Can I get a quick question answered? :3

Hey everyone, it's Monster! <img src=" title="Very Happy"> So I have been reading a few posts on the forums and from what I can gather, there is the 1.8 temp server and a Bukkit server with separate IPs. I only knew of the Temp server. If this is truly the case, may I get the other server IP? Thanks! hoping to get this straightened out because i am confused. xD

There is no Bukkit server right now, only the temp 1.8 server.

Ah, thanks! Glad I got that answered. <img src=" title="Razz">

Hmm. Not a bad idea if this bukkit issue never gets resolved.

It looks like there are going to be replacements coming out soon.

Good to hear! I haven't been able to keep up with the fallen bukkit community or similars, however I'm glad you are. Please let us know any news.

Husk
http://enterpriseminecraft.com/husk

Sponge
http://www.spongepowered.org/

Both are currently unavailable. Husk devs claim that it may run 'some' bukkit plugins, however with DMCA they might have to avoid that.

Sponge-API is currently the most supported, with the creators of World edit/World guard being the lead developers on the project.

.
However it will not run Bukkit plugins straight out of the box, and will need to be ported to Sponge API to avoid DMCA (As of October 3rd, the Lead Dev of Sponge-API has confirmed that 400 plugin developers have confirmed they are willing to port their project to the new Sponge-API plugin system).

However it sounds as if a few plugin developers are planning to make a plugin called Pore.
Pore aims to bridge Bukkit plugins into Sponge without server owners needing to wait, or go out of there wait and develop a port for plugins to run on a Sponge API server.

http://www.reddit.com/r/spongeproject/comments/2frfaa/pore_a_bridge_for_bukkit_and_sponge/

However because these are both new projects, it is going to take awhile as they will have to build their way up from the bottom to have a server that will be able to support plugins like Bukkit used too.

Disclaimer:
As I am just using my translation of what I have seen from these sites (Which may be outdated sources), I may have left a few errors in my compressed discussion on these two Bukkit replacements I have found.

Thank you! It's great to hear there are so many people willing to make this work. Sounds like we should have a solution by the end of the year. I'd definitely be willing to port my plugins over to the sponge Api if they are first to the table.

So... Erm... I'm confused... when is the bukkit server coming out? Like when is the other server coming back? Sorry if that sounded really stupid, but please have pity upon me x3
