Help me Pick him up, and bring him inside," I told Ahri.
"Hes half dead Em. I'm not going to heal him for you."
My face rock hard, I replied, "He saved my life. Without him, I'd be dead."
"How will you save him?"
"I'll turn him into a vampire."
She soundlessly picked him up, then carry him into the house.
We manage to aviod everyone, and once we get him into my room, Ahri leaves. I fall on the bed, knowing rest will help me complate my task.

ALICE'S POV
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR AVI! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" All of us sang the Happy Birthday song to Avi, who was celebrating her birthday...well...tomorrow. But she wanted cake today and tomorrow...and...well...we couldn't really argue. All of us wanted cake.
Just for presentation, we hadn't lit the candles. That was left to me and Ahri. Ahri used her fox magic to light half of them, while I used a potion of my dragon powers to blow a breath of fire onto them.
With a mighty breath, Avi blew out her candles, which Ahri decorated with miniature feathers. I didn't know where she got the feathers, and I wasn't going to ask. We clapped and clapped. Avi grinned. I cut the cake and handed it to Avi, who crammed it in her mouth hungrily. We laughed. She grinned through her cake-filled beak.
In the midst of celebration, we felt a sad, melancholy hollowness. Colli, Fay, and James were all gone. And where was Mason? I hadn't seen him in forever. There was some new people...but they weren't close enough to be considered family yet. Chives was singing, but I could tell in his empty eyes that when Fay left, a little piece of him was ripped away forever.
A birthday wasn't complete without all the family there.
We sat in silence, enjoying our cake, listening to Avi babble on and on about something she learned. We smiled at her childhood innocence.
Jack, out of the blue, gave her a journal covered in little feathers and pearls. She clapped with delight and hugged him. He was really becoming a big brother to her. I smiled happily. Nothing was better than my family approving of him.
Well, most of the family.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the celebration, we had to finish something we started. James was temporarily buried about a foot deep in the snow outside. We were building a coffin for him. I could still hear Fay's cries echoing in my head. The whole family went outside to properly bury him. Chives stayed behind, and Emma did as well to comfort him. Together, we lifted James out of the snow and laid him in the wooden coffin. I heard a soft cry.
FAY?!?!
I looked around, but Fay was nowhere to be seen. I sulked.
We dug a large, deep hole and sent the coffin sliding in. Before they buried it, I stepped up.
"Everyone, I'd like to do this for Fay." I hopped in the hole, and opened the coffin. There was James, looking peaceful and calm. I bit back a tear...we may have gotten off to a rocky start but I think James and I could have been friends.
I removed a long section of red string from my pocked and tied it around James's wrist, then closed the coffin. I held onto it, hopped to the surface, and they began piling dirt over the coffin. Keeping a firm grip on the string, I made sure it didn't slip.
Once the hole was filled, I took a long, sturdy stick. Not a flimsy one, mind you, it was almost like a log. It pretty much was one. There was a little branch sticking off of the log, and I tied the string around it. I connected a bell in such a way that if the string moved, the bell rung.
"I tied the string to James's wrist. Now if he actually isn't dead, he will move about in the coffin. The motion of his wrist will move the string, and ring the bell. So now if we hear the bell, we must dig him up." It sounded odd now that I was saying it.
"For Fay." I said, and walked back to Jack.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EMMA'S POV
After I had slept, I thought I might as well leave Cal in his little room, so I had went and celebrated the birthday party.
But When alice and everyone went to burry James, I stayed behind. I had told Alice, "I've watched millions die, and then be berried. I don't need to see another one."
I knew that she knew I wanted to just stay back and be with Chives.
I was sitting on the roof with him, watching the furnnal from above.
"Do you think shes really dead?" He asked me
"No, I smell her..but its faint. I wouldn't be able to track her." I replied, emotionless.
I was begingng to think that my powers were getting weaker, two weeks ago, I would have been able to find her.
But now that I knew Amber wanted to kill me, I was being very careful. That spell making me human hadn't worn off yet either.
"Whats on your mind Emma?"
"Will-Will you help me with something?"
"Sure"
~~~~~~~~
We walked into my room, and I open up the panel.
Chives gasped "you're keeping a human in here?"
I nodded.
"Can you do magic." It was a statement, not a question.
He shock his head.
"Leave; I'll be out later"
He left.
I sighed. I needed extra magic.
I bit my arm, wincing as blood poured out onto the floor, then watching as I waited for it to heal. It didn't.
What...
I had to do this fast If I wasn't going to heal. I already felt dizzy. I took Cal's arm and bit it, letting his blood spill onto the floor. He moaned.
"Hang in there. Just a few more..."
I felt faint. Very, unatrually faint.
I spat into the blood, and it turned blue.
"Turn this blood, make it stay, turn its DNA, make it one, as is the person."
Cal stirred. His eyes opened. Blood red. Like me.
Hello friend. Remember me Emma?
No, this...
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD AMBER"
I'll find your friend before you do, and all will be lost
I can send a message back.
I know where they all are, I can save them
Yessssssssss, but not daniel, or his family, I have them. I always have
Daniel died 2000 years ago! You made me kill him!
You sure about that?
I saw a image of Daniel, still blonde, but he had red eyes.
He looked straight at me and smiled, fangs and all.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FAY'S POV
The next months in the Fairy Tree were nice.
I could do whatever I wanted. I mastered flying, and I can also make some mean cookies. If I multiply the ingredients, I can make them when I am human!
I was with True, and Trust. Happiness gave me my flying lessons. Around the time when it was Avi's birthday, something amazing happened.
Mason told me something.
He said that James is alive.
I burst into tears. I cried for a while, out of pure joy, of course.
I grabbed the cookie recipe, and headed to say goodbye to True, Trust, and Happiness.
'I'll miss you guys! I'll visit, I promise!" I said to them.
After a few tears, and MANY hugs, I was on my way.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I turned human. It felt odd not having my wings.
I knocked on the door.
"Hello?" I called.
"NO FRICKIN WAY," I heard someone say.
"Helloooo?" I said again, shaking with joy.
"F-Fay?" a small voice said.
"Avi?" I replied.
The door flew open, and little Avi jumped into my arms.
"FAAAYYY!!!!!!" she screamed.
"What!? FAY?!" I heard voices say from upstairs.
Ahri, Emma, and Alice came sprinting downstairs.
"What?! FAY!" they screamed while tackle-hugging me.
"Where were you?!" Ahri asked.
"I was with my childhood friends, at the Fairy Tree, with Mason. OH CRAP. I forgot Mason!" I said, exasperated.
"I missed you! It has been a month for so!" Emma said.
"I missed you too!!" I replied.
Alice gave me a huge hug. She gave me the biggest hug.
"Fay... I have bad news... James. We buried him today." Alice said.
"What the heck!? Dig him up! HE IS ALIVE!" I shouted.
"I don't think he is." Alice told me.
I stomped inside, and grabbed a knife. I cut a slit in my finger. It hurt, and bled.
"Look. I'm not immortal! James is fine!!" I screamed, worried he might run out of air.
"Coli, get the shovels," Ahri commanded.
~~~~~~~~
"Work, slaves! WORK!" I ordered, trying to lighten the mood by joking.
"Yes master Fay" Ahri said, sticking out her tongue.
While my family was digging, I decided to talk to Chives.
Walking into his room, I saw him sleeping. Only Chives would sleep through something like this.
I noticed James' bed was still there. I guessed Alice moved to me and Coli's room.
"Chives?" I said, to wake him up.
"F-Fay, shh... WAIT FAY?!" he said, springing out of bed.
He embraced me, and I told him everything. He said that James was dead, and I told him about him being alive.
We rushed outside to see James, and help unbury him.
~~~~~~~~~~
They were lifting the coffin out of the ground when I came out.
I saw a pounding on the top, and a bell ringing.
I rushed forward and opened the coffin.
James, pale, yet alive, was there. The insides of the coffin were shredded
James had claws, instead of hand.
As soon as he saw me, the claws faded.
We said nothing.
I leaned forward and wrapped my arms around him. He did the same to me. I sat there, sobbing, while James was still half in the coffin.I leaned back and kissed him, still crying.
Ahri and Emma carried James into his room, but I didn't let go of his hand.
They lay him down on his bed. He sat up, and I sat next to him, tears running down my face.
"Don't you EVER do that again." I told him.
"I won't, Fay," James said.
I kissed him again, then put my head on his shoulder. He had his arms tightly around me, like a protective force field.
I noticed Ahri, Emma, and Chives standing there.
Ahri was fighting back tears, while Chives had his arm around Emma.
Wow. When did THAT happen? It is so cute!
Things couldn't be better.
All was well.
AVI'S POV
It is nearing Christmas. All of us hung our stockings up and decorated the house, half of us decorating outside and half of us inside. I think we've finally smoothed out the bumps and we'll be okay. We have stockpiled food for a Christmas dinner and we play in the snow more. Everything is happy. Our life is almost...perfect.
" title="Smile">
END OF BOOK 1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Avi's secret kingdom
"Happy birthday to you!" They finished singing the song ad a blew out the candles. Ahri slices the ale and gives us each. I get the largest slice and I stuff it into my beak.
"Can I hab a gowld apple because it's my birday?" I asked with my beak still full.
"Sure" Ahri gives me a gold apple. I felt stronger, happier, and less tired.
"Bring me presents!" I told everyone. First Colli's present. It was a book all about bird people and other half animals.
"Thank you!" I say. I create a birthday pile by tossing each of my presents in the same spot. Next Fay's gift. It was a necklace that had a tiny blue orb in the middle with 2 feathers on each side.
"Thank you Fay!" after opening each present I examine my pile. A necklace, a book, some toys, and more. I put on the necklace and dig through my pile. Sparky jumps on me with a pine cone in his mouth.
"Thanks Sparky!" I giggle. I take his gift and he eats the food from the floor.
"James take my presents to my room! And I don't want any of them to be ruined!" That would be hard because my room was up the stairs.
I play with my necklace and turn to Fay.
"It's pretty"
"It looks great on you. It's a good luck charm" she tells me
" yay!" I'm lucky!
"To the couch! Everyone! Including you James. Just drop my stuff there" James drops my things at the top of the stairs and we all cuddle on the couch. What a wonderful night. The fire blazed, the stars shined, but something was lurking in the night. planning to strike in three days.... Peregrine.
~~~~~~~~~
I was playing outside with the rest of the family. Little Sparky ran off to the woods, however no one noticed until it was the next day. I was very upset. Ahri said he was gone for too long so he would be far away. I wanted to look for him, so I ran away. I climbed through the trees. The leaves tickled me and I woont come back until I find Sparky, my prince. I came across a vine that lead down into a little clearing. it seemed magical, enchanted. There was the vine I climbed down and a few ropes hanging down too. there was a little flower in bloom. Sticks littered the ground. There was a rock, a special rock. Want to know what made it special? a beam of light came through the trees to shine on it, but on it, was Sparky. I dashed and hugged him. He hugged me with his wings. I turned around to look at the clearing.
"I could make something of this..." I thought.
"I could make this my kingdom. The kingdom of Quartara!" I shouted. No one could hear me here. Good. I did pack some supplies when I ran off. I had paper, apples, a stick, some rocks.... Paper! I have paper. I quickly mapped how to get here.
I picked up the sticks from the ground and began to make a little hut. I used some magic I learned from Colli's book to help me. I named the flower the blossom of Quartara. Here, Sparky really could be my prince. Not just a prince, my knight. Prince Tutsoya.
"Next time," I thought. "I will sneak back here and bring more supplies" . I gestured Sparky to follow and we headed back home.
"I got Sparky! al by myself!" I shouted. a tiny echo went through the house.
"Great!" Some said.
"Good to have you back Sparky!" Others said.
That's night I planned what to do with my kingdom. I will sneak things from the house, and I will use magic to help me make my kingdom prosper. I hid my things and went to sleep. the next morning I asked if I could have two wood swords, one for me and one for Sparky. I made myself look cute and Made me seem like I would do nothing wrong. The said yes and I got to tie a smaller wood sword onto Sparky's back. Sorta to make him look Prince like. It wasn't in the way of his wings of course.
"I'm going for a walk in the woods!" I tell Ahri.
"Okay" I grab my things from my room and make sure no one sees me with them. I make it to the forest and follow my map. I made it to he clearing. I look up from my map.
"What?! it's not here!!!!" I got very worried. have I lost my kingdom? I climb up into the trees and have Sparky follow.
"What?"
The vine was right in front of me.
"Hmmmm...." I say. I climb down into the clearing and look at all my stuff. I brought one of my presents, I little knife. I carve a Q into the biggest tree. Sparky climbs onto the rock. his throne I thought. I saw some other rocks and pushed them in place to make MY throne. There was a fat birch branch sitting on the ground. Time to test my skills. I stand in front of it and start my spell. I close focus on the branch and close my eyes. I open them to see the branch carved, how I imagined. I picked it up.
"My staff." I thought. I used the knife to carve designs onto the sides. There was a hole, a large hole, probably made my a dog digging something up. I put my special things in there for safe keeping.
I climb up the vine and look back at my kingdom.
"Goodbye my kingdom. I shall see you when the sun rises" I whisper. I climb up and Sparky follows. We head back to the house.
"This is MY secret. No one shall know unless I tell them. And no one WILL find it.... Because it has a spell on it, a spell I didn't cast though. You can only locate it through the trees." I thought. I go to bed early, dreaming about my kingdom.
The kingdom of Quartara
~~~~~~~
I woke up with Colli shaking me.
"you over slept. You dont want to miss breakfast" Colli said.
"Okay ill come down in a minute." I told her.
I picked up Sparky and tried to remember my plans for the kingdom. When the idea popped back into my head i went down stairs, nearly tripping on one of the stairs.
I gobbled up my breakfast and picked up my sword. "Im goin out." I say.
"Im gonna come too!" Colli says while pushing in her chair.
"Im going on a walk" We were walking out the door.
"Ill walk with you!" she says.
"Please can i go alone?" I ask.
"Why cant I come?"
I sigh. "Do you PROMISE to keep a secret?"
"yes" She says.
"Cross your heart?" I ask.
"I cross my heart." She makes an imaginary cross on her heart.
"Okay follow me. Don't tell ANYONE about this place."
"I knoow. I promised." She tells me.
"You have to follow my exact route, okay?"
"okay" She seemed very curious.
I just remembered i forgot Sparky. "stay here. DO NOT move or you will get lost, or i will get lost trying to find you."
"Okay Avi"
I run as quickly to the house as i can. I Trip over a root, but i get to my feet and brush off the dirt on me.
I open the door and Sparky runs out. We head back to the place I left Colli. She was still there, relieved to see me.
I beckon her to follow and i climb up a tree. She follows along with Prince Tutsoya. I climb down the vine and she follows. When we make it to the clearing she looks in awe.
"This is MY kingdom. The kingdom of Quartara!" I say with pride. I feel relieved, to have at least One person to know my secret. I show her each part of the kingdom i created, i show artifacts of the kingdom and i tell her how i made it. I also told her to never go here alone, because IM the ruler.
We play Kingdom until the sky grows purple and the clouds get tinted with pink. We head home and i remind her one last time to keep the secret.
Our special secret...

THE END.
I'm planning on making one post with EVERYTHING on it, and locking it.

AVI'S POV
everything was a blur. I sneak up in to the roof and look at my wings. I jump off and begin to glide through the air. It felt great. I search for weaker opponents. I fly behind someone and push them over, I then jump on top of them and peck their head. I rake my small talons down his back and I fly up out of reach. I do the same attacks when I think of a new one. when no one is looking I fly to the ground and act dead. I open my eyes the slightest bit. Someone came near so I move my leg causing them to fall on another person. I peck both of them and rake my talons down their backs. I decide to stay low for a bit. I trip a lot of people when I come by Alice. She was furious, she told me to get away and she turned into a dragon. While I was watching someone snuck up behind me and knocked me over. he creates a large gash in my side.
"I dnt think three year olds should go into battle." He snickers.
Alice, yells stop in her double edge voice. She attacks Fear and causes all of the army to leave.
Is everyone all right? I wonder
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ALICE'S POV
After they left, I shrank into girl form.
Everyone sort of stared at me, shocked.
"Alice..." Someone called. I didn't answer, I was still burning anger from Fear's disrespect towards Fay.
Speaking of Fay, where was she?!
"Give me a second to calm down..." I pointed my finger at them...then my legs swayed and I blacked out. Jack rushed to help me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke next to the fire. My usual spot. Soon it would be too warm to sit by the fire. Jack was sitting next to my sleeping form, petting my ears.
He laughed. "My vicious little Platinara." He kissed my head. "That was quite a transformation. You alright?" He knew I was alright, though. He was a dragon himself, he knew that I would be fine.
I smiled sleepily. "Of course I'm fine."
I frowned. "But where's Fay?"
He smiled. "You really treat her like a sister." I nodded. "Any girl in this family is my sister. Any boy is my brother. I'll defend them all."
He sighed and rolled his eyes. "You Platinaras are so defensive sometimes..." he winked, a sure sign he was just joking around.
I closed my eyes again, at peace. Then I remembered Fay. Again.
"I do wonder where she is, though...I hope nothing happened to her. I haven't seen her since I turned into a dragon..."
"Yeah. She hates me, but I think she's nice. She probably thinks I hate her." He chuckled.
"She sure loves James a lot." I smiled at the memories of them together.
"Yeah. It reminds me of you and me." He said this corny comment because he knows that romantic and cheesy things annoy me. I slapped his leg. Or at least tried to. The slap came out pitiful and weak because I was tired.
"No cheesy comments."
He held up his hands in mock surrender. "Alright."
"Her and James are so cute."
Wait.
James!
"Is everyone alright? Specifically James, he seemed to be in pretty bad condition." Worry lines creased my forehead.
"Shh...calm down. You need to rest. Everyone is fine. Avi is so happy her wings grew in." He smiled in a very big-brotherly like way. Around my family, he was losing his cool outer shell. He was being nice and warm. I liked it that way.
His smile faded, though. "James...well..." He removed his hands from my bunny ears and put them in his lap. He twiddled his thumbs.
"Yes?" I was worried. James was a good guy. He was good to everyone, specifically Fay. We got off to a rough start but we were friends now. At least I think.
"He's..."
"What, Jack?" I was getting more concerned by the second.
"James is dead."
And a moment of shock slapped me.

MASON'S POV
There was a rush of cold, bitter wind. I wasn't too cold, but the poor animals looked freezing. You know how sometimes, on those horrible cloudy days, the sun peeks from the clouds? You have me to thank for that.
The hue on the snow, caused by the bright sunlight, let a soft salmon color. salmon.... I'm hungry now. There was a river down the ravine. It seemed familiar. I run too it, and I get a drink of water. The crisp taste of it rushed threw my body. It was fresh from the mountains, from snow that melted. spring is coming. I rush home. Then I stop. I stop to think about what I just said. 'I rush home.' My home. i never called it that before. I ran faster. I needed to see my brother, but first I need to find why this is all happening. Why did that river seem so familiar? Why the sudden urge to see my brother.
I see something rush across the sky. fairies.
I see her... its purity, my sister. sister
i run off to tell my family, but ive been struck by something. dark magic. i fall to the ground. limp, and near death. i sleep

FAY'S POV
I woke up in a small wooden room.
Yawning, I got up, and walked through a door. I saw Trust standing there.
"FAY!" Trust screamed.
"TRUST!" I hollered back.
Trust gave me a big hug.
"I'm so glad you are awake. Do you remember anything?" he said.
"Yeah. The battle, Alice becoming a dragon, and..." I gulped, "James."
"Ok. You just woke up, I should pressure with decisions now. Come downstairs, I'll make you some tea," Trust suggested.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After four cups of tea, and two muffins, Trust asked me a big question.
"Fay, you have a choice to make. You can stay here, and live life as a fairy, and try to forget, or... Or you can go back to your home."
I knew he was going to ask me something like this. James was dead. I was immortal again. I could live here forever, and try to forget him, and my family. I've only known them for around 6 months. I would miss them... I could spy on them as a fairy if I stayed here. Maybe bring them food at night, or mend clothes, like elves do in fairy tales. Haha, fairy tales. Get it?
Anyway, going back would mean dealing with James' death, but it would also mean seeing my family.
CHIVES.
I forgot about him! HOW COULD I FORGET ABOUT MY BROTHER!?
"Trust, I'm staying. But I have to be able to check up on my family when I want to."
"Ok, that fine!" Giving me another hug, Trust said, "It is good to have you back, Puri- Fay."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I got to the house, I saw it in surprisingly good shape. The roof had a burned hole in it, but it was ok.
I flew inside to eavesdrop.
"I think Fay is dead." Ahri said, "At least, thats what Fear told us. We will never know if he was lying or not, because Alice sent them running."
"I might be able to save James..." said Ahri.
I was very surprised. He wasn't dead?
"..but he is in a coma, and probably will never wake up."
Oh.
"Chives, what do you think?"
Chives!
"Fay... Fay..."
Avi whispered something in Ahri's ear. I flew a bit closer to listen.
"Chives hasn't said anything but that since Fay died. I'm worried." Avi whispered.
At that point, I decided to talk to Chives that night.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AHRI'S POV
I was worried about Chives and James. Sure, I didn't really like them but they were family. Flicking my bushy tail, I climbed up the stairs. I couldn't stand to see James in such a state. I slam into my door and get a purple bruise on my forehead. "Owwww." Quickly pushing through the squeaky door, I sit on my bed. My head throbbed with pain, and I quickly spied a paper. reaching towards it, I realize what it is. It was a drawing I had had for a while, one I had made when I was cast out.
It was a picture of me and Aurora. Suddenly I was filled to the brim with grief. I haven't seen Mum in a while. I've heard slight whispers in my dreams, a blur of orange fur in the woods, but she hasn't visited for a while. I missed her very much.
My entire being was filled with grief; from not seeing Aurora, James being almost dead, and Fay being gone. In fact, I think my heart left with Fay. I personally don't like the name Fay, but I call her that out of respect. I would cry, but my tears ran out. There was so much loss. Even seeing all the leaves fall in a rainbow of reds and oranges didn't comfort me.
I felt like my life had crumbled. There wasn't a shred of happiness, only loss. taking my diary out, I peered inside. I read entry after entry, until I came to the last- and the shortest.
"Aurora isn't here."
I stuffed the dusty book into the chest, and turned back to my bed. I wasn't aware of anyone around me so I was going to go to sleep. I hope. My bruise wasn't throbbing now and I was slipping up the ladder to my top bunk when my hand brushed something. My paper on the Paw Stars. I took it out and uncrumpled it. I smiled; it was exactly how I left it.
Climbing up to the bunk bed, I peer out the window. A full moon stood protectively in the sky, watching the stars. Glimpsing a constellation of bright stars, I instantly notice something new. It wasn't one constellation. It was many.
There was a whole trail of paw prints, leading away from the house and into the woods. the trees glowed with an unearthly white, giving the woods a ghostly feel. somehow it reminded me of Purity. Not Fay, Purity.
I was now under a weird trance. Maybe Purity WAS there! Then I could find her, and be a hero! Quickly I packed things. Compass, cookies, a spell book, and my secret charm.
I set out through the window with a rope, and when I landed onto the leaves I breathed in the cold air. I would find her. I was finding Purity!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
AHRI'S POV
I Heard the army outside while i was teaching colli magic. she HAD advanced a lot, i think the is ready. i gathered up fay, colli, and the others. leaving avi inside. and we went outside to meet the army. courage fear and fortitude were in the front. on our side, we had me, Emma, Colli, and Chives.
"Hello there! are you here to offer cosmetics from Avon?" i said, giggling a bit at my joke. even though this wasn't a time to be joking, it was in my nature.
"I see you are confident, even though you only have 4 people." Courage scoffed. "We are here to take Purity back. this environment is too dangerous for her."
"That isn't her name courage, her name is Fay. and you will have a job taking her back. she just got up and dissapeared!" i said to him Emma stepped forward
"did you come here to chit-chat? or is your army afraid of us?" Emma said with a smile
"I wouldn't be so haughty LEECH, the battle hasnt happened yet." fear scoffed at her. courage, fortitude, and fear advanced back behind their army. and they commanded the army to charge forward.~
the army charged forward, and colli and chives met them fighting, colli shielded chives and started firing at them. they seemed to be doing good so far, they already took out 2 or 3 of them. me and emma bounded over the army, flying twords the three leaders.
"You handle courage for a bit, ill handle fear!" emma said to me. i nodded at her, and i exploded into fire, foxfire form activated. i was ready for them now. emma brandished her teeth in a smile, and made clawing motions with her hands as we separated ways. i cast my charm on courage, he wouldnt be doing much yet. i activated fox fire, and dashed twords fortitude. my the foxfires hit her, and i dashed once more. i sent my orb flying at her, she was stunned. she hadnt grasped what had happened yet. i dashed once more, and the orb hit her on the way back and she fell. shame, wasnt much of a fight. but then again, she wasnt really the fighter of the group. i used my last dash, to get away from courage. the charm was off of him, and he would be in a blind rage. and my spells were on cooldown... i looked over at emma. she was winning the battle with fear, she was clawing him faster than seemed possible. she stopped clawing him and started drinking his blood. the way vampires fought truly WAS terrifying, but it had lost its effect on me, i also eat people. i decided to run over to her.
"Hey! dont drink all of his blood, i dont like dry liver!" i joked at her. i sent my orb at him, and i started draining his soul. fay's kind were very strange, but delicious at the same time. they were like honeyed ham, rather than the usual chicken that humans tasted like. after we were done eating, i gestured over to courage. who was charging at me.
"will you help me with him? my charm is still on cooldown, and i dont think i can take him alone" i said, bored.
"im sorry ahri, i have to go take care of some buisness, you can handle him!" and she ran away, faster than light. i dashed through courage, and he got confused of where i was, but felt the magic of me hitting him. my fire hit him. i cast my charm on him once again, and sent my orb at him and let the rest of my fires him him while he was charmed. i had two dashes left. the charm wore off soon, but he was a bit worse for the wear. i dashed out of the way of his slow attacks, hitting him with magic. and i dashed one more time, and he fell. i didnt have time to eat his soul though, the others were in a bit of trouble. we hadnt noticed before, chives was wounded, and the soldiers were advancing on them. suddenly, avi burst through the window, riding on Alice, in firey dragon form. she was laughing and cheering. i watched, horrified as Alice descended onto the soldiers, shooting flames at them through her mouth. then i saw, avi was shooting flames too! little fireballs forming in her hands and shooting at the soldiers.
"AVI! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?!!?!!?!?!!" i shouted
"Saving our family, ahri!" she shouted back. and with a shock, i realized she was right. if she hadnt come chives and colli would have fallen. i wouldnt be able to get there in time. I started to pick off the rest of the soldiers, there was only about 25 left. they started to realize they wouldnt win the battle, and retreated. we let them go, they can go ahead and re-breed their tribe, i would feel bad if their kind went extinct. at-least they wont give us any more trouble.
END OF BATTLE.

MASON'S POV
wake up from the haze. I see Purity, except she seems different.
I start to say, "Purity, why are you so..."
"Small?", she replies, "I'm like this because, I am no longer Purity. Please call me Fay. you have been out cold for a couple of months"
"Errm, ok." I respond, quite confused
"Pur.. Fay, I saw our family. They were in a fight, I just KNOW it happened. im not sure if all of it is true, but im sure James, and our family in trouble.
"I know, I was there for the most part, but i had to leave. My fellow fairies have taken me to this safe haven. They said I can stay here forever, if i wish. Mason.... your brother."
"What about him?"
"He's dead!" she begins to cry, and I run to her. we sit there for hours. we both loved him, her, becuase they were meant to live together, forever. It hurt me, becuase he was my brother. The only thing left in my family. I KNEW he wasn't dead, he couldnt be dead, but he was in mortal danger. I try to comfort her the best I can, letting her cry in my soft, shiny, orange, black, and white fur. Then I tell Fay, trying not to get her hopes up.
"James isn't dead, he IS in danger, but not dead."
How do you know, YOUR NEVER WITH HIM!" she countered, and it stung, but I stay calm, preventing my animal instincts from lashing back at her.
"I know this because, he is my brother. We come from a special line of blood, which is destined to always have twins. my fathers, forefathers, and there forefathers, and so on." I told her, " the twins lives share the same thread. If one of us dies, so does the other. What im guessing is he got hit by something, and it nearly killed him. putting him in a coma. That's why I have been out too. If he was dead, i would share hi same fate."
she sighed with relief. "thank god"
"He's not out of the woods yet, he is still in danger. He still needs to be found.... I miss my family"
Fay looked at me strangely, and I realized I did it again. I said My family. She knew something strange was going on, and asked me to stay behind. She asked true, and trust to see if they could do anything about why I was asking different. I also told Fay that I was getting strange visions, of e as a boy, that I didn't remember. That's when she knew I've been brainwashed. True and Trust began work immediately, and Fay went off to the family house alone. She knew how to fly, so I guess she'll be fine.

ALICE'S POV
Lately, Avi had been limping everywhere. I hopped over to her.
"What do you think of Jack?" I asked. I wanted my family to like my boyfriend.
She thought for a second. "I don't know. I'll get back to you later."
I smiled, but quickly frowned. "What's wrong, Avi? You've been limping and hiding away from us."
Her face was pale and sweating. She had wrapped her wing tightly around her side. Her usually pure-white feathers looked like they were dipped in a red substance. My face became twice as pale as hers.
“Avi.” I said. “What’s wrong?”
Avi mumbled something unintelligible.
“Avi. Let go of your side.” Her wing grip loosened.
“More.” Hesitantly, she removed her wing from her side and crumpled to the floor. My eyes first scanned her side. The reality didn’t hit me at first. I just looked at it, confused. Then reality set into my mind, heavy as a brick. Dark purple rills of blood were streaming off of her side, from a huge gash. It was deep…you could see her…nevermind. I gasped as my eyes focused on the tiny details of her wound. Good thing Emma was away…wait. Where was Emma?!
Great. Two people I had to worry about. It was just easier to worry about Avi because I knew where she was…she was right in front of me, bleeding to death. Her wings were limp, and doused in the blood she was trying to hide.
I made sure no one was looking.
I dragged her outside. I grabbed handfuls of snow and iced her wound with it. She winced, even though she was unconscious.
I turned into a dragon.
Carefully, gently, I took off a scale, broke it in eighths, and turned back into a human.
Since I was now human, the scale seemed giant. It was plenty large enough for Avi’s wound. Heck, it was the size of Avi. Good thing I had the sense to break it into eighths while I still had the strength of a dragon.
I removed the snow, and the gash seemed less serious. At least it wasn’t an angry flaming red. Now that I cleaned up the wound, it looked less inflamed.
I set the scale on the gash, gently and carefully. It shot off beams of shining light. After all, it was a Platinara scale. Platinara scales shine like mirrors, like platinum. I watched as the beams coming from the scale intensified, covering my eyes. It was like a supernova had exploded in her. Rays of light encased her small body.
Finally the light died down and I looked upon Avi. She was fresh-looking. Her cheeks were fuller, instead of being sallow and hollow. Her beak shone a brighter shade. Her skin was clear and bright. Her bloody wings were cleaned up. And most importantly, her wound was healed. Covered with new skin as if nothing happened. I smiled.
Avi opened her eyes. Her eyes were bright, shining like diamonds. “Thank you so much Alice!” she leapt up and hugged me. Her eyes grew wide.
“What did you do to make me better?”
“Shh. You can’t tell anyone I healed you, okay?”
She nodded. We headed back to the house, looking for Emma.
I hoped no one saw.
But I suppose we can't get everything we want.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the celebration, we had to finish something we started. James was temporarily buried about a foot deep in the snow outside. We were building a coffin for him. I could still hear Fay's cries echoing in my head. The whole family went outside to properly bury him. Chives stayed behind, and Emma did as well to comfort him. Together, we lifted James out of the snow and laid him in the wooden coffin. I heard a soft cry.
FAY?!?!
I looked around, but Fay was nowhere to be seen. I sulked.
We dug a large, deep hole and sent the coffin sliding in. Before they buried it, I stepped up.
"Everyone, I'd like to do this for Fay." I hopped in the hole, and opened the coffin. There was James, looking peaceful and calm. I bit back a tear...we may have gotten off to a rocky start but I think James and I could have been friends.
I removed a long section of red string from my pocked and tied it around James's wrist, then closed the coffin. I held onto it, hopped to the surface, and they began piling dirt over the coffin. Keeping a firm grip on the string, I made sure it didn't slip.
Once the hole was filled, I took a long, sturdy stick. Not a flimsy one, mind you, it was almost like a log. It pretty much was one. There was a little branch sticking off of the log, and I tied the string around it. I connected a bell in such a way that if the string moved, the bell rung.
"I tied the string to James's wrist. Now if he actually isn't dead, he will move about in the coffin. The motion of his wrist will move the string, and ring the bell. So now if we hear the bell, we must dig him up." It sounded odd now that I was saying it.
"For Fay." I said, and walked back to Jack.
EMMA'S POV
After I had slept, I thought I might as well leave Cal in his little room, so I had went and celebrated the birthday party.
But When alice and everyone went to burry James, I stayed behind. I had told Alice, "I've watched millions die, and then be berried. I don't need to see another one."
I knew that she knew I wanted to just stay back and be with Chives.
I was sitting on the roof with him, watching the furnnal from above.
"Do you think shes really dead?" He asked me
"No, I smell her..but its faint. I wouldn't be able to track her." I replied, emotionless.
I was begingng to think that my powers were getting weaker, two weeks ago, I would have been able to find her.
But now that I knew Amber wanted to kill me, I was being very careful. That spell making me human hadn't worn off yet either.
"Whats on your mind Emma?"
"Will-Will you help me with something?"
"Sure"
~~~~~~~~
We walked into my room, and I open up the panel.
Chives gasped "you're keeping a human in here?"
I nodded.
"Can you do magic." It was a statement, not a question.
He shock his head.
"Leave; I'll be out later"
He left.
I sighed. I needed extra magic.
I bit my arm, wincing as blood poured out onto the floor, then watching as I waited for it to heal. It didn't.
What...
I had to do this fast If I wasn't going to heal. I already felt dizzy. I took Cal's arm and bit it, letting his blood spill onto the floor. He moaned.
"Hang in there. Just a few more..."
I felt faint. Very, unatrually faint.
I spat into the blood, and it turned blue.
"Turn this blood, make it stay, turn its DNA, make it one, as is the person."
Cal stirred. His eyes opened. Blood red. Like me.
Hello friend. Remember me Emma?
No, this...
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD AMBER"
I'll find your friend before you do, and all will be lost
I can send a message back.
I know where they all are, I can save them
Yessssssssss, but not daniel, or his family, I have them. I always have
Daniel died 2000 years ago! You made me kill him!
You sure about that?
I saw a image of Daniel, still blonde, but he had red eyes.
He looked straight at me and smiled, fangs and all.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I turned human. It felt odd not having my wings.
I knocked on the door.
"Hello?" I called.
"NO FRICKIN WAY," I heard someone say.
"Helloooo?" I said again, shaking with joy.
"F-Fay?" a small voice said.
"Avi?" I replied.
The door flew open, and little Avi jumped into my arms.
"FAAAYYY!!!!!!" she screamed.
"What!? FAY?!" I heard voices say from upstairs.
Ahri, Emma, and Alice came sprinting downstairs.
"What?! FAY!" they screamed while tackle-hugging me.
"Where were you?!" Ahri asked.
"I was with my childhood friends, at the Fairy Tree, with Mason. OH CRAP. I forgot Mason!" I said, exasperated.
"I missed you! It has been a month for so!" Emma said.
"I missed you too!!" I replied.
Alice gave me a huge hug. She gave me the biggest hug.
"Fay... I have bad news... James. We buried him today." Alice said.
"What the heck!? Dig him up! HE IS ALIVE!" I shouted.
"I don't think he is." Alice told me.
I stomped inside, and grabbed a knife. I cut a slit in my finger. It hurt, and bled.
"Look. I'm not immortal! James is fine!!" I screamed, worried he might run out of air.
"Coli, get the shovels," Ahri commanded.
~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~
They were lifting the coffin out of the ground when I came out.
I saw a pounding on the top, and a bell ringing.
I rushed forward and opened the coffin.
James, pale, yet alive, was there. The insides of the coffin were shredded
James had claws, instead of hand.
As soon as he saw me, the claws faded.
We said nothing.
I leaned forward and wrapped my arms around him. He did the same to me. I sat there, sobbing, while James was still half in the coffin.I leaned back and kissed him, still crying.
Ahri and Emma carried James into his room, but I didn't let go of his hand.
They lay him down on his bed. He sat up, and I sat next to him, tears running down my face.
"Don't you EVER do that again." I told him.
"I won't, Fay," James said.
I kissed him again, then put my head on his shoulder. He had his arms tightly around me, like a protective force field.
I noticed Ahri, Emma, and Chives standing there.
Ahri was fighting back tears, while Chives had his arm around Emma.
Wow. When did THAT happen? It is so cute!
Things couldn't be better.
All was well.
AVI'S POV
It is nearing Christmas. All of us hung our stockings up and decorated the house, half of us decorating outside and half of us inside. I think we've finally smoothed out the bumps and we'll be okay. We have stockpiled food for a Christmas dinner and we play in the snow more. Everything is happy. Our life is almost...perfect.
END OF BOOK 1
Avi's secret kingdom
"Happy birthday to you!" They finished singing the song ad a blew out the candles. Ahri slices the ale and gives us each. I get the largest slice and I stuff it into my beak.
"Can I hab a gowld apple because it's my birday?" I asked with my beak still full.
"Sure" Ahri gives me a gold apple. I felt stronger, happier, and less tired.
"Bring me presents!" I told everyone. First Colli's present. It was a book all about bird people and other half animals.
"Thank you!" I say. I create a birthday pile by tossing each of my presents in the same spot. Next Fay's gift. It was a necklace that had a tiny blue orb in the middle with 2 feathers on each side.
"Thank you Fay!" after opening each present I examine my pile. A necklace, a book, some toys, and more. I put on the necklace and dig through my pile. Sparky jumps on me with a pine cone in his mouth.
"Thanks Sparky!" I giggle. I take his gift and he eats the food from the floor.
"James take my presents to my room! And I don't want any of them to be ruined!" That would be hard because my room was up the stairs.
I play with my necklace and turn to Fay.
"It's pretty"
"It looks great on you. It's a good luck charm" she tells me
" yay!" I'm lucky!
"To the couch! Everyone! Including you James. Just drop my stuff there" James drops my things at the top of the stairs and we all cuddle on the couch. What a wonderful night. The fire blazed, the stars shined, but something was lurking in the night. planning to strike in three days.... Peregrine.
~~~~~~~~~
I was playing outside with the rest of the family. Little Sparky ran off to the woods, however no one noticed until it was the next day. I was very upset. Ahri said he was gone for too long so he would be far away. I wanted to look for him, so I ran away. I climbed through the trees. The leaves tickled me and I woont come back until I find Sparky, my prince. I came across a vine that lead down into a little clearing. it seemed magical, enchanted. There was the vine I climbed down and a few ropes hanging down too. there was a little flower in bloom. Sticks littered the ground. There was a rock, a special rock. Want to know what made it special? a beam of light came through the trees to shine on it, but on it, was Sparky. I dashed and hugged him. He hugged me with his wings. I turned around to look at the clearing.
"I could make something of this..." I thought.
"I could make this my kingdom. The kingdom of Quartara!" I shouted. No one could hear me here. Good. I did pack some supplies when I ran off. I had paper, apples, a stick, some rocks.... Paper! I have paper. I quickly mapped how to get here.
I picked up the sticks from the ground and began to make a little hut. I used some magic I learned from Colli's book to help me. I named the flower the blossom of Quartara. Here, Sparky really could be my prince. Not just a prince, my knight. Prince Tutsoya.
"Next time," I thought. "I will sneak back here and bring more supplies" . I gestured Sparky to follow and we headed back home.
"I got Sparky! al by myself!" I shouted. a tiny echo went through the house.
"Great!" Some said.
"Good to have you back Sparky!" Others said.
That's night I planned what to do with my kingdom. I will sneak things from the house, and I will use magic to help me make my kingdom prosper. I hid my things and went to sleep. the next morning I asked if I could have two wood swords, one for me and one for Sparky. I made myself look cute and Made me seem like I would do nothing wrong. The said yes and I got to tie a smaller wood sword onto Sparky's back. Sorta to make him look Prince like. It wasn't in the way of his wings of course.
"I'm going for a walk in the woods!" I tell Ahri.
"Okay" I grab my things from my room and make sure no one sees me with them. I make it to the forest and follow my map. I made it to he clearing. I look up from my map.
"What?! it's not here!!!!" I got very worried. have I lost my kingdom? I climb up into the trees and have Sparky follow.
"What?"
The vine was right in front of me.
"Hmmmm...." I say. I climb down into the clearing and look at all my stuff. I brought one of my presents, I little knife. I carve a Q into the biggest tree. Sparky climbs onto the rock. his throne I thought. I saw some other rocks and pushed them in place to make MY throne. There was a fat birch branch sitting on the ground. Time to test my skills. I stand in front of it and start my spell. I close focus on the branch and close my eyes. I open them to see the branch carved, how I imagined. I picked it up.
"My staff." I thought. I used the knife to carve designs onto the sides. There was a hole, a large hole, probably made my a dog digging something up. I put my special things in there for safe keeping.
I climb up the vine and look back at my kingdom.
"Goodbye my kingdom. I shall see you when the sun rises" I whisper. I climb up and Sparky follows. We head back to the house.
"This is MY secret. No one shall know unless I tell them. And no one WILL find it.... Because it has a spell on it, a spell I didn't cast though. You can only locate it through the trees." I thought. I go to bed early, dreaming about my kingdom.
The kingdom of Quartara
~~~~~~~
I woke up with Colli shaking me.
"you over slept. You dont want to miss breakfast" Colli said.
"Okay ill come down in a minute." I told her.
I picked up Sparky and tried to remember my plans for the kingdom. When the idea popped back into my head i went down stairs, nearly tripping on one of the stairs.
I gobbled up my breakfast and picked up my sword. "Im goin out." I say.
"Im gonna come too!" Colli says while pushing in her chair.
"Im going on a walk" We were walking out the door.
"Ill walk with you!" she says.
"Please can i go alone?" I ask.
"Why cant I come?"
I sigh. "Do you PROMISE to keep a secret?"
"yes" She says.
"Cross your heart?" I ask.
"I cross my heart." She makes an imaginary cross on her heart.
"Okay follow me. Don't tell ANYONE about this place."
"I knoow. I promised." She tells me.
"You have to follow my exact route, okay?"
"okay" She seemed very curious.
I just remembered i forgot Sparky. "stay here. DO NOT move or you will get lost, or i will get lost trying to find you."
"Okay Avi"
I run as quickly to the house as i can. I Trip over a root, but i get to my feet and brush off the dirt on me.
I open the door and Sparky runs out. We head back to the place I left Colli. She was still there, relieved to see me.
I beckon her to follow and i climb up a tree. She follows along with Prince Tutsoya. I climb down the vine and she follows. When we make it to the clearing she looks in awe.
"This is MY kingdom. The kingdom of Quartara!" I say with pride. I feel relieved, to have at least One person to know my secret. I show her each part of the kingdom i created, i show artifacts of the kingdom and i tell her how i made it. I also told her to never go here alone, because IM the ruler.
We play Kingdom until the sky grows purple and the clouds get tinted with pink. We head home and i remind her one last time to keep the secret.
Our special secret...
