More apps on the iPhone because it's an older, more widely used OS.

Yes, it is the best platform to develop on because of the mass amount of people that use them. People don't understand, its not about "liking" the phone or OS, it's about how many people you want to market to. I don't think anyone would want to spend forever creating software, then making it only available to a select few... Another reason why windows is still on the market.

I agree with Mcman, iPhones are pretty, user friendly (really easy to use) may not have all free apps or not the best processing power, but I say it's good enough for me!
Respect existence or expect resistance

I don't know about you guys, but last time I used an apple OS I was pretty sure it was trying to bug me. Maybe that's just me.

This is also why most computer stuff mainly markets to windows. Why market to Linux, or Mac, when most people use windows 7 or 8.

all im saying is i saw my sister furiously try to break her android phone by throwing it at the ground repeatedly. she eventually managed to shatter the front glass after the second time she threw it against a tree (the first time did nothing) and not only that but she just put tape over the screen to hold the glass in. still worked fine. only the outer shell broke. but then i have seen people drop their iphone off their lap and shatter the screen, and it messed up the inner workings of the phone so that a black cloudy thing covered bits of the screen. it was nearly totally destroyed just by falling 3 feet. and the phone my sister had wasnt even one of the types of androids that are marketed to be damage resistant.

I know android uses java but I'm sure it can also run certain variants of c

You are correct. iOS used to use objective C, which you can still use, however its a nightmare. Objective C is about the worst language ever created.

I have to agree with you on that. I use bash/shell, python, and java, but nothing has been more mind boggling than objective c. Better of learning something like c++ or c
