God Items
#1
A few months ago Mcmanaway1 discovered his ability to glitch out TMI and give himself god items beyond vanilla (Potions with speed 6, Bows with power 10 etc). I was bored so I played around with this a bit with god speed and jump above normal capability's, had a blast. I realized that this was wrong but I thought what's the harm?

Today I witnessed something disturbing in BK's inventory. A diamond pickaxe with 10 unbreaking and 10 efficiency, Bold named and with lore. I asked him were he got it and he said it appeared out of nowhere in his inventory when he logged on. I questioned him and Mcmanaway1 cracked saying that he found a way to glitch the TMI, then BK admitted he bought some chests off of Mcmanaway1.

My thoughts about this were, "If Bk got a god item off of Mcmanaway1 now then how many of these things are there?"

I think we should really crack down on god items. Remove them using any means possible. I in fact thought of a few ideas.

1. Remove the ability to spawn enchanting books (Ya did it with diamonds blocks)
2. Do random searches of peoples homes and remove god items if they don't comply.
3. Have the server scan for modified clients.

Either way I think that god items should be outlawed. They provide an unfair advantage in PVP.

No way to stop spawning the books. They can be taken from the creative menu either way. Although, having items with 10 efficiency, and all that is not ok. Also, BK lying about it. He knew he would get in trouble if he told the truth.

1. Me and BK were pvping after I was mining in the nether last month, he may have gotten that during that time period, I have gotten the thing back after this event.
2. Empty Chest, He bought them to store clay he is mining in the Mesa Biome, it wasn't with stored items. It was empty chests, they did not have items in them.
3. You can't spawn Enchanted book, you can gain them from Creative Inv.
4. Bold Names and Lore have been added into the game in 1.7 so that isn't make of a problem

woah woah woah there

I bought chests off Mcman yeah. Chests. Not chestplates. I needed them for the mesa, mining and all.
Here they are, if you dont buy it:

So lets not bring that into this.

Now, as for the pick. I really didn't know it was not only possible, but that Mcman had it until I killed him in the nether a while back. Saying it was just some armour and tools (and a shizload of netherrack) I threw it in my dump chests without really looking at it. Then server went temp and all and I completely forgot about the stuff, finding it yesterday. After todays event it has been given back to Mcman, who, I believe, destroyed the damn thing.
