Now a black haired man stood over a fire and cooked the squirrel on two sticks. Handing me one, we munched quietly by the fire. The man awkwardly and glanced at me and smiled, as if saying hi. I arched my back so he'd back off. I didn't like strangers, especially human strangers! We finished our meals silently now, and I was backing away until I realized a sharp pain in my paw. Looking closely, thorns were embedded deep into my paw pad. Glancing quickly at the wolf-turned-man, I sat down and tried to pull out the thorns. Blacky inched towards me cautiously, and reached for my paw. Hissing, I pulled it away and sat under the sopping wet thorn bush.My coat was a mess, and was full of leaves and twigs, not to mention thorns. Carefully inching around thorns, II proceeded to take the leaves and twigs out, but most were caught in tangles of fur. I heard Blacky call to me in Animalia, my dialect. Our dialect. "Hey, I can help you," He cooed. "Just let me come closer." A raindrop plopped onto my head. It slowly dripped down my forehead. Shaking my fur, I whispered to the man. "How do you speak Animalia? Why aren't you a wolf anymore?" I quickly regretted it. He crawled in, and whispered back. "Because I am an animal, a of the Canian family." I bit his hand, and he hissed through clenched teeth, "I am only trying to help! You would've been dead if it wasn't for me." He crawled out of the bush and changed into the wolf Blacky. "I guess I can leave now." He pulled a small bag out of a bush, and proceeded to walk away. Suddenly I felt bad for being a bully to him. "I'm sorry. It's just I nearly DIED and I was rescued by a stranger!" He howled back to me. "Then do you want my help or not?"
