"'Hi there avi!" Ahri says as the walks into the room. "Hello ahri!" avi replies "I think my wings are starting to grow!!!" Avi feels her shoulder blades "Im glad! i will see if i can help you for your first flight when the time comes." Ahri smiles in a caring way. "Yaaaay! thank you ahri!" Avi jumps onto ahri's back and sits on her head "Vroooommm, vrooooommm! im flying ahri im flying!" Ahri runs, and holds avi in place with one of her many tails while avi giggles ecstatically "Thank you ahri! that was so fun!" Avi hugs ahri "Your welcome little bird." she replies and hugs avi with all nine of her tails involved. avi loved it when ahri hugged her, it made her feel safe and warm Colli walks into the room, attracted by the noise. "Whats going on in here guys?" she inquires "Ahri let me fly colli! it was so fun!!" Avi replies while giggling. "That is great avi! i cant wait to see your wings." Colli beamed and ruffled avi's hair "Thank you colli! i think im going to go play with ella now, okay?" Avi skipped off to play with ella "Ahri?" Colli asked "Could you teach me a few things with magic please? you seem to be great at it yourself!" Ahri looked at colli and said "What do you need help with colli?" "Well, i love to study magic but i cant seem to cast it very well.." Colli looked sad Ahri thought for a moment and replied "Do you feel that warmth inside of your body? its strongest in your heart, but it flows through your whole body. concentrate really hard until you think you can feel it" Colli closed her eyes and her brows furrowed as she tried to feel the energy. suddenly her face lit up and she said "I can feel it ahri, what is that?" she asked "That is your mana colli, the source of all magic. concentrate harder, try to channel the energy" Colli's brows creased in more concentration after a few seconds her face stopped all signs of pressure. it suddenly looked effortless, and an aura of magic flowed around her. "Whooaoh! ahri! im doing MAGIC! Holy. cow." Ahri smiled "You seem to have gotten a grip on your mana, advanced mages always have this aura" Colli looked suprised "Really? this doesnt seem that hard..." Ahri smiled wider "It means you have great talent colli, i guess it is my job to refine that talent! you shall be my student, i will teach you magic." Ahri looked triumphant. "Wow!! Really ahri?!? you will do that for me? THANK. YOU!" Colli ran over and hugged ahri. "You sould go rest alittle, and practice your aura a bit more. the more you practice, the more effortless it becomes. you are advancing fast, you sould be able to keep the aura nonstop soon" Colli beamed with happiness, and said "See you later ahri!!" and skipped away happily, not unlike the way avi did. Ahri sighed contently and went out to go get some liver to eat with a smile. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV
The blue in the sky fades to orange a pink. "Ahri I'm going outside!" I shout "Okay! Dont go too far" She shouts back. I open up the door and I sit on the small hill. "When will my wings grow?" I mutter to myself. The last ray of sunshine disappears and the sky grows purple. I get up and brush the snow off me. I open up the door and come to the table for dinner. "What are we having for dinner?" Colli asks. "Pork and water" Ahri says while cooking the pork. She puts the food in front of us and we begin to eat. I mess around with the food a little then eat. I yawn and throw away the leftover food. I plop down on the couch to watch TV for a few minutes before I go to bed. I fall asleep on the couch snoring softly. Ahri brings me to my room and tucks me in. She switches off the TV and heads to her room. I wake up, and notice it is still dark. I tiptoe outside of my room and walk downstairs. I look at the clock to find out its 10:00 PM. I tiptoe back into my room and try to sleep. I couldn't fall asleep so I looked at the books I had in my room. "I have read ALL of these" I thought. I sneak into Ella and Colli's room and look at their books. I grab one that has to do with magic.I read until I get drowsy so I put the book back. I fall asleep once more. I wake up. It's STILL dark. I peek at the clock, it's 11:53 Pm. I Try and try to fall asleep but I just couldn't. In fact I wasn't tired at all. I walked into Ahri's room to tell her I couldnt sleep. I walk up to her bed and whisper "Ahri! Ahri!!" I nudge and poke her. It's like she can't feel me at all! I try to wake up anyone in the house, no luck. I think for a moment. "Am I a ghost? Did I die in my sleep?" I try falling down the stairs. I DO get hurt. "Not a ghost." I say. Another thought pops into my head. "DId time stop and IM the only one who is able to stop it?" I look at The clock again. Nope. It still moves. I look down sadly. Then I notice something. I'm somewhat transparent. "What?!" I think. I walk into my room again. Then I see me, but not transparent. I try to find a boom that might help, but for some reason I can't pick it up. It's not heavy. I just... Can't pick it up. I can't interact with anything. I go to the front door. Yep. I can't interact with anything. I look through the window. I see a figure. I begin to panic. "A stranger is coming to our house and I cants stop it!" Then the figure comes closer. I blink in surprise. It's another of my kind AND it's somewhat transparent like me! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COLI'S POV
I wake up in the morning, right at the crack of dawn. Pink is leaking into the sky and clouds so I rush towards the door. No one would see me anyway. as I sneak past Avi's room, I hear a moan. It sounded low. Quiet. Pained. Inching open the door, I tiptoe in with my ears erect and alert. My gold eyes search out Avi, laying soundless in her bed. Creepin forward to her, she has purple bruises on her face and arms. Gasping, I grab some makeshift bandages, pages out of a book. I hope they aren't important. Avi is mumbling incomprehensibly. trying to make sense of what is going on, I say, "It'll be alright Avi. Pretend this is an adventure! I'll be back soon." After about half an hour I'm back with some slightly stale bread to feed Avi. she has a big scar running down her shoulder blade. accidently dropping the bread, I fumble with it half scared to death. blood sinks into the nearby feathers and skin. Taking off pages from the bruises, I pile them onto the wound. "I wish Ahri was here, she knows EVERYTHING about healing!" Sighing, I get clean bread while munching on the stale bread. I then realize several minutes later that I can wake Ahri up. Dashing to her room, I prod her in the eyes and say, "AHRIIIII! Avi needs medicel attenshun!" Ahri's eyes open wide, but are glazed with drowsiness. she stands up and falters, but I can tell she thinks Avi just "bruised a knee." Looking at her worriedly I say, "It's serious." Of course, like all other people- or creatures- she thinks I am exaggerating about it being serious. Tugging on her arm, I pull her to Avi's dark room. My skin is pale and I'm sweating hard. Ahri senses this and walks without the tug on her arm. "is there blood, hon?" I nod slowly, scared. "Now Colli, how did it happen? It's 4:00 in the morning." Shaking my head, I whisper, "It appeared out of nowhere. she moaned and mumbled and... I'm so worried!" Ahri opens the door, and strides into the darkness towards the candle by Avi's bed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV The strange figure walks closer. I realize we left a window open and he squeezes through. I realize I'm shivering, then I fluff up my feathers to try and show I'm not scared. "You must be Avi" He assumes. His voice was strong and loud. He had a bold appearance. His feathers were shades of browns and grays. His ambers eyes seemed as if he could read my thoughts. I nod. "An-And who are YOU?" I say trying not to sound scared. "I am Talon. As you can see, I am one like you." He says. He seems to read my mind. "You are in The Spirit Land" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AHRI'S POV
I see how serious her wounds are and i call my orb to my side. when it gets here, i walk over to avi and watch her looking intent at the window and talking to herself. "Avi? are you alright?" what a stupid question. its not like she has serious wounds all over her body! i begin the process to heal avi's wounds. my orb glows a green color, not like the color when i am stealing souls, a softer, more reassuring color. her wounds begin to close when she gets a shocked expression on her face, wherever her mind was, it was not here. i wondered what she could be doing in her own little world... I leave her in her bed when the wounds finish healing and start talking with colli. "How do you think it happened?" i asked "I dont know, i just heard a low moan while i was passing her room and went to check on her" Colli replied. "Very strange indeed, we may have to ask her when she is out of that trance" i said "Ahri? would yo mind giving me some more magic lessons? it might help calm me down." "It might calm me down too, i think ill do it." while we were downstairs, i think we woke somebody up because we heard footsteps coming down. "I wonder who that could be..." Colli said. "I dont know, it sounds like two pairs of feet, one of them are male, one female" i replied, alert. "How can you tell?" Colli asked, astonished at my amazing hearing "Its quite easy to distinguish if you think about it, male footsteps are more clunky and loud. while females are more cautious or considerate." i said back. when they got here we saw it was Emma and a very attractive boy. me and colli's stances changed at the same time, to more flirtatious. foxes are known for their flirtatiousness. we exchanged looks and our fox minds told us we were both thinking the same thing. i subtly jerked me head twords him. "Ahri, Colli, we have a new guest in the house. This is Mason" she gestured to the boy "Its nice to meet you" i said in a seductive voice as i stepped twords them "I hope we can get to know each-other better" and i gave an indicative smile. Colli smiled at Mason and winked, in a more subtle but noticeable way. this house has never been so fun ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV
Talon continued to tell me about the Spirit Land. "So is it only us two?" I wonder. "No. there are some others." He replies. "Why have you come to me though? I'm sure you didn't come here to chat." I ask. "This "family" of yours... You cannot trust them" He begins "Wha-?" I begin to say when we interrupts. "They are using, well are going to use you. The don't really care for you." He continues to tell lies. Im not sure if I should believe him or not. "You have two choices. You stay with your so called family, or you can join my side, and stop them. Your choice" He tells me. I blink. What? Should I believe him? Talon, someone I JUST met. In a strange land like this! I won't believe him. "I am staying with my family! They were always at my side!" I shout at him. "I don't believe you!" "Wrong choice" He growls. He lunges forward and slashes my shoulder. Everything goes black for about 4 seconds. Then I open my eyes And blink twice. Ahri notices the mumbles have stopped. "She's back!" She shouts. Back? I wonder. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ STILL AVI'S POV
At first everything was blurry. But then my vision returned to normal. Colli rushes forward. "Avi! Where we're you?! we were so worried! Are you sick? What Happened?" She asks. She sure was curious. "Colli don't overwhelm her. I think she has been through enough for one day." Ahri says while gesturing towards my wounds. Realizing how much I hurt I grab my arm. It really hurt. "I think she should rest" Colli says. "No.. I want to stay up. WH-what have I missed?" I say while wincing in pain. "You missed nothing but us panicking." Colli replies. I could see the others upstairs glancing at me. ... ... It seems as if there was nothing to talk about. the only thing we could talk about is what happened. "How about you read one of your books. and if you need anything call me!" She was about to walk off until I called out "But Ahri! I read all of my books. And I looked at the pictures. The only books I haven't read are in Colli's room." "Then watch the TV." She calls back "But-" I clamp my my teeth together when I feel pain shoot up my arm once more. "But why can't I read Colli's books?" I ask Ahri. "Just watch the TV!" Colli shouted. "Why can't I read her books?" I grumble. I sit down on the couch and I pull a pillow under my head. I switch on the TV only to find baby cartoons and stuff like that.I turn it off and I stare at the ceiling. Will this wound affect the growth of my wings? Just the thought of that made me sweat. I cross my legs and grab the boom next to me. It was a big chapter boom. I bet I can read this! I start to read. I close the book. No I didn't finish it! But I learned plenty of new words. I turn to my side and take a nap. I wake up at the sound of Ahri yelling "Dinner is ready!" She calls. I stretch, yawn, and get to me feet. "Comin'!" I tell Ahri. I eat a meal of steak, carrots, and milk. I got cookies as a treat too. I could pretty much sense their worry. They think I will change because of that visit. You know what? I will ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
It was cold. So cold outside. My soft pink feet patted against the snow, my fluffy white ears shivering. I was small. Very small. Why? Because now I was a bunny. That was one of my forms...bunny form. I had four of them: human, bunny, and two other form that no one but me knew about.
Upon my shivering and stumbling, I came across a large house. At least there was a few lanterns in the front. The doorstep wasn't too snowy, so I huddled up next to the door and tried to sleep. Tucking my ears, I drifted off, my whole body shaking and accumulating ice. Suddenly, the door opened. I had been leaning against the door, so I fell in, little white paws grasping the floor, searching for something, anything to steady myself on. Unfortunately, there was nothing to steady myself, so my padded pink paws clambered at nothing.
My big innocent eyes looked up. A pretty girl with pointed ears and foxlike facial features looked down at me. She smiled and her gaze softened, but something about her frazzled hair and wild eyes told me that something was wrong, very wrong. She scooped me into her arms and ran upstairs. I heard her murmur, "You poor thing. You'll be my new pet bunny." I was met by chaos. There was a girl with feathers and a beak bleeding all over the floor. Another fox girl was trying to wake up the bird-girl. The first fox girl set me on the windowsill, and bundled me in a warm towel. She ran to the bird girl's aid.
The bird girl was twitching and talking in her slumber. Something about spirits and stuff. The first wolf girl screamed out "Colli!" To the other wolf girl. I guess her name was Colli. Colli responded quickly with catlike sounds and words that I assumed to be some sort of fox language. I later discovered she was just mumbling pretty quickly. Stress and tension draped the room like a thick black curtain. The bird girl was regaining consciousness. Her limbs flailed and her feathers stood on end. She began twitching and jerking.
Finally her eyes fluttered open and her body stopped moving. The calm after the storm. She sat up, running her eyes over her wounds. Everything about her facial features had a haunted look. She opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. She had the look of a drowning animal, wide-eyed, pale-faced, dry-throated appearance.
"T-T-Talon..." She stammered.
Then she passed out again. I knew she wouldn't remember any of that...but no matter. She awoke and began watching TV...
I sat with her. She fell asleep again, her two long fingers petting the star-shape on my back. My fluffy ears flattened as I began to feel a warm, pooling sensation in my stomach. Suddenly a blast of comfortable heat rose up in me. My eyes squeezed shut. I began to transform.
A blinding flash of white, and I exploded into a girl form. I was a teenager, with black, curly hair. My skin glowed a pale alabaster white. Often confused for a vampire, since my eyes were a dark red shade. It was only natural. A lot of bunnies had a reddish tint to their eyes. So I wore blue contacts, making my eyes purple.
I sat there on the couch, in human form, with a hint of cute bunny-esque-ness. The first fox girl came in, shocked to see me.
"Who are you?!"
I smiled. "I'm Alice, and I'm your new pet bunny." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3RD PERSON Ahri was taking a walk in the woods one day when she heard... music. A song... a sweet wonderful song. Ahri froze. A girl with copper hair, and big greens eyes walked in front of her. She looked around 15, but there was a look deep in this girl's eyes that told he she was much older. She was singing. Singing something in a different language. This girl was powerful. Magical. Enchanted. Her voice was like numbing medicine. Ahri tried to speak, but couldn't. The girl stopped singing, and looked at Ahri. Ahri slowly became more aware of everything. "Who.. Who are you?" Ahri managed to say. "Purity," the girl said, "I am cleanness, clearness, clarity, freshness; sterility, healthiness, safety. I'm virtue, morality, goodness, righteousness, saintliness, piety, honor, honesty, integrity, decency, ethicality, impeccability; innocence, chastity. But I prefer to just be called Purity." Ahri stood there, dumbfounded. "I'm lost. I'm not wanted, or needed anywhere." Purity said. "I... I can help you" Ahri said. "You can live with me. I live in a big home, with other people who are... different." Ahri said, feeling confident. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV
This bunny, or half bunny, is now Colli's pet. If came a few minutes ago. I want to know more about Alice. "Bedtime!" Ahri called out. "But where will Alice stay?" I ask. "We'll figure it out. just go to bed." I walked up the stairs and opened the door to my room. I could feel Ahri's concerned gaze. She thinks it might happen again. I know tomorrow will be filled with questions. I squeeze my eyes shut and drifted off to sleep. I wake up seeing a bandage over my injured arm. I smile.
Ahri is so caring
I open the door and shut it with my foot. I walk down the stairs to see everyone at the table.
they didn't wake me up! I oversplept! well. I suppose they didn't want me to be tired. And it's not like I have school. Better prepare myself for the questions.
I sit down, prepared for the questions. "What was going on when I first came here?" Alice wonders. "Well. It was sorta like she fainted" Ahri answers. Everyone turned to me. Sighing, I say "Well it started when I woke up for the second time. I was going to tell you, Ahri, that I couldn't sleep. But it was like she couldn't hear or see me. I couldn't interact with anything either. I noticed that I was somewhat transparent. I looked out the window to see another of my kind, also transparent. His name was Talon and he told me what was going on. I was in a Land called the Spirit Land. He told me that no one would see me, hear me, or feel me. He also told me that if I get hurt in that land I get hurt in real life." I gesture to my bruises. the wanted to hear more. "I got these bruises because I thought I was a ghost so I jumped down the stairs." I heard Colli giggle so I glared at her. "Talon told me that I couldn't trust you all. That you were using me and you never cared for me. he gave me the choice of staying with you or joining his side, and stopping you. I told him I wanted to stay with you all. he attacked me for making the "wrong choice". Oh. also he told me I can't control my visits to the Dream Land. they just happen."
they all looked bewildered. I sigh. "Can we just eat?" I ask. "Okay" Ahri tells me. "Something's bugging you. Besides all of that stuff that's happening. what is it?" Ahri asks. "Well. besides the fact it hurts, this scar." "What about the scar?" "I think it might affect the growth of my wings" I tell her. Her gaze softens and she smiles. "No it won't. And when you do grow wings. You will be the best flyer." she promises me. Put in a good mood I leave the table and I decide to chat with Alice ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AHRI'S POV We all sat by the fire, we decided to play cards, because we all LOVED to play uno when there was nothing else to do. "We have been getting alot of new guests!" I Say to emma. "First Mason and James," I gestured to Mason, who i was siting next to "And then alice, and purity," i gestured to them. "And now Repaire! will it ever stop? we will run out of room soon..." "It just means our family of outcasts is getting bigger!" Emma replied "i guess you are right, they fit right in!" i looked at robby next to me "Some seem to fit in more than others" I said in a flirtatious voice to him. to play with him, i unbuttoned his shirt when he wasnt looking "H-Hey! what are you doing ahri!" Mason said furiously blushing. I giggled "Some fox girls just want to have fun" i replied and nodded my head twords colli and chris sitting next to eachother. Colli gave me a sly wink and dropped her cards in front of james, just so she could bend over and pick them up in front of him "Uno!" Alice bursted out in her adorable voice "Hey! give US a chance to win will ya?" Purity replied, managing to make her voice sound beautiful even when she was angry. Emma laughed you have won three times alice! cool it" emma said with a smile. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COLI'S POV
Still munching on a cold slab of pork, I think about what happened. My pet bunny turned into a girl. My teeth feel as though they are ripping out, this pork is so hard. "Ahri, next time cook the food." I complain. Ahri looks at me sternly. "The house would burn down if I started a fire. This place doesn't a working furnace, Colli." Staring at my feet, I stride up the stairs to my shared room with (Purity?). My ears twitch and shiver in a gust of cold wind coming from a broken window. Grabbing some mud, I seal the window only to make it look odd. Sneaking to my chest of things, I take out my slightly worn book. My diary, I think. Reading over the last time I wrote, I now write about Avi and what she said, and Alice my pet bunny. Quivering, I start to write it out with a small feather dabbed in some ink. "Dear Aurora-" I am interupted as Avi calls to me. "Ask Ahri if I can go outside, Colli!" Stashing my secret treasure, I dash to AVi. "You know what she'll say. 'No, you're too wounded.' Then you'll say, "Oh, I'm fine!" Those words sting me; why was I so mean? Avi looks disappointed but I quickly walk away, guilt churning inside me. I grab one of my old magic books that Ahri gave to me. "Spells and Shape-shifting". Flipping over to a spell, instead of snap-shifting as Ahri forbid me to do, I read what it does. "'Guiding Light Spell: Light your path'". So I start to practice sensing my aura, whatever it was Ahri told me. Concentrating on 'light', I hold my hands out in a small cup. Magical sparks flickered there, but never grew big enough for light. Trying again and again, I get frustrated. "I tried this 50 times in a minute! Why won't it work?!" Panting and seething with angry, I stomp and glance at the book. Step 5: Stay calm. Oops. Calming myself down quickly, I try again. "WOW! I made a light!" A small orb of light hovered above my cupped hands. I run out to tell Ahri. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AHRI'S POV
"Ahri!!! Ahri!!!!!" I Hear colli yell exitedly "I did it!!! I DID MAGIC!!!!!" I looked amazed as she came into the room, she has only been practicing for a month! so much talent... "That is AMAZING! im so happy for you!" I beamed at the orb of light she had in her hands "But its really hard to keep it up this way, how do you do it so effortlessly?" She asked hopefully "Well, there are ways to do magic easier, like for example! scince it is hard to channel magic with just your hands, you could transfer the magic into an item." i told her "An item?" She said confused "Yes, an item. such as a staff, wand, or baton. or of you wish, an orb" I smiled and played with my orb, bouncing it with my nine tails. "Ohhh! that explains alot! one time i saw a girl using light magic, she channeled it with a baton!" I smiled, because i knew exactly who she was talking about. "Luxanna Crownguard, she is quite famous isnt she? it does make sense, considering how powerfull she is." I stopped myself before i started to babble. "But anyway, a magic item can be almost anything! i have seen fans, and even a giant book! i have even seen a man named Ryze, he brought back an old type of magic. he tattooed his body with runes, turning his body into a arcane powerhouse! he is quite a nice man, i sould take you to see him sometime... but anyway, magic can come from a million places, it jsut depends on what suits you the best!" Colli listened to every word i said intently. "How come it doesnt say that in any of my books ahri?" She inquired "Because most of the magic schools you learned from are very simple minded. they teach you the basics of magic, but nothing too exiting like elements, or supportive magic... they just make you a simple mage. nothing special or unique." Colli thought that over for a minute. "What is one of the strangest things you have seen in the magical world ahri?" She asked shyly. i thought about that for a minute, the magic world isnt exactly normal... "Probably a girl named Annie. She was the daughter of a powerful warlock, and an almost as powerful witch! she uses fire magic" Colli's face lit up when i said fire " She has LIMITLESS talent and potential, probably more than even you! she used magic to subdue an alpha shadow bear when she was 3, and she trapped its spirit in her teddy bear which she named tibbers. when she needs him, she can summon tibbers to fight with her. she is only about 6, yet she is more powerful than most of the people i have seen! her only weakness is her range... she has very short range, but she can use that against most people who fight close range." Colli was amazed at all of the stories i had to tell her. "Wowww ahri, you have so many stories to tell! i want to learn to be powerful like one of thoose people you mentioned! wow!" Colli was practically bouncing with exitement. "Okay, i think i have a spell i can teach you. it may suit you very well, and it is one of my favorites! it is called Fox-Fire. it summons three flames that circle around you and hit the nearest enemies." Colli was suprised, she was actually going to be learning a spell, she thought it was going to be all channeling magic energy and stuff. "Here, let me demonstrate" I twirled and three blue flames appeared and started orbiting around me. Colli stared at them in disbelief "Colli, raise your aura and come closer" So she did and when she got close enough, the fires chased after her, she looked scared and put her hands in front of her face. but the fire didnt hit her, she raised a shield unintentionally, and it protected her. "Wha-whaaat?" Colli looked confused "Arent i supposed to be burning right now?" she looked confused "that is just a sign, you have learned a new spell colli! you can put a spell shield up around you or your allies." I Smiled at colli, and at the progress she was making. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE'S POV
was in my room, reading an old book. I heard excited squeals from Coli. Smiling, I glance outside my window. I saw a... a PERSON out there. A very familiar person... I glide down the stair case, and dash out the door. "Pure?" Alice calls. I peek behind me, to see Alice standing there, confused. "Hey Alice. I thought I saw a friend from the past standing outside. I was going to check if anyone was there. I won't be long." I said. "Ok..." Alice said, warily. "Everything is fine. This person is nice. Very nice." I say, smiling. I walk Alice back inside. I jog out to where I thought I saw the person, while I hum a song. "Purity. We have been waiting for you." a deep voice whispered. I whip around to see a tall man with black hair and blue eyes. He hoist me over his shoulder. I burst into a fit of laugher as he spins around. "Puuuurreeee!!! Did I scare ya'? he asks. He puts me down. "Not a bit," I giggled, poking him in the shoulder. "I missed you!" he said. "I miss you MORE, Chives!" I said. Chives was my older brother, and my best friend. I haven't seen him since I met Ahri. I grab his arm, and drag him to the house. "I want you to meet my new family." I proclaim. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
After the last time I won at UNO, I saw Purity utside through the window. I went outside to talk to her, but she said she was looking for a friend so I walked sulkily back inside.
Everyone was still playing UNO by the time I started getting drowsy. My black curly hair was still in its black, pigtailed ringlets, complete with Hello Kitty bows. I was sitting next to Robby, after winning nine consecutive games. I yawned, slightly pointy canines biting over my lower lip in a tired smile.
Ahri was unbuttoning Mason's shirt. I wrinkled my nose and scowled.
"Ahri. Stop that. This is not the right time or place for you to flirt." I scowled.
Ahri just laughed at me. She called me cute and poked my button nose. My scowl deepened. But it relaxed quickly, because I knew how to make her stop.
Yawning as cutely as I could, I glanced at Ahri, who was trying to put on the most seductive foxface she could for Mason. I began removing my headscarf that was containing my bunny ears. As soon as the pink scarf came off, my pure white bunny ears popped up, but because of sheer exhaustion, they folded back. Looking up at Mason with my bunny ears descending onto my head, I said:
"I'm tired." With something as simple as that, I put on a cute face, stretched out my arms, and laid my cards on the floor. I curled up and set my head in Mason's lap, falling asleep. I tapped a spot on my neck and the back of my ear, where there were two birthmarks in the shape of constellations. I was motioning for him to pet me there, and he dimly obliged. I smiled happily and relaxed...I calmed down when someone petted me in those two spots. It was kind of animalistic, how I was calm after that. The last thing I saw before drifting into dreamland victoriously was Ahri's flaming angry face, glaring at me for stealing him away.
Unfortunately, I was already sleeping by the time she tried to get me off of him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

AVI'S POV
I yawn and walk upstairs. I grab the book I read on the night I met Talon. the one about magic. "Hmm. I want to try this. But how will I explain how I knew how to do magic? I can't tell them I took Colli's book. I'll just practice in my room." I study the pages carefully. I choose a beginners spell. I pull out my rose, it isn't in bloom, so this is perfect for doing magic." I concentrate hard. I began to feel the magic. then it stopped. I had tried many times before I got it. after the 6th time. The plant began to glow a lime green, then it bloomed. the glow faded away. I was so proud. If only I could show them all. I rush the book back into Colli's room. It was pretty much bedtime. So I grabbed my teddy bear and fell asleep. I woke up. In the dark. I squeeze my eyes shut hoping I'm not in the Spirit Land. I look at my hands. I was."Oh no oh no oh no...." I whisper. I tiptoe out of my room. "Why don't I ever remember to shut my door?" I mutter. The window downstairs was still open. I stare at it. Should I? I'll do it. I dont want to wait for Talon to come back. I climb through the window and fall into the grass. I get to my feet and walk to the small hill. I see a figure on the top of it. "oH no.." I whisper. I was about to turn back, but something made me get closer. I wasn't getting controlled, I was just drawn to it. seeing it closer, I notice it's not Talon. "It's another one from the spirit land!" I gasp. It was a beautiful creamy colored bird. "I've been waiting for you" she tells me. She sounded beautiful. But not as beautiful as Purity. "you have?" "Talon is not to trust." "I think I know that." "He is a threat to you. he will attack you, or even possess or corrupt you." "possess?" "to control you" I wake up the next morning. that was quick. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COLI'S POV
Ahri, finally calm now, decided that everyone had to go to bed. Carrying Alice, well, DRAGGING Alice, I put her on the floor next to her bed. "Close enough." I mutter. Quietly opening and closing the door, I sneak off to the kitchen for a snack. Ahri manages to find me. "What are you doing, Colli? It's bedtime!" Trying to disappear, I whimper and muster the best cute eyes I can. Hoping I look innocent, I say angelically, "I wanted a snack to take into bed with me." Maybe I should've said water. "We don't have spare food Colli. You KNOW that." Feeling ashamed, I try to think of another excuse. "Oh, I uh wanted to show you something!" I say quickly. Raising an eyebrow, she says "Oh?" Remembering each step of the process, I complete the Guiding Light spell. Twirling it on my finger, I feel happy now. Ahri looks surprised and proud! "I learned it from my book!" Talking so confidently, I try to inch towards the stairs. Seeing me moving away, she hustles me to my room/Purity's. It is completely dark, and the blotch of mud in the broken window looks horrible. I crouch on my un-needed bunk bed. At the top bunk, I shiver under the thin, wool covers as though they are sheets of ice. Throwing the blanket on the ground, I spy my bookcase filled to the brim with colorful stories. Thinking about that made me hungry for a good book. Sliding down the ladder, I reach for a book-and then pull away my hand. Suddenly I don't feel like reading. I feel like watching the glowing white fireflies outside, and trying to find a constellation. Stepping towards the mud-filled window, I push out the oozy brown stain. Plop! It falls onto the ground in the cool night. Gazing out as close as I dare to the dangerous glass shards, I pick out a few bright stars directly on the horizon. Tracing them together, they form a paw shape. "The Paw Stars...: I murmur. I feel elated that I discovered a constellation, and jot down where it is on a stray paper. 'Paw Stars: East horizon on-' I think. Looking at how bright it is, I guess it's a full moon. 'Paw Stars: East horizon on the full moon.' Drawing out how they look in the sky, I include a slight glow to them. Putting the notes wedged between a ladder rung, I plop onto the bed, now grateful for the icy sheets. At least they are something. Soon I drift into sleep, only to be awakened by a howling gale. Covering my head, I fall asleep again, awakening into a seemingly perfect world. I wake up in the house, smelling pork cooking. Mmm! Rushing downstairs, though, I don't see Ahri or Avi or Emma, not even Alice or Purity. They are fox people. Just like me. some sit at a table, others play in a once empty pool. Some have amber ears and tails, some have bright scarlet fur. Gasping, I see an older vixen that looks just like me. "M-mom?" Gazing right back, it is her. My mother ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ JAMES' POV
It was a cool morning, not to cold, the cold that makes you want to run around in circles, I was being a fox, searching for more rabbits again. Rabbits are all I seem to eat these days, I'd eat other things but there don't seem to be any other animals... Walking through the forest I find a well worn path, "Animals made this maybe?" I thought to myself as started to wonder how this was made. Wandering along the path I reached a clearing with luscious green grass with a hill under a house (Yeah I think a little backward) a girl with a bunny that was hoping around we're just out side the house. "FOOD!" I thought to myself, "And it's not one of those scrawny starved rabbits either..." As I got closer to te brake in cover I formulated a plan, "So I run in and take the girls rabbit then run of with it in my jaws.." I reached the end I the cover, now or never. I tense, then sprint as fast as I possibly can, I was just about to grab the delicious rabbit when BAM, all I can see white, I briefly open my eyes enough to see the girl holding a light orb, "What!? She was a Mage?! Argh, why didn't I think that through!" I concentrate my magic and think "Bear, bear, bear, become a bear!" I start increasing in size, my paws become large, my teeth grow sharp an long. I open my eyes to see the girl frozen in fright, I stare t the bunny, I can't wait for my next dinner, I haven't had one for five days! I feel myself become weaker with the new to keep my magic flowing into this form,Better finish this now. Then suddenly the rabbit also increases in size turning half human! "Were you really going to try to eat me?..." says the bunny girl "Colli," she says to the other girl, "Fetch ahri, quick!" The girl runs of, proud of saving her friend but worried at not finishing the job "I don't know who you are but you're not a bear or a fox, you're an animagus." How did she know what I am?! This girl obviously is very intelligent with magic, obviously considering she too can transform. I can feel the strain of keeping my bear form up, I'm about to swipe my paw with claws extended, a fateful blow, when out of no where, she smacks my snout. That's it, my form couldn't hold any longer, I slowly shrink back to human, a young male with black hair and blue eyes and a long scar along my left hand. I pass out as a lady with nine tails, presumably ahri, opens the door and runs out to help bunny girl.
I wake up with a thud as I land on a hard wood floor, landing on my broken left arm and giving off a loud shriek. "Suck it up." says ahri, obviously enraged at the fact I attacked one of her.. Friends? I can't be sure, for all I know they're cousins. "Who are you?" asks bunny girl "None of your business!" I grunt back in return, Suddenly my hand is ablaze, then back to normal but withered burn marks "You attack one of my family and then waltz in here and say that, SPEAK WITH RESPECT!" she yells shortly before slapping me. I can feel my sore red cheek throbbing. A girl walks up from the side of an older boy to ahri and puts her hand on her shoulder humming a tune, ahri instantly loses her anger and everyone but me seems to put on a smile.. Weird. "Fine," I reply, "My name is James, I have no family currently and not do I remember having one. As your bunny friend figured out I'm an animagus." "My name is Alice" says bunny girl. "You look tired," inclined Ahri, "Maybe a nap?" she points her finger at me and instantly I'm asleep. I wake up at the bottom of the hill at midnight, to weak to move. "This is it isn't it?" I think to myself, "All those years surviving by myself and ending up dying at the bottom of a hill? Pathetic." I'm too weak to move and pass out again, the sun is a couple meters higher than the horizon. I pass out again and see that te in is lower than before, must have been our for a day at least.
Dear god I hope that family pities me... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
It was the next morning, and it was rainy. I pouted. I hated rain. I slipped out of bed, no longer enjoying its comfort, and started my day. I showered, brushed my teeth, dressed, and went downstairs.
It was early. Too early for anyone to be up. Bunnies always wake up early. The next ones up would be Ahri, Colli, and maybe that James guy, since they were all foxes, you know?
Nose wiggling, I began munching on some broccoli. Ew, it was squishy. Why was it squishy? In the semi-darkness, I looked down at it to realize it was a brussel sprout. NO.
Spitting it out, I rummaged for more food, rifling through the bottom drawer of the fridge while still standing up, leaving me in an uncomfortable position with my legs straight and my face pressed against the glass of the other drawer. Naturally when I heard someone's voice, I jumped. But unfortunately, my odd position caused me to slam my head on the shelf above me when I jumped. How pathetic.
Turning around, I saw it was that James guy. I scowled and slapped him.
"You tried to eat me."
"And you hold a grudge." He responded simply. Sass to ME? Mm, not going to happen.
I slapped him again, to put him in his place. I guess he was sort of cute in human form. Not going to be let off the hook, since he wasn't my type. But still cute overall.
Glaring to hide this realization, I said, "so what are you, some kind of shapeshifter or something?"
"Yeah, sort of."
"I'm not." I smiled happily, to throw him off.
Confusion crossed his face. "What?"
"Other shape shifters have infinite forms. I only have four."
"And what are they, if you don't mind me asking?"
"I do mind you asking." I said, as-a-matter-of-factly. This was probably funny to watch. He was trying to be all polite but I was shooting him down every time. I wondered if he had the ability to turn into any animal. Ahri and Colli would develop a crush on him because he could turn into a fox. Avi was too young, but she'd find him "nice" because he could turn into a bird. Me...well, I knew he'd never become more than my friend. I doubted he could turn into a cute bunny. Probably one of those jackrabbits, all skinny and long-legged. Ew!
And in case you were wondering, my type of bunny shapeshifting guy is white cottontail. Cute like me.
And he left. Because I was too mean. I cheered a silent cheer of victory.
The others began to wake up. Ahri first. I beamed at her.
"Hi Ahri!"
She smiled back. "Hi, Alice!" She bopped my nose, just to see me scowl cutely. I obliged from pure reflex. The scowl disappeared, and I pouted.
"It's raining." I cried. I stuck out my lower lip further.
Ahri stroked my bunny ears. "Shh...it'll all get better." What I didn't notice was Robby following her. And with a quick snap of his fingers, the rain stopped and birds sang. I clapped in delight.
"Do it again! Do it again!" He made rain appear, then disappear. I smiled happily.
"Thank you!" I said, before leaping into a big hug. There was nothing romantic between us, but I liked hugging him and acting all cute with him just to get Ahri on my case a little. It was fun to annoy her, like I was the littlest sister. Even though Avi was.
Colli and Chris came down next. They were pretty quiet, I didn't know what was up with that.
Next came Avi who was chipper and sunny. A little more than usual. I didn't know what that situation was either, but I didn't give it too much thought. She probably slept well, or ate something good before bed. She'll tell us if she wants.
And she did tell us. But it wasn't anything I had guessed.
Not even close. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ JAMES' POV
My face was throbbing. Why is she do damn good at slapping? Ah well, I have to put up with it, I would have died a pathetic death if they didn't bring me back. I can sense their anger towards me, they say certain animals have special abilities and I seem to get a little but of each. I wish one animal had telekanisis, that would come in handy.
That Alice girl... I wish she'd get over me trying to eat her, I've had things try to eat me tonnes of times, I was nearly digested one time... I've tried to make peace with her but everything I confront her wen others aren't around she slaps me.
I don't sleep as I can turn into nocturnal animals too, I have no need. I can sleep though. They were nice enough to give me a bed, every night I get into and pretend to be asleep, then, when everyone's asleep, I get out of the house and explore. They don't know I can turn into any animal yet so I'll keep with the fox bear story. That's what I've been telling everyone but Alice knows whats up... I wish she'd get over it, I swear my face will be permanently red soon.. Last night I changed into a hawk and soared the skies until I found some carrots, I took three and left the rest. As soon as I heard Alice wake up I got out of bed and went down to see her rummaging for food. "Perfect!" I thought, "Maybe she'll accept these carrots as a peace offering if she's hungry." I heard murmuring upstairs and turned around, seeing no one. I turned back around but I stumbled, making a noise. Alice got a fright and hit her head, I kinda felt sorry for her until she turned around with a scowl on her face, right then I knew I'd need to feel sorry for myself very soon. She slapped me a lot even when I was just trying to be polite. I got so enraged I could have turned into a bear and finished her right then and there but I didn't do that, or show her my anger on my face, I didn't want to give her that pleasure.
I left the house and went into the forest. It's where I kept all my loot, well, just one picture. It was a picture of mum and me, we're running down a path with our backs to te view point. The picture is in a Lockett, I suppose it belonged to her. I grabbed hold of the locket and squeezed it hard, feeling the energy inside. It calmed me down.
"I'll show her..." I thought to myself and turned into a male copy of her rabbit. I bounced around a bit but stop when I tripped and landed on my face. My picture isn't my only loot though, my mother had a diary, it's pages totally blank though...
I picked up the diary and opened it up to the first page, expecting the normal blankness but instead I was suprised to see black, curly writing. It said:
James, to be reading the first pages of this diary, you must have found a place to call home, some where safe. James I'm sure you are very aware that you are an animagus, shapeshifter and that you can change shape to what ever you like. While you may get tired from using big forms, this will go away in due time. Getting better at your powers will unlock more of these pages. James I did not abandon you, I love you and always have and if it was up to me id be with you. Oh and James, she's not just a bunny or a human.
A droplet of water slid down my face, I knew it was not rain because that had stopped log ago, it was because for the first time in my life, I knew I had a mother, and she loved me.
I thought about one thing in the journal.. "She is not just a bunny or a human." Was that Alice? If so, how did mum know I'd meet her? And how is she not just a bunny human? It's not up to me I guess. I turned into a hawk and flew back to the house. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MASON'S POV
I was so confused. I've only just arrived to this mystical place, and there is so much to take in. Finally, these people are different, like me. As you know, I'm part Tiger, having its skills of deception, perseverance, and its beauty. I also posses to powers, i have gained from my parents before they died in... Well I control all forms of water, but the other power is a bit more... well lets just say I don't feel comfortable telling them yet. They might shun me away like the others. I've been an outcast of three of these families, but none had members quite like this. These ones would fight, yet when the time called for it, they would all give there lives for each other. This power is if, I don't control myself, i get lost in another persons thoughts. I mean that literally. I can enter there mind, and see what they've seen.
Where are my manners? My name is Mason. I am exactly what I have described above, but the elders say I am destined to be much more.
Ahri kept flirting with me, and for some reason, felt like I was in a trance. I almost was taken in by her majestic beauty but Alice snapped me out of it. She took off her hood, and said she was tired. She was so cute on my lap, and when I saw the two birthmarks on her neck, that looked like my birth sign, and the strange formation I keep having visions about, I knew it wasn't luck that had brought me here. I thought I could escape my old world, but it always seemed to find me.
The world started spinning. Oh no, this cant be happening. Not to this young girl, no! NO!!! Its too late.... I've entered her dreams. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV
"Look! My flower finally bloomed!" I say. they don't know I had made it bloom. "That's great!" Ahri says. I gobble up my breakfast. The previous night I had met with Peregrine, we flew together, yes I flew. I'm my special Dream Land. well the Spirit Land. I'm glad I haven't seen Talon again. "Why do you look so tired? have you been outside?" Colli asks. she is very observant. "Dunno." I reply. "And no I have not been outside." "Okay..." She says while she walks off. I see her glance back suspiciously.
what? I haven't been outside.
I walk over to the open window and shut it. "You keep forgetting to shut this" I say to Ahri. Ahri takes off my bandage. "I'm going to heal this, okay?" She tells me. "Kay" I say. while she heals it I think about what I read in the book. It talked about the sea, feeling the wind, and smelling the ocean breeze. I want to see the ocean. when she finished it looked like my arm was never injured. "Thanks!" I grin at her and run off to the kitchen for a snack. I snatch the book and read it while I eat an apple.
"Sailing? sounds a bit dangerous, but fun." I thought. I put down the book and jump onto the couch. I flick on the TV to hear it talking about a "dragon migration" .
Ooh" I thought. "I'm gonna like that"
I tell the rest of the family about it. they seem interested. Ahri says we will go. The migration starts in two days. Well one. it's bedtime now. I grab a book about dragons and read it in my room. I read in the book. Being too lazy to get up, I toss the book on the floor. Thump. I pull my blanket over my shoulders and fall asleep. I get up and walk towards the door. I trip and fall over. I shouldn't have left the book on the floor. I put it back where it belongs. I walk down the stairs jumping over two steps and land on the bottom floor. It reminded me bout flying. I look at my shoulder blades and the rest of my arm. I see some feathers growing in. I grin and run into the dining room. I jump over the back of my chair and land in front of it. I sit down and stretch. I see the others coming in. Ahri puts a plate in front of me. mmmm. Bread, milk, and apples. . Everyone starts to talk so I start a conversation. "In my book, I read about the ocean and sailing. can we go sailing? Or at least see the ocean?" I ask "Okay. but maybe in a week. We are already going to the dragon migration." Ahri tells me. I push out my chair and I tell everyone that I'm going outside. It was snowy out so I pull on my boots and and put my aqua jacket on. I wind my scarf around my neck and I walk outside. I was going to walk far, but not far enough so I couldn't see the house. I climbed up the hill and happily sprinted down it at full speed. I loved doing that. I can feel the wind. it sorta feels like flying. I go around a little hill to see one thing. A dragon egg. I know its a dragon egg, in that book I studied all the Illistrations. The egg was smooth and somewhat large. I looked around. I don't see parents. I look in the snow. no footprints. I look in the sky. Still. No dragons. I was completely sure it was abandoned. and it was. I quickly unwinded my scarf and put it around the egg. even if there was parents, with my scent on the egg, they won't accept it back. I brushed the snow off the cold egg. I put my ear to it. The baby dragon was alive, so I brought it back to the house. I ran carefully to our fireplace. It put it in front of it. The others walked in and asked questions like "What ya got there?" or "Is that a dragon egg?" . "Yes it is. And it's abandoned." I tell them. The egg was warming up. I knew that this dragon would survive, and I would raise it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
Things went downhill pretty fast.
I was in bunny form, stumbling around in the snow. Scrounging for some carrots. Oh gosh, I hadn't had a nice fresh carrot in so long. My mouth watered and my nose twitched thinking about it.
I finally found one. It was huge and boasted a vibrant orange color that contrasted beautifully against the pure white snow. I hungrily pounced upon the inanimate object, gnawing away at it gleefully. It was so good. It tasted better than any other carrot I'd ever eaten. It was sheer bliss.
Munching on the carrot with snow falling in serene silence, I began to head back to my new home. I moved in only weeks ago but it felt like a lifetime was spent with them. I already had a vast new wardrobe, since evidently Ahri likes to shop for cute things. I was her Barbie doll. I still am.
She picked out a variety of skirts, more or less all of them being black, pink, or both. My shirts were all black or pink. It seemed like my color scheme would be black and pink. Biker chick skirts, frilly tutus with tiny studs, fishnet stockings (surprisingly NOT cute, moreso seductive, but I MADE them cute), a variety of preppy or rebellious shirts, and a dozen pairs of shoes, ranging from flip flops to flats to heels to biker boots with a waterfall of metallic studs along the side.
Ahri liked shopping a lot.
Setting the carrot down, I hopped in the tiny bunny door Purity installed just for me. It was only six inches by six inches, but plenty big enough for a cute bunny like me. I popped in, and yanked my snack through the door.
Hopping to the fireplace without thinking, I tried to warm up, but realized I needed to get into human form. The others had began to pet my ears like I was really a bunny, not a girl inside a bunny body. I shapeshifted quickly, feeling black corkscrew curls fall down my head in graceful ringlets.
I was greeted in human form with choruses of "hey Alice" or "hi bunny". Avi called me over and I sat by her, still in a carrot-coma. That carrot left me in bliss. It was only then when I looked at the fire. And what did I see?
A dragon egg, warming itself by the fire.
Uh oh.
I tried to walk away but I couldn't.
Things went downhill pretty fast.
I knew I wouldn't be able to stop what was about to happen. And frankly, I don't want to go into depth and explain to you what was going on. Some things, I need to keep to myself. My little secret.
I will say that my usually deep, almost-black brown eyes began glowing, though. A ruby tint colored my bunny ears and my fluffy tail. I hoped no one noticed how my voice took on a double sound, one being my usual tinkling bell voice, an the undertone being a harmonizing, deep, scratchy sound. I hoped no one noticed how my lips turned ruby red as opposed to the pink lipstick shade Ahri let me borrow.
But all those hopes were in vain.
I knew the others noticed how different I was.
I knew it.
And I knew there were going to be questions to follow. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AHRI'S POV
Avi seemed...strange. She was by now means her normal self. Her feathers had a strange shininess to them, and she seemed distant. as if she was somewhere else... "Avi?" Mason said sheepishly "Are you okay?" "Okay....what does the word "okay" mean? is it a Pre-South Park pronunciation of m'kay? A word used to get people OUT OF YOUR FACE? 'OH MY GOD. THERE'S A ROBBER IN MY HOUSE!' 'Okay.' I guess one would say i am in fact, "Okay", im not good, nor bad. im not really sure to be honest, but im happy!" Avi smiles. everyone looks mind-blown at the intelligent demeanor of this six year old girl! I was more concerned at why she was watching south-park... "Masooonnn!" Alice says adorably, pouting and tugging on his arm (The nerve!). "Can you use some of your amazing magic to try and fix avi?" She gives him her bunny eyes. "Im not sure if my magic can fix her...im sorry to disappoint you alice" She looks down, never failing to be adorable... I pull alice to the side "This is not the time to be flirting!" I say, looking angry myself. "Im sorry, but you are adorable when you are angry, almost as adorable as me!" She stood up on tip toes to boop me on my nose, like i did to her. Purity suddenly walked in "I Think i have an idea. ahri." she says smugly in her beautiful voice. She held an adorable ginger kitten, with intelligent looking eyes and two tails. The kitten jumps down from pure's arms, and she suddenly transforms into a human. "AWW COME ON! ANOTHER ONE?!?" Emma exclaims in disbelief. Pure shushed emma, and somehow still managed to make it sound beautiful. The cat woman held a staff, it had jewels that were somehow levitating in the staff, it took me a minute to stop looking at them, and look at the girl. she wore green, which complimented her ginger hair nicely. "Pure said she needed my assistance, my name is Repaire, and i am here to help" She said in a soft, wispy voice. She walked over to avi and got on one knee in front of her. "Hello little bird, what is your name?" She said with a smile "Names are an elusive thing, to come up with an original one is almost breathtakingly difficult. whether its thinking of a name for a child, or a name for the perfect character in world of warcraft, or skyrim if you prerfer, have you ever heard of perfect world international...." She continued to babble on and on. "She isnt usually like this." Colli said. "I would be surprised if she was, she might not still have her voice at this rate! i sould probably start doing my job. pure? would you mind helping me?" Pure smiled and nodded. Repaire raised her staff, and it started to glow a a light blue color. as she did this, avi looked at the staff, transfixed, as pure walked to her and started singing. it was the most beautiful sound i have ever heard in my life! when she stopped singing, i got afraid i would be depressed, because all other sounds might be a letdown... eventually, avi lost the gleam in her feathers, and her eyes changed back to their regular color. we sould keep this newcomer, even if our family is alittle to big as it is.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ JAMES' POV
I hadn't been back at the house for two days, although I doubt they noticed anyways. I'm still deciding whether to even go back, my mother did say it was a safe place... I've been practising my powers, getting better and better. I flew back to the house yesterday hearing laughing voices and happy tones, guess their fine with out me...
As I was saying, I have practiced my powers a lot recently and I found out a very cool feature. Before I thought the only parts of animals I kept when I was in human form was animals senses and such, but I can also obtain small parts of them too. One day I changed my finger nails into bear claws, then I grew a foxs' tail! It was great fun.
I decided to back to the house, it was fun watching them play UNO. I picked up the carrots I grabbed for Alice, transformed into a hawk and headed home. I caught Alice on the way back to the house, crying. "What, why is she crying?" I thought to myself. "Lets go find out" I flew a couple meters away from her, dropped the carrots and picked them up again shortly after turning into a bunny. I hopped over to the slumped over figure of Alice with the three carrots, filling all of my mouth and sticking out the sides. I brushed my ear along her hand and she stuck her head up with extreme speed. "Oh, it's just you," said Alice wiping her wet eyes, on the brink of tears, "Dd you get those carrots for me? Oh wow thanks bunny!"
I was happy to know I helped her, even if she'd never know it was me. I still wondered why she was crying, though I soon found out. "That stupid dragon egg, oh they all probably think I'm a total freak now.."
"What dragon egg?" I thought to myself Alice's eyes widened, shock all over her face "James?" She whispered Uh oh, I'm in the bad now, I talked out loud when I was thinking to myself, dammit! "Change human, now!" I reluctantly changed back to human and stood up. "I can't believe that you did that!" yelled Alice " How dare you pretend to be a bunny and do that!" "Do what!" I yelled back, infruiated that I was put in the spotlight for helping her, "Help you?!" "Yeah I bet these carrots were poisoned!" Retorted Alice. "I picked ten two days ago and went to give them to ÿõù when you were rummaging for food, then you slapped me before I could even mention them! I've camped out here for the last day and still saved them, although I bet you never noticed I was gone!"
This infuriated Alice as she did notice, but why bother sending a search party for him..
She ran off, as the sting of my last sentence sunk in. I turned into a hawk and soared into the sky flying ahead of her and landing infront whilst turning into human again. "So you can turn into all animals." said Alice "Yes, now come back with me to the house" I said "I'll go alone thanks." replied Alice, the ice of her last words hung in the air with tension. She turned around and walked off. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COLI'S POV
As the stars swirled into view, I walked to my room with Purity. The floorboards creaked underneath me, but I wasn't scared. Purity would save me if that ever happened. Dodging the mess of books on the floor, I slither up the ladder rungs to the top bunk. Trying to create a Guiding Light to read with, I slowly reach for a book. Stopping the spell, I put the book away. I'll do one thing before sleeping. One thing. Creaking open my chest, careful Purity would not see, I take out a diary. My diary. Flipping to the second page, which had been finished last night, I start to write. 'Dear Aurora, I can't wait to see you tonight! I learned a spell- "Guiding Light" and I've mastered it.' Thinking thoughtfully, I add, 'I've also named my own constellation Paw Stars. It is two paws, and reminds me of us. Thats about it for tonight. Love, Colli.' Carefully, quietly, I slip the book in my chest. "Go to sleep now, Colli. You're going to wake us all up with that creaking." Purity said. Her voice sounded like chimes in a gentle breeze. Obeying, I nodded and whispered, "Yes Pure." Leaping to the ladder, I dodge the paper wedged between a rung and collapsed into bed. That was close. I heard howls outside. Arooooo! Rooroooo! AROOOOO! They seemed to say, "Don't fall asleep! DON'T FALL ASLEEP!" Smiling at myself, I thought, Why shouldn't I go to sleep if I'm seeing my wonderful Mum, and tribe? Suddenly I was pulled into sleep, not a gentle lull, but a quick, sudden pull. Waking up into my room on a sunny morning, I knew just where I was. Walking along the not creaky floorboards, I skip down to the kitchen to see her. Everyone here now chimed, "Hello Colli!" Nodding at the others, who had just said hello, I pick up speed to find Mum. Standing by the furnace, I saw her. She came in through the doors, bright and happy. "Hello Colli dear! How are you?" I smile and think, How could that be evil? "I'm doing great, Mom. Didja read it yet? I can't help missing you even though I see you every night!" She holds my hand and walks towards the now-new library. Running towards the fire, I crouch in front of the flickering warmth. Aurora (Mum) picked out a book and handed it to me. Whispering, she said, "I'll let you take one book back with you. Ok dear?" She smiled sweetly. I read the title. "Shape-shifting: Beginners". I squealed and hugged the book to my chest. "Thank you so much!" Aurora looked at me, slightly sad. "I'll see you tomorrow, Colli." I faded away, being sent back to the real world. Aurora, when I had faded, tapped something where the book had been. It glowed pink, pushing away a slate revealing a secret storage. All it contained was a dusty book labeled, "Colli's Diary." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
I bumbled around in the snow a little, reluctantly eating the carrots James gave me. I was still crying. I couldn't believe I acted like that when I saw the egg. What if something happened? What if I actually...
Nevermind that. I can't tell you what I might have done.
On my trek to the house, I ran into Purity. I quickly transformed into a girl and rushed to greet her.
"Hi Purity!" I bounced.
"Hello, Alice. Why are you out here?"
Oh no. What was I supposed to say now?! I couldn't remind her of how I acted towards the egg. Maybe I'll just pretend to not know anything. Maybe I should just run. Should I lie? Yeah. That's what I'll do.
As I scrambled to form an intelligent answer, Purity was still waiting. I snapped out of my trance, embarrassed to be caught thinking so long.
"I just...needed some air." The sentence came out strangled and choppy.
Purity looked at me oddly. I knew why. She knew better...Purity saw the truth and the good in everyone, which simultaneously gave her the capability to see right through lies.
And what I just said, was a major lie.
She stepped in closer.
"Why did you really leave?"
I faltered.
"You can tell me. The goodness and faithfulness in me will stop me from telling anyone else."
Something told me to believe her.
Something told me to trust her.
Ah, why not.
"Is the egg still there?" I asked. Purity nodded.
"I'm assuming your strange behavior has something to do with the dragon egg Avi found."
I remained silent.
Inhaling deeply, I motioned for her to follow me, walking towards the house.
We trudged in silence for five minutes, leaving light footprints in the freshly fallen snow. I began to wonder why she was outside, like me, all alone. Maybe she was looking for me.
We were almost near the house, and my stomach began to flutter. This was it. I realized EVERYONE was crowded around the egg, so if I showed Purity, I'd be showing everyone. Might as well. They have a right to know. I wouldn't tell them everything. Maybe I'd lie again, despite Purity's capability to detect lies. I wouldn't tell them the full truth, I'd just show them what happens when I'm near a dragon egg. I'd make up some lie about bunnies being allergic to dragons or something.
Stepping inside, the warmth of the fireplace reached its inviting arms to the doorway, where it engulfed us in its hot blankets. We drew closer to the fire, where the egg sat. I glanced at Purity, who was looking at me curiously.
Breathing in slowly, I cleared my throat and spoke up.
"Everyone, can I have your attention!" People stopped their humming chatter to listen.
I took off my leather jacket, leaving only a black tank top and a pink scarf. I removed my black boots, leaving only my black skirt and pink stockings. I tiptoed on stocking feet over to Avi and put my hands on her shoulders.
"As you obviously know, Avi brought home a dragon egg." I stepped back and prepared a lie about bunnies in my head.
"I guess I should tell you I have a fear of dragon eggs." Looking back at Purity, I could tell she knew it was a lie, but played along.
Quickly fluffing my hair, I stepped up to the egg. A rushing sensation came over me. I covered my constellation birthmarks to hide the fact that they were glowing. Breathing in, I heard the others gasp as they witnessed my white ears turn light red. More of a pink shade, if you will. My eyes went from dark brown to red. Not cute at all but this was natural. They saw my pink, full lips burn bright, vampire red.
I spoke, and they recoiled in shock how my voice took on a double sound, one being my normal twinkling voice and another being a deeper, scratcher, metallic harmony.
"So...you'll be like this every time you see a dragon egg?"
I nodded guiltily, knowing that I was an excellent liar, and that everyone minus Purity would believe me. But I began acting strangely again, not myself. I was silent, and my eyes took a hungry, vicious look. I knew I had to stop lying about this and get away from the wretched egg. So I turned into a bunny and popped up the stairs. Turning human once more, I leaned over my dresser and breathed in and out. My whole body was shaking and my skin was an unnaturally pale shade.
I couldn't do this for long. One of had to go. Either me or the egg.
Once I regained my composure and redid my makeup, I came downstairs with a smile.
A fake smile, of course. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COLI'S POV
Gathered round Alice at the small but strong fire was weird. I never saw my bunny so pale, her eyes so...red. Scarlet even. after she left, then came down again with a smile, I knew something was wrong. she wouldn't leave to come back. well, if she is allergic then I HAVE to get rid of that egg! Running up to my room as the sun rose into a position above the house, I then threw down tons of books. looking for one book. "Dragon Encyclopedia" was its name and I looked EVERYWHERE for it. I still found it hard to believe this house had so many books. Throwing the last book on the ground, I sigh. Now I remember. Ahri took my "Dragon Encyclopedia" from me and stored it in her room. HER ROOM. Nobody had been in there yet. In fact, it was down in the basement. Calling over to Purity, I ask her where Ahri is now. "Ahri? I think she went out hunting for chickens. Left about a minute ago." Purity still sounded perfect as always. "Thanks Pure!" I said. Rushing out, I added, "And be a sis and clean up my stuff!" Purity glanced at my floor, grimacing. "This will take a while..." Starting to put the books back, she looked at titles. Setting aside a few books of her own, she continued. I ran down to the cracked, mossy dining table and turned to the bottom of the stairs. Standing there, cold and menacing, were two iron doors. Locked. Sadly they weren't cracked or old, as Ahri had replaced them with strong doors. I wonder why. Peeking around the staircase, I took a small chunk of cold pork. Last minute I decided to warm it by the fire. Emma was there, watching the egg with curiosity. Relizing I was there, she said, "I wonder what kind it is." Mumbling, I said, "Me too." I was wary of her because, well, who wouldn't be of a vampire? Her red eyes weren't what scared me. It was her gleaming white fangs, capable of drinking my blood just like that. "You don't have to be scared of me Colli." She had noticed my quivering body. Wow she was smart. "I can't help it." I whispered as quietly as I could. Placing a comforting pale hand on my shoulder, she smiled revealing her fangs. Screaming, I ran away with my food terrified. Purity, Alice, and Avi came to see all the commotion. "S-sorry. Emm scared me." Plastering my fake smile, I hoped they would believe it. Purity knew what had really happened when Emma came out of the library looking downcast. I backed away to the old kitchen and ate my warm pork. Then my strength returned to my hobbly legs and quivering arms. My orange ears relaxed and stood rigid and straight in my short brown hair. green eyes gleaming, I try to pry open the doors to the basement where Ahri stays. "Hey! I'm back everyone!" I heard the swirling wind outside and the doors jerked open as Ahri approached the dining room. Oh no. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV
I walk to the fireplace and sit by the egg. Emma was sitting by me. We talk about the egg for a while. Tomorrow was the dragon migration. But having a dragon egg in my house was better. I thought of name for the little dragon. Tatsuya. It means dragon Assertive. I didn't choose it for its meaning, I liked the sound of it. I lean of Emma, yawning. "Ready for a nap?" She asks. "Yup." I close my eyes but I don't fall asleep. I always turn my head to look at Tatsuya. I get off Emma and head to the kitchen for a snack. I munch on a carrot. Then I start thinking.
Do the others like him? Or are they just acting like that so I don't get upset? well Emma seems happy with 'im.
I walk outside and check the place I found him. I sigh with relief. It looks like no dragon is angry that he/she is gone I run back inside and I hear Colli throwing books around. "I'm glad I don't share a room with her." I mutter. I walk up to our new family member, Repaire. I get to know her more, so I walk off. I see Purity pass by and I say hi to her. She says hi back in her beautiful voice. I hear Colli in the dining room and I hear Ahri come into the house. "Hi Ahri!" I say with delight. "Hi Avi! Did I miss anything?" The others walk in to greet Ahri, well everyone but Colli. he's probably grabbing a snack. "Well" I begin. "I thought of a name for the dragon.".I thought I saw Alice flinch at here word dragon. "His name will be Tatsuya" Everyone agrees with the name. "Could we think of a nickname for the little guy? Something easy like Flare." Emma says "Sparky!" I yell. the others nod in agreement and they leave the room. I walk up to Alice while she is still alone. "Alice?" yes?" "Is what you said true? About you and the egg. I mean, so ALL bunnies are afraid of dragons, so they change color? Or is it just you?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Quick note- DON'T PUT NEW CHAPTERS HERE! I POST THEM HERE 10 CHAPTERS AT A TIME

AHRI'S POV I was back from hunting chicken. fire worked well against them, they cooked themselves when i cast fox fire, maybe i sould do this more often...i DO love chicken... I Opened the doors with both of my hands, one of my tails was holding my chicken bag. and my orb followed me obediently. I sniffed the air, james has been here. he didnt intrest me much, he could turn into every animal, INCLUDING a fox. most would think that i would like a fox, but surprisingly i do not like to date them, they understand me TOO well. i like to be mysterious, elusive, i love a good chase, and the fox men knew how to elude me, and lead me on too well. i made a face at my thoughts and then i thought about mason. he was a TIGER. most of the food chain wishes they could have such a majestic animal to be theirs, and it was all to easy for me. i know what they desire. i smiled to myself, smugly and said "Im Home everyone!" i said loudly "Hi ahri!" i heard 6 or seven voices say. was mason's voice there i thought? no, i didnt hear that bear tone... rather tiger tone! I laughed at my own joke, and walked in to prepare the chicken, when i saw avi run downstairs. "Hey, Ahri! guess what? i have decided to name the dragon Tetsuya! it means, dragon assertive!" Avi smiled at me exitedly, ready for her new dragon friend. "Im so happy for you avi! soon you and tetsuya will be able to fly together!" I beamed and ruffled her hair. suddenly, mason walked in. and avi watched as my stance changed as i knew he was walking in. it took her a second, but she realized she sould probably walk away and leave the adults alone. "Oh, hello there mason" i said, in full flirt mode mode. he took a few seconds and sat down at the table, near where i was fixing the chicken. "You cooked the chicken that fast?" He said amazed at my progress "Oh, heavens no, i used a fire spell to slay them, my favorite spell cooks them automatically, it is quite useful, saves a lot of time we could be using to get to know each other better" i gave him a little wink "if you think about it, we haven't really gotten to talk alone very much..." he said looking at me "The only memories i remember of us is when we first met, and when i sat next to you while we played cards." He had a bit of a dreamy look on his face, as he remembered the way i flirted with him. "So, what do you think of james, mason?" His face lit up just ever so slightly when i said his name. "well, he did try to eat alice. were you considering going out with him or something?" He asked sheepishly "He doesnt seem my type, mason. scince he can be a fox, he understands me too well. its a bit unnerving..." i looked worried. he immediately got up to try and comfort me, and apologize for bringing it up. in my head i cheered a bit, Hes mine now! i looked into his eyes, and he looked into mine. "Don't you trust me?" I said to him. i saw an unsure look in his face. i commanded my orb behind him, and i used my charm magic on him, to get rid of all doubt. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV Most of the family is by the fireplace. (besides Alice of course) The night seems still and the only sounds that can be heard are the crackling of the fire and the chirping of crickets. "The dragon migration is tomorrow" Ahri starts a conversation. "I know!" I say excitedly. "What do you guys expect to see?" Mason asks. We all thought for a moment. "Dragons -w-" I say. Ahri was about to speak when Trrrrrr Trrrrrrrrrra We all hear the sounds from the dragon egg. I crouch down low so i can see the shadow of the dragon in front of the fire. The wings are the only thing i could see clearly. Tap tap "aaaaw! Hes tapping on the shell of the egg!" I say. I could see a little shadow bounce up in the egg and it creates a small crack on the top. We were all very curious. "Colli! Come in here!" I call out. In a few moments Colli comes in. She notices the crack in the egg. Blrrrrrr It appeared to by lying down, so i got up and said "Hes sleeping. Lets come back later" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE'S POV Lots of drama is happening. The dragon egg, Ahri and Mason, and Alice acting funny. Of course, I know how its all going to end. I can see people's bad intentions. By seeing that, and reading body language, I can pretty much predict the future. It isn't 100% accurate, and I try to to pry. But... One person.... James... I can't read him at all. I've never been able to do that before. I saw a couple of his bad intentions when he went after Alice, but after that, nothing. Does that mean he has no bad intentions or... No. No. I can't consider that. But... His EYES. Those deep (blue?) eyes. They are with him in every form. I remember those eyes. I saw them. Let me tell you a story. My hometown was a floating above the clouds. At birth, we were all given a virtue of goodness. I became Purity then. Some people were hope, or love. When I was 14 years old, the kingdom fell. Literally. It crashed to the ground and DISAPPEARED. I wasn't supposed to survive. The dark guild attacked us, trying to wipe out all good. So, they destroyed it. We were connected to the kingdom. Its complicated, but basically, when the kingdom was destroyed I stayed the same age. Everyone in the kingdom could die at any time, unless their True One was alive in the normal word. I only survived because my True One was alive. No one else did. Kay, are you wondering what a True One is? Well, it is the one you can break your virtue with. I could become UN-PURE and be with my True One, and age normally. Sounds cheesy, but a kiss from your True One is what breaks my virtue. I'd have to pick a new name, and i'd be.. HUMAN. Now the odd parts. When I fell, I saw two deep (blue?) eyes. Then I knew. I KNEW my True One had those eyes. Those...Those were James' eyes... Also, you are probably wondering about Chives... "Chive" isn't a virtue, its an herb. Chives wasn't supposed to be born. He wasn't a mistake, but... almost a "misprint" HE doesn't have a virtue, but he isn't human. He isn't fully one of US, because he has no virtue or True One. But he isn't human. Kinda an immortal teenage outcast. Never safe, haha. Hope I lighted the mood a bit with Chives. He is my brother, and I do care for him very much. He visits me every night, by the big oak tree. He keep telling me about Emma. "Oh she is so pretty, so nice," and sweet stuff like that. Back to James. Not all True One's have to be one of US. They can be human, or something else I'm scared of James. Very scared. But... I think he is my True One. I just need to talk to him.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV I pitter pattered in the forest in bunny form. I didn't want to deal with all that was happening. If I acted so strongly about the egg... How was I going to act during the dragon migration? I didn't want to deal with it. I never wanted to. Dread filled every corner of me, and I found I needed to rest. I found my little rock shelter I built, and took it easy for a little while. My sensitive bunny ears picked up noise. A human. Upset. Angry. Wow, this guy was furious. I peeked outside my little shelter, to see Mason storming into the woods. I was annoyed. He would disturb all the wildlife (including me). Whatever, I suppose he had good reason to be upset. The question was, what was he upset ABOUT? Silently bouncing behind a tree, I waited for him to stop. He muttered to himself, eyes stormy, face red. Putting on a cute face, I pretended to be just another bunny. Twitching my nose absentmindedly, I hopped up to him. He scratched my head in the midst of his fury. "Lucky bunny. You don't have to deal with all this crap." I almost laughed. He was talking to a bunny, even if it was just me. Time for me to reveal myself. Ah, not yet. Why not mess with him. Letting him pet my ears, I snuffled and sniffed. It was an invitation for him to rant. "Sorceress. Charming me. Why!" He slammed his palm into a tree. I remembered I was supposed to be a normal bunny, so I pretended to recoil in fear. His gaze softened, and he offered a hand. "I didn't mean to scare you. I'm sorry." He closed his eyes and let me hop onto his hand. He closed both hands around me and held me up to his face. "You're a cute little bunny." He cooed. "Wait." A moment of realization washed over him. "A cute little bunny?!" Time for me to make my appearance. I glowed a pink aura around me and I transformed. It was quite awkwardly funny, looking from a distance. It was Mason, just a regular guy, clutching a cute girl with bunny ears by the arms, like he was holding an animal. I laughed. Mason dropped me. "Didn't see that coming, did you!" I smiled impishly. Mason's face was annoyed, but not angry. Just a playful irritation. "Sorry I scared you by hitting that tree." "Mason I was acting." I laughed. "Oh." His face reddened. A moment of silence flitted between us. "So what was all that about a sorceress?" I inquired. His face became flat. "Just... Ahri. She was charming me this whole time." I nodded sympathetically. "Give her another chance. She really likes you and-" he cut me off. "Another chance?! She was casting spells into my life. Meddling with my brain! No!" I waited. "Finished?" He nodded and glared at the falling snow, as if he was angry at it for falling too daintily. My nose twitched out of habit. "Give her another chance. Honestly. She really likes you, that's the only reason she charmed you. To make you like her better." He scowled. "Fine. Don't take my advice." I flopped into bunny form. Mason tied my ears together. Hastily I turned human while he doubled over in laughter. My white ears were still tied. Fumbling, I tried to undo them. Mercifully, I untied them and they popped up, bubbly and straight up. Scowling, I headed to the house. Whatever. I met the new vampire along the way. Her name was Emma. I liked her...she had attitude. It was refreshing, to see how she didn't care what anyone thought of her. I didn't mind her being around. Sure, it was a little intimidating to have a vampire around you with razor sharp fangs, but...it was alright. I didn't fear her like anyone else. To me she was like a big sister, someone I could go to for advice from her many experienced years. The egg was still sitting by the fire, but I noticed a few cracks. Suddenly the whole world spun like a giant top. From the firelight, I saw the dragon's dim silhouette inside the egg. I moaned and felt my lips turn red and my ears take a light red hue. My teeth lengthened to thick white fangs and I tried to conceal them. My eyes burned red, my voice took a double edge. I dashed upstairs before anyone saw. Unfortunately, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed someone standing, witnessing my quick transformation. Purity ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE'S POV have been waiting to see it. My hunch was correct. Alice could become a vampire, and it happens when she is near that egg. She looks scared and ashamed. I walk over, and do the thing that makes the most sense. I give her a hug. I'm not scared of her. Technically, I'm immortal until James... Nevermind. "You can trust me with anything, sweetie" I said comfortingly. "Come upstairs, let me sing you a song" I lead her to her room, and start singing my calming song. Soon she was a bunny, and fast asleep. I kept singing, and pretty soon the ENITRE HOUSE was in Alice's room, listening. They were all asleep in not too long. "Why not?" I think. I lay my head down, squished between Ahri and Alice. Finally, some peace. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV I don't know. As long as my suspicion is correct, everyone thinks I'm a vampire. Vampire bunny. Heh. I like that. Sadly enough, it's false, though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ JAMES' POV I looked up at purity while I was leaning against the wall, "You sure can sing purity." I said She looked up suprised, expecting me to be asleep. "How are you awake." she replied curiously I laughed, "And why should I tell you?" I asked "Because... You can trust me?" she said after some thought "Oh but can I?" I replied sourly She stared into my deep blue eyes, "Yes." She said it in such a way that I knew I could "Come with me" I said while walking out of the crowded room, I walked into my room and shut the door behind purity, "Why did you do that?" she asked "Because I don't want prying eyes and ears." I implied She flung herself onto my bed. "Go on, tell me" she said. After hours of explaining to her about my powers, she understood me completely. "Ok so turn into a frog!" she exclaimed teasingly. I transformed into a frog and hoped around the room. "Oh grow bunny wars, just like Alice!" Her eyes widened while saying this, I didn't know what it meant but I could sense her uneasiness, I made bunny ears but she wasnt interested in that anymore. "James, Alice is a vampire, I saw her transform when she was near the egg" Whispered Alice My memory flicked to mothers diary, Alice crying about the egg. But I realised, "She's not a vampire." I replied casually "How do you know James?" She said with confusion, "I saw her" "Why would she be so happy, I'd freak out if the whole house knew about my powers." I instigated "I guess your right.." Replied Purity sleepily. I saw her eyes start to close but didn't think about moving her off my bed, I pulled the blankets over her and stroked the hair off her revealing a young, cute face. I let her go to sleep, she'd learned a lot today. I walked out and closed the door, seeing as the sun was going to rise soon I went down and started making some breakfast, hope they like pancakes. I walked past the egg and looked at it, there were cracks and a shape moving around inside, creating more. Hatching time. I sat on the couch an watch as the little baby dragon crawled out and flopped onto the floor, "hello little guy." I said He looked at me with curious eyes, very cute. All was going well until it went bad, very bad. The little red dragon's eyes turned purple along with its body which glowed a dar, purple. The dragon opened its mouth and in an all too familiar voice it said, "Good to see you again james" Talon. "What are you doing here and why are you possessing a poor baby dragon?" I replied with a sharp edge "Well, give me your mothers locket and I'll let him have is own will" he replied sarcastically, he knew I wouldn't "I won't tell you where it is, I'm not scared of you or death" I yelled. "Oh, but what if I kill her?" "What, purity? Leave her out of this talon." "Oh whts the fun in that? She's awakened and coming down right now, feeling the presence of dark magic." "Talon!" I growled Purity walked around the corner to see me facing the dragon, "Oh wow, the dragon hatched! Oh he's so cute!" She said as she started walking towards it, "Purity, stop, don't get any closer" I replied quickly "Oh it's just a dragon James, he won't kill me." She replied teasingly. It wa too late, the dragon jumped onto her scratching a long line up her arm which healed instantly "um-" I started "Later!" exclaimed purity obviously distressed I shrunk down to a cat on got close to purity, talons dragon noticed and slashed out at me, luckily cats are very flexible, I snuck up behind the dragon turned into human form with beer claws and slashed the dragon off purity's shoulder. It flopped onto the floor motionless. I looked to where purity was standing to see we gone, being pulled away by chives, her brother. "It too dangerous! Dragons! It's a sick house." exclaimed chives "No!" yelled purity He took her and slammed the door, I won't to run after and reason with chives but I realised the whole house was up an looking at me. I could see someone with tears welling up from seeing the dragon dead, a couple people actually. Where is purity is the only thing I heard before being knocked out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV RUN. I bounded up the steps. Wow, I had no idea bunnies could run so quickly... My ears twitched. Listening. Well, I heard a lot. I heard Avi crying. Probably because it looked like her poor dragon was put through a paper shredder. Ew. Oh, well I should probably comfort her. But not now. What else did I hear? I pointed my ears out, refining the noises I heard. Ahri...crying? Hmm...I'd have to check up on her later... What was that! I heard her. Where did it come from?! Silently, I tiptoed across the floorboards to listen closer...I heard...soft breathing. Not hitched and sickeningly sweet like Ahri's. Not quick and light like Avi's. It was...soft. And...and...it was... Pure. THAT'S IT. I ran as fast as I could towards the noise. Flinging open James's door, there she was, calmly sleeping. So little and pretty, but such a powerful lie inside her imagination. Throwing my hands on her, I jostled her awake. She opened her eyes and glared at me. "Aw c'mon. I was having a good dream." "Sorry. But no time for that! Is it true you think I am a vampire!" She nodded. "And how many people did you tell!" "James." I sighed in relief. "So, no one else thinks I'm a vampire?" "I don't think so." "Okay good...because I'll have you know I am NOT a vampire." Not even close. "Really?" I'm something much worse. "Of course I'm not a vampire. My transformations around dragons aren't of that nature." I'm your worst nightmare. Smiling happily, I sighed. "Glad we cleared that up. Sorry for waking you. Go back to bed." But, it DID leave to wonder...wouldn't the others find out who I was, really? I never told them my third and fourth form. My first one's a bunny. My second one's a girl. And my third and fourth...well it began to be obvious. I just hoped no one was intelligent enough to notice... Whenever anyone encountered Talon, it was obvious that I was slightly different afterwards. After all, that's why I've been wearing long sleeves lately. Talon possessed a dragon. James sliced its right shoulder with his cat claws. So...I'm hoping no one noticed the deep red claw-scars I have on my right shoulder. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV I walk into the room with a box of crayons to draw the little egg. Then I see James and the dragon. I throw the crayon box at this face ( ) and I kick him in the chest. I peck him then grab my baby dragon and run to my room. I lock my door and push my bed in front of it. well part of my bed. "Peregrine? please oh please revive him!" A tear rolls down my cheek and I silently curse at James. I'm with Alice now, I HATE him. I make a tiny to do list 1. Throw rocks at James 2. attack James 3. Insult James 4. Taunt James 5. Avenge Spark ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE'S POV After my conversation with Alice, I realized I wasn't in my room. I was in JAMES' room. My memory was very fuzzy... I couldnt become closer to James. I COULDN'T. I did all I could think to do. I jumped out the window, and screamed for Chives. He came instantly, picked me up, and ran. I started to cry. About 3 miles away from the house, Chives set me down. I was sobbing by then. "My True One... He is there..." I managed to say between my sobs. Chives didn't need to hear any more. He carried me to a big tree, and me on his lap. I fell asleep with his protective arms around me. I love my brother. I had so many dream. But one of them... I was in the house. James was in the living room, looking for me. "James..." I whispered. Then the scary part. He looked directly at me. "Pure! Are you a... Ghost?" he said. "Help..." I whispered, the dream fading. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV Today was it. The dragon migration. I could feel my whole body tingling with anxiety. Avi was being her normal self. She was bounding around, babbling about the migration and how excited she was to watch it, even though her precious little Sparky was ripped to shreds. She glared at James momentarily. Instinctively, my hand flew up to the scars on my shoulder, which were fading already. Creatures like me heal quickly. We all gathered by the fireplace, and Ahri set a canopy of glowing green light over us. Immediately, we were transported to a prime viewing center: Colli's mansion on top of a six thousand foot high mountain. It was secluded, behind a forest and before a dry woods. We sat in chairs in the front and waited. Purity kept sneaking worried glances at me. It was relieving, how she didn't think I was a vampire. But I knew she knew I was different. She knew I was more than just a bunny. More than just a girl. Avi was talking about the kinds of dragons we would see. She pored over dragon books for the last week, and knew everything about the migration. First, they would all roar, as sort of a role call. They all needed to know that they all were there, before the migration began. First the Slovakian Wedgehead dragon, then the Circula Sugartongue, followed by the Rumblehorn, Korean Elegance, and finally, last but certainly not least, was the all-powerful Platinara dragon. The Platinara was the most powerful. She was never born. Platinaras were spawned from each other. One Platinara would die, and from its body would rise a young, smart, strong Platinara dragon. All Platinaras were females. Platinaras, in fact, were also the dragon that evil or good spirits took the form of most easily. Like Talon. Soon we heard the first dragon roar. Deep. Rumbling. There was the Slovakian Wedgehead. Then a sweet, sugar-sticky call. The Circula Sugartongue. A funny, vibrating roar. The Rumblehorn. A melodious, beautiful, almost musical call. The Korean Elegance. Everyone waited for the call of the Platinara. I knew it would never come...unless I did something. Avi wore a worried look. "Where's the call of the Platinara? She should be last." I breathed in deeply. Goodbye family. Goodbye house. Goodbye everyone, because you'll all hate me after this. "I have a quick announcement...although it's rather important..." my words shook on every syllable. "I am not who you think I am. As far as I'm concerned, everyone here besides Purity thinks I am a cute little bunny girl, someone who wears a lot of black and pink and never bends the rules." Everyone turned to stare at Purity, curious as to what she knew about me. "Some of you probably think I'm a vampire, because of how I acted towards the dragon egg. As you know, that little transformation I had will magnify two thousand times when I come in contact with a real dragon." "But I'm not afraid of dragons like I claim. In fact...I'll fill you in about Platinara dragon. It's supposed to roar last. It's supposed to have a double edge to its roar. One voice should be high, and sweet. Like a melody. The other voice should be low, rumbling, scratchy and metallic." Everyone gasped at this realization. My voice turned exactly like that description. "And one more thing...Platinaras are easily possessed. They have a fluid in them that good or bad spirits can easily enter. Like Peregrine." I paused. "Or Talon." Their eyes widened. "So back to the point...we know that James recently slashed Avi's small dragon which had just hatched." Avi wailed. "But does anyone know why he did so?" They all shook their heads. "That baby dragon was a Platinara. It was possessed by Talon." A moment of clarity sunk in. "And in the meantime, James turned into a cat and slashed the dragon's arm. Specifically her right shoulder. He left three long claw scars. How do I know this, you ask?" I inhaled. This was it. I rolled up my sleeve and showed the eager audience my right shoulder: equipped with three long scars, fading, but still prominent. The audience gasped and Ahri leapt up. "Who are you, Alice?!" She demanded. "I'm afraid only time will tell." I gave her a small half-smile and looked towards the clouds. I kept my friends waiting long enough. I ripped out of my human form, head morphing, legs lengthening, body thickening. My back arched as huge, black wings exploded from them. My eyes turned crimson red, and small fangs came from my mouth. Fangs fit for a dragon. My skin toughened, turning different shades of black and silver. Some scales were mirrors, reflecting and refracting light everywhere. I heard everyone gasp as they saw the innocent little bunny explode into the fearsome, frightening yet beautiful, five thousand tonne, fire breathing, dragon ringleader... "Platinara." Avi whispered. I let the Platinara call rip from my throat. Before I left, I called to the others in my half-metallic, half-twinkling voice: "Stay away. I am a dangerous beast...I am not the Alice you love." "My name is Princess Talinella, I am the Dark Princess." I paused. "But most people know me as Talon, for short." And with that, I flew off the mountain, I went to join my dragon friends... But left my family behind ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV I saw Alice fly away. "Will she come back?" I ask. "I think so" Colli said. without anyone noticing, I threw a rock at James. "ow" "SSHUSH UP" "I miss her already. But what kind of dragon," I stopped and glared at James, " Was Sparky?" I hope Eregrine Revives Sparky... after we come back I run into my room to check on the little dragon. There was a faint glow and...and.. HIS BREATHING STARTED AGAIN! yes yes yes! Peregrine is he best! I know what I would have to do when he wakes up again, and after he heals. I close my door, and come out again. I was a little bit happier with James. SO I walk about with a sharpie marker behind my back. "James? Can I play with you?" I ask, sounding cute. "Only if you don't throw rocks at me." "Okay!" I grin, he doesn't know what I'm gonna do. I walk up to him then jump on his back and scribble on his face. "REVENGE MURDERER! REVENGE!!!" I screech back at him. I think I saw Colli lol at him. I dash into my room and check on him. I watch him for a few minutes, then he opens his eyes. "It's a miracle! I owe you Peregrine!" I pick him up, (gently) he still his sounds. Trrrrrr I run down the stairs. "Guys! GUYYS!!!!!"I scream with delight. "What? what is it?" They all ask I hold out the still injured Sparky. "Peregrine did it! she did it!" I tell them. "But we need one thing, some sort of spell that keeps evil out of him. We don't want some jerk killing him. Again. Then we have to release him. Is it possible to get Alice to bring him to the other dragons?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COLI'S POV After I watched my bunny fly away, I knew what had to happen. when we got home, Ahri had give me the encyclopedia on dragons, seeing the migration was earlier. I scrolled through, passing oddly named dragons. Pictures littered each page, showing male, female, young, and adult. soon I came up to the "P" dragons. Plum Scaled dragon, Plithera (lol random) dragon and, coming up to the last and shortest entry of the section, Platinara. 'The Platinara is elusive and usually does not reveal itself to anyone. Platinum colored scales gleam brightly and can blind you when in the sun. It can get very close to its family and will protect them at all cost.' That was all I dared to read. Studying the pictures, I notice that the teenage picture looked like Alice. a tear rolled down my cheek onto the picture. Footsteps came near, and looking up, it was Purity. I shakily stood up and just hugged her. "I want Alice to come back. I want her to come back!" More tears came out and everything blurred around me. purity stroked my head and soothed me. "She'll come back Colli. Don't worry. I'm sure she will." Continually stroking my head, I started falling asleep to the sound of her voice. "Alice will come back Colli. She will." In my dream, I saw Alice by the fireplace in the library, crouched. "ALICE! Oh I missed you so much Alice!" I screamed and ran towards her. Suddenly she turned into a dragon and breathed fire at me. "AHHH! No Alice, I'm your sister!" In a voice like the dragon call, she had said meanly, "No you aren't." Burns were all over my arms and my hair was singed. Tears streamed down, bringing relief to my arms. Then, the Alice dragon flew off, leaving me in darkness that had oddly replaced the room. Later, I woke up in my bed with tears streaming down. It was so real. Maybe, maybe that was how she felt. I felt my arms. No burns, but they were terribly sore like Avi pecked me a billion times. I smiled for a second, hearing Avi say Sparks, as I. called him, was revived by Peregrine. Avi was lucky. She had a good spirit that could probably protect her. Realizing a book was on the ground, pages up, I picked it up, flipping it closed to the cover. "Secret Dragon Encyclopedia". Gasping, I realized what this could do. Maybe this could help find Alice! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV I really missed Alice. I made Ahri watch Sparky. And. Climbed on the roof, I cried my eyes out and stopped with a sniffle. "Why did she have to go? To get my dragon back I had to lose family?" I see someone below, and I check to see who it is. It's not our family. it's a boy who is around 11. He has black hair are amber eyes. "Who are you?" "My name is Aaron." He replies. "What is your name?" "Avi." Ahri comes out with Sparky to see who I'm talking to. "Who is this?" she asks ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV The five of us flew in lively chatter. I missed these four dragons so much! It was great to see them. I flew in the front, with the others flanking my left and right. Directly to my right, my best friend, the Korean Elegance. Her name was Cho, and she was the most beautiful out of all of us. We caught up with each other, chatting and poking fun at how much weight we had gained. I loved her like a sister, she was like...like... Family. That word pinged in my head. What was it about that? I didn't know why it dinged in the back of my mind, but I'll hold onto it. To my left, the Circula Sugartongue. Ariana. She was sweet and pretty, with a slim figure and pinkish scales. She was my OTHER best friend, if you will. We talked about the male dragons behind us under our breath, all the latest gossip, etc. Ariana was like the girly girl I went to. Behind Cho was the Slovakian Wedgehead. Jack. He was the heartthrob amongst us, with iridescent black and green scales and slim, playing eyes. Behind Ariana was the Rumblehorn, the jokester of our group. His name was Skeeter. He had big green eyes and reddish orange scales. He had a funny, lopsided smile and a booming laugh and roar. I loved them so much. As the ringleader of our group, I was expected to fly us to our dragon world, FantasyLand. It was a place where all the mythical creatures could reside. My thoughts wandered. I couldn't wait to get home...all five of us shared an enormous lair, carved from a mountain. My room was plush with pink and black. Pink and black. Pink and black. Why was that echoing in my head...? I looked down and saw a pink ribbon on my front right limb. What was that? I untied the ribbon and held it out in front of me. Telling the other dragons to halt, I loitered there, and watched the fabric. Miraculously, clean black cursive letters began scribbling themselves across the ribbon. Reading it to myself, my eyes widened in shock. "Don't forget about us, Alice." Alice. Why was that name so familiar? Suddenly, a tsunami of memories crashed unto me. Two fox girls smiling down at me. Who were they...it was...Ahri! And Colli! A little bird girl peered over her shoulder, looking for wings. Was that...it was Avi! A few boys laughed together. Who were they? I remembered Mason and James...but who was that last one? A tear splashed down my cheek, remembering them. My friends. My family. Cho looked back at me. "Talon, you alright?" She called back. "I-I-I-I have a story to tell you guys. What I did before the migration." And so I told them a magnificent tale... A tale of foxes and shape shifters and bird girls and a bunny girl named Alice... Talon. Alice. They listened in awe as I told them a story of my family. "How are you remembering all this?" Ariana asked me in awe. "I keep refreshing the memory." I responded. "I hate to rain on your parade..." Jack began, his icy blue eyes piercing my heart. "But once you enter FantasyLand, all your humanoid memories will vanish." I was lost in his eyes, and I pouted. "I don't know. All I know is that I have to see them again..." "And when will that be?" He asked coolly. "Next year, maybe? The next migration I'll go see them." And for a few minutes, we flew next to each other, before Cho swatted him away so she and I could talk. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EMMA'S POV After all the drama with Alice, the entire house was sad. Except for Pure's brother, Chives. He was so mysterious, but I was strangely attracted to him. Tonight, tonight, I'm sleeping in the forest. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

AHRI'S POV
What a shame, i was getting REALLY attatched to little sparky, but i knew it would be alot of trouble, i already have too many mouths to feed... but avi loved him more. she didnt have to take care of him, he was going to be her best friend! I thought about my priorities. Avi crying, James standing there, Alice running up the stairs, and pure being dragged away by chives. i choode pure, and i gave emma a look suggesting she had better come with me. I strode over and grabbed pure's hand, as emma grabbed chive's shoulder. "Excuse me chives, but where do you think you are going with MY child?" I said protectively "YOUR child? YOU didnt give birth to her. YOU didnt take care of her until our city in the sky fell" he replied angrily. "But I TOOK CARE of her when she was cast out of the world. abandoned by her own kind, not even going out of their way to find her!" my tails whipped around angrilly, and my orb summoned by my other hand. it was glowing deep red, angry. and looking for blood. "Oh, so you want to scrap MUTT?" he sneered at me "I Dont think you want to take your chances with me, CHIVES. and i dont think Emma wants to either." I gave a glance at emma, waving her off. She grabbed pure, who looked conflicted, and walked away. Poor pure, she is mature but its hard for anybody to go through this. "So what do you want to do BOTTOMFEEDER?" his stance looking ready to fight. i stayed calm, and i replied. "If you want to fight, you are sealing your own fate. but can we not do this in here? if the house gets messed up i am using your insurance money to pay for it." he sneered and walked outside, ready to fight. i wondered how i would do this, both pure AND Emma would be heartbroken if i killed him, i will have to leave him alive enough to get back to his home. I walked out with my orb floating behind me. "Would you like to make the first move chives? i want you to have a bit of an advantage against me, dont want it being too easy do we?" he was holding a greatsword. it was quite big and impressive, a fine weapon! probably cost alot of money to make, and to buy, its a shame he wont get to use it in this fight.
My orb turned pink, and formed a heart shape, i threw it at him. when it hit, he staggered back a bit, and started walking twords me, entranced with deep love for me. I Made my fox fires rotate around me and rushed to his side, one of my fox fires hit him, and he got hit by my dash magic. He got out of the trance as i dashed above him, another fox fire hit him, and the dash magic hit him once more. i threw my orb at him from above, and dashed to the ground behind him. my last fox fire and dash magic hit him, and he fell as the orb hit him on its way back. This all happened in about 5 seconds. i DID warn him of my power... he was on the ground, still alive, but alive enough to speak. I looked over, and i saw colli. looking breath taken at the show of skill i displayed. "Colli? can you please help me patch him up? i need him to get back to his tribe and tell the rest of his kind that pure is OURS. and we wont give her up without a fight." Colli took a second to get over to us, and my orb turned green as it healed him. i let her perform the medical treatments that magic could not. snapping his bones back into place so they didnt mend crooked and such. "Why..are you healing me?..." he rasped in a hoarse voice. "Because if i killed you pure would NEVER forgive me." i replied. and added emma in my own head with a hint of smugness "And we also need you to tell your tribe that pure will only come back on her free will, and that we will not give her up without a fight, and that was just ME alone, you are very lucky i didnt kill you, i have always wanted to taste a bit of siren soul..." When he was fully healed, he got up and gave me a look of trepidation, "You are allowed to visit" colli said, "We do not mean war with your people" she gave him a smile, no flirtatiousness intended. even SHE knew that he was emma's. I Gave him a little hug, to tell him that no hard feelings were intended. and to my suprise, he returned it too. after he left i looked over at the house, and i saw emma's furious jealousy burning through the window and giggled to myself. "Colli, can you please tell her that i did not mean to flirt with him?" i said smiling. "why cant you tell her?" Colli asked. "I dont think i can go near her without risking my life, i dont think even I can take down emma when shes mad..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE'S POV
I woke up in a cold sweat. "Chives, could yo-" I started. "Chives?! Where are you?!?" I shouted. He LEFT me. Alone. At this point, I realized leaving was a mistake. I started to run back home to find Chives, and James. I arrived at the front door, exhausted. After I caught my breath, I saw blood on the ground. Chives' blood. "No. NO!" I cried, starting to cry. A heard footsteps, and the door unlock and open. Then, standing in the doorway, guess who i saw? James. He had a pack with supplies in it. I was filled with relief. Without hesitating, I walked over and put my head on his shoulder. "Pure... Pure, its ok. You are ok. Chives is here. He had a fight with Ahri, but he is fine. I was just going to go look for you. Shhh... Everything is ok..." he whispered soothingly. With his arm wrapped tightly around me, he walked me up to Chives. He was in my room, on my bed. "Pure!" Ahri, Emma, and Coli called. Then ran over for a hug, but I didn't even look at them. "I'm... I'm sorry, Pure. I didn't mean harm..." Ahri stuttered. "It's ok Ahri. As long as Chives is ok, it is ok" I said. But... It wasn't ok. I doubt Ahri and I would be the same. I realized something. I LIED. I just lied. Being with James is depleting my pureness, but I don't care. He is my True One. Chives sat up, and I shook my head. I sat next to him, and wrapped my arms around his neck. "You need to stop getting yourself into trouble." I said to him while laugh-crying. "Ok, everyone. I need to tell you some things." I told my family. I told them about me, about my kingdom, how it fell, and about my True One. And that my True One was James. They all seemed accepting. "We have something to say too." Coli said to me. She told me about everything. Alice, the dragon, Talon. Everything. I was shocked. "I... I need a moment." I stuttered. I ran outside. James was close behind me. I sat down on the ground, and fought back tears. I have been crying a lot lately... Suddenly, two tall men wearing animal skin clothing walked over. "Hello, Purity." one of them said. The other picked me out, and hoisted me over his shoulder. I kicked and punched them, but it was like they were made of iron. I couldn't hurt them. "You are coming with us." the one not carrying me said. "We can't kill you, or permanently damage you, but you still feel pain." "NO!" James screamed, turning into a lion. The whole family was outside in no time, trying to stop the men. The last thing I remember is the men running away, faster then humanly possible, and James' blue eyes. Then they knocked me out. Always his eyes. Always. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ AHRI'S POV
I Watched, as they carried away purity, and i heard their intentions to cause pain to her with my sensitive fox ears. "DAMNIT!! DAMNIT, DAMNIT, DAMMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT!!!!!!!" I yelled out in anger, stamping my foot down and almost vibrating with frustration "I JUST got her back! i almost killed her brother to get her back! DAMNIT!!!" angry tears were streaming down their face as i started to run, i had to catch up with james. i will N0T let them take one of my children away. my mother turtle instincts triggered, and i pushed past everyone else as they tried to stop me. My form changed, my hair turned a deep crimson color, my eyes glowed orange, my tails seemed to be made of fire. i was suddenly not just ahri, i was a fireball, burning hot, determined to save pure. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
WE'RE HERE!
FantasyLand!
I'm so excited to be home!!!
Home.
Hmm. That word pings a bell in me...no matter.
It's odd how with time passing, the memories faded into the dust...
Oh, did I mention I'm the overseer, ruler, and Princess of FantasyLand? Hah, must have forgotten.
Cho flew up beside me.
"Feels great to be home, doesn't it! Come back to the den, we're all going to celebrate."
"Dangit, I can't. I have to wrap up some work..." I muttered.
Cho scrunched up her long, elegant snout. "Well come quick, we'll wait."
"Thanks." I beamed at her and flew to my castle in the clouds.
I talked to my castle assistants, reviewing what happened while I was gone. There were new twinkling lights set up in the town square. Down in Dreamy Street there was a new statue of me erected. All the subjects were living happily and peacefully, just the way I liked it.
My good friend and right hand assistant, Vi, called to me, "You've been missed, your highness." And gave me a light punch on my front right leg.
I jetted out of the castle, not forgetting the others back in the den. But as I was flying, I noticed a pink ribbon on my leg. Spinning to untie it, I pulled it off and unrolled it. Much to my surprise, a familiar cursive scrawl began appearing on the ribbon, like a scroll.
Don't forget about us, Alice. ~Ahri
Alice.
Alice.
It hit me like a brick, knocking the wind out of me...and again, memories came. But they vanished as soon as I thought about them. I felt my mind stretch, my thoughts contort from all the memories floating away into the vast void of never to be seen again.
And as soon as I was drained, the pink ribbon exploded into...into...
A cute white bunny.
Gasping in shock, I let the bunny fall.
Two thousand feet.
Grappling for the bunny, I saw that it disappeared. In a cloud of pink, glittery smoke. I felt the bunny leave, teleport to another place. I felt it leave FantasyLand and go somewhere safe.
Somewhere home.
I felt a girl pick up the bunny, and hope that it was Alice...but cry and let it go.
Who was that girl? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COLI'S POV
As I watched the fireball-Ahri- speed away after Purity, I knew I needed to do something. And I think Sparky could help. "Avi!" I yell, diverting her attention from the running figures on the distant snowy hill. She hopped over to me, Sparky trrrrrring all the time. Almost like he was talking, I thought, smiling. "What's up Colli?" Wrenching myself from my thoughts, I say, "I need you to help me-and I'll need Sparky." I explain to her how I need her to help me perform a spell, and how it would help us get Purity back. A few seconds later I prepare the spell. Avi, even though she was a novice at magic-so am I-, I had her help. "Soooo." I had said. "Can Sparks make fire yet? Breathe it on command?" Avi didn't really know what to do when I asked that. So I carried on with the spell. "One. Two. Three." I start muttering magical incantations and so did AVi. Soon we said it louder, so people who hadn't chased after Purity joined in. "Ignite, ignite, shoot out fire. Aim it at our mark. Hit it at the two black men, Go make a spark!" I know, I know, really weird. I thought so too, even though I slightly made it up. But it was working, and I could see Sparky letting out some fire, straight for the two men with Purity. Soon a flame thrower shot out, straight across the trail the men had left while melting snow. We all saw it race across the hills, until we heard a "OWCH!" We were walking along the trail the fire left behind, when we saw Ahri coming back with a tired-looking Purity. She smiled weakly, and was leaning against Ahri. Emma quickly helped her, and we were soon at the house, accompanied by a now sleepy dragon. Avi put him on her shoulders, and raced to her room to put him to sleep. Everyone's eyes were shaded with worry, no matter how happy they let on. Purity wouldn't answer any questions about what had happened, no matter how stupid or trivial. I was leaning on the mossy table, playing with some moss. After the men had appeared, I had felt very odd. I couldn't feel my ears, my tail, arms, nothing. I didn't feel as if I was there. Felt like a ghost. I knew I wasn't though, but something strange was going on. If Purity couldn't tell what happened publicly, maybe she could tell it secretly. To me, at least. I needed to know what happened. Purity would know what was happening to me, I know it. When we had all settled down to sleep, I whispered, "Purity? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
I arrived at our shared den, still shaky from the pink ribbon incident moments ago.
We were all supposed to be in human form in the den, so at the mouth of the cave, I transformed into my familiar bunny girl.
Everyone was laughing and chatting when I came in, and cheers erupted from everyone as I came into the room.
"What did I miss?" I smiled happily, trying to erase the memories of that pink ribbon...and bunny.
"Nothing much." Jack came close and swung his arm over my shoulders. This was odd, like we were lovers. I don't know, I liked it.
Coolly, almost nonchalantly, Jack asked me to be his girlfriend, on the spot. It was shocking, to hear him say that so abruptly. So out of the blue. But I was thrilled, and said yes, of course.
Jack was overwhelmingly attractive in his human form. Heck, he was hot. He was cool not only in behavior but in looks. He had a tall, slim build, perfect for a little short girl like me. His hair was white-blond and he hated haircuts, so he kept it long, swooping just over his eyes. Speaking of eyes, his were blue. Pale, icy blue. His lips were thin and pale, but curled up in a seductive, impish smirk. He was so cocky, but that's what made him Jack.
I conformed to his hold, slipping my hand around his waist. Cho and Ariana raised their eyebrows at me and Jack, after squealing about our new relationship. Skeeter blushed red. We were all half-human half-animal when we turned into human form. For instance, I was a bunny girl. It so happened to be that Jack was a bunny as well...more so a rabbit with long, pale gray ears. He wasn't cute at all, though...he was hotter, his eyes half-closed in a lazy eye smile.
Jack began playing with one of my curled black pigtails, but frowned.
"Who was that guy you kissed earlier?"
A web of confusion coated my expression.
"What?"
"That guy. You know. I almost killed him because I thought he was a poacher, but you said stop. And you swooped down, turned into a girl, and kissed him."
None of this was in my memory.
I bopped Jack's nose. "Are you sure this happened?"
"Positive. The others saw it too."
Just to be sure, I hummed a small tune. At the sound of it, my handheld mirror came to me. I asked it to show me what Jack was talking about, and there I was, a look of worry across my eyes. I leaned down and kissed a guy. What the?! Who was this guy?!
My mouth formed a tiny "o" in surprise.
"I don't remember any of this. I don't know who that guy is..."
I wrinkled my nose and touched my lip. "It's weird, not remembering kissing someone."
Jack smiled down at me. He said, "Well you'll remember this one." And kissed me there. Cho and Ariana about died...my cheeks burned pink, Skeeter awkwardly stood there, as if he was a piece of furniture.
I tried to forget about the mysterious kiss.
My heart beat for Jack now. But something told me to remember that guy...
I couldn't remember his name.
But something told me to remember him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

MASON'S POV
I will never fall for Ahri's deceiving, flirtatious powers ever again. She messed with my mind once, and I made sure its impossible for such things to repeat themselves. I returned to the home after being gone for 24 days. nearly a month, and no one seemed to care! Nobody except James, who brought me home after he found me out cold in the unforgiving snow. The frost blanketing my face, he rushed me back. You may blame it on me being hungry, or dehydrated, but the dragons left enough scraps for me to rummage through and eat as much as I wanted. I melted some snow under the fire for me to drink. So why did I pass out you ask? I found exactly what I needed to surpass Ahri's magic. While gazing through her mind, I found her weakness. I found if I ate this special flower, that most people avoid to to the fact that eating it causes instant paralysis, you will be immune to her deceptive magic. If i was to return to the house, I HAD to do it. I wasn't going to risk being deceived again. Before I ate the dangerous vegetation, I did something special. something only my brother could ever understand. I used my powers to make lightning strike 1,2,3 miles away from the house. I then lit a fire, that made plenty of smoke. i ate the flower, and let James do the rest. I was at the home. being awakened by even more newcomers, Chives and Emma. The ones my brother and I must avoid... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EMMA'S POV
I saw Mason come home covered in frost. I didn't even realize he was gone. Oh well, I'll apologize to him later. After I had gone hunting, I felt much better. My eyes no longer glowed red, and I could breathe straight. I found chives in the forest on my way home. He was tracking something. He still looked a little beat up from when Ahri taught him a lesson. When I said I could heal him, he refused. I frowned. I followed him for a little bit, But when he started to shake from exhaustion, I told him he had to go home. While we walked home, he had to lean on me. I said nothing, on the inside I was smiling. When we got into the foyer, I smelled mason and James. Ah. They can help me. I didn't think that chives would listen. For me to have him go to bed. I couldn't smell pure anywhere. "James, can you come down here?" I don't think I've ever talked around chives before. He stared in aw at me when I talked. I wonder why. When James came down, chives just stares at him. When James waled up to help me carry chives up the stairs, he slapped James! Then James made a mistake. He punched Chives in the gut. He dubbed over, they passed out. I snarled. James backed up, knowing the mistake he had just made. I gently laid Chives down on the ground, then ran around James in a circle. Once I had confused him, I slapped his face. He fell to the ground unconious. I knew pure would never forgive me for killing him. So I just drank enough blood of his to have the same amount of his strength, then used it to get chives up the stairs into purse room. She still wasn't there, so I layedchives down on her bed. I then healed him, but I was exhausted after the healing. I tried to make it down stairs to wake up James, but I collapsed halfway there. I fell down the stairs and hit my head on the wood banister. Everything went black. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE'S POV
I woke up in James' room. Again. I tried to sit up, but I had a pounding headache. "Ugh. This will take a while to heal" I mumbled. "Pure?" James called from the hallway, "Are you awake?" "Yeah..." I said. James ran in the room, badly bruised. "Oh my god... What happened to you?" I said to him, shocked. "Your kidnappers sure put up a fight. Everyone used fire spells, and well... I got hit by one" James said. He sat on the edge of the bed. "Where? Who hit you?" I asked. "Um, Ahri did. But she doesn't know she hit me. She is mad enough at herself, no need to make her feel worse. It's on my shoulder. I was a bear, and I tried to attack the men. Pure... They got away. And they know where you live now. You need to be extra careful." he told me. "Lemme see," I said, pulling his arm closer. I rolled up his sleeve and gasped. It was bad. Definitely infected. "You HAVE to tell Ahri. This could kill you. You... you can't die." I cried. James said, "No... I can no-" "AHRI!!!!" I screamed. "HELP!" James shook his head, and laughed. Brushing back my hair, he said "A bit overprotective" Ahri zoomed inside. "Pure, ohmigosh, and you ok?" she worried. "I'm ok, but James isn't. You hit him with a fire spell" I told her. "IDIOT. I'M AN GODDAMNED IDIOT." I screamed, "I can't believe how STUPID I am!" "I. Don't. Care. FIX HIM" I shouted, starting to cry. "Shh... Pure calm down... I'm fine..." James said. His face was pale. I felt his forehead. "James, you are burning up. Lie down." I commanded. I scooted over, and James sat next to me. "Ok. This will take a few days, and it will hurt. My fire spells are meant to kill." Ahri said. I buried my head in James' chest, and he put his good arm tightly around me. Ahri started to clean out the wound, and James was clearly in a lot of pain. He held me tighter. After around an hour, Ahri left, so James could prepare for the next round of healing. I went to get water, when james pulled me back down. "Stay. Please." he managed to say. So I did. We lay there for around 10 mins before I fell asleep.
I awoke the next day still in James' arms. Ahri came back in and brought us breakfast. "I'll do another round." Ahri said. It was like that for 3 days. James never let go of me. The days were long, and painful. The nights were cold, and peaceful. I realized in those 3 days that I unconditionally loved James. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE'S POV
"Where is Chives?" I asked James after he was recovered. "Umm... I'll show you" James said. He walked me to my room, where I saw a badly injured Chives laying on my bed. "Chiivveess. You need to stop getting in trouble! I don't like blood stains on my bed." I told him, giggling. I knew Chives was fine, because although he could feel pain, he healed VERY quickly, and could never die because he was immortal.
"Ahri?" I said. "Yeah?" She replied "Since Alice is... well... gone.... could Chives stay in her bed?" I asked "Sure, whatever" she replied.
ROOM SETUP Three Rooms Room 1- James, Mason, Chives (used to be Alice) Room 2-Pure, and Avi (Only has two people because a part of the room is cut off with the chimney) Room 3- Emma, Coli, and Ahri ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE'S POV
I was walking downstairs with James, when I saw Emma. Laying on the stairs. Passed out. On a WOODEN BEAM. Oh crap.
An hour later, Emma was in her room slowly waking up. Ahri was asleep. "FAMILY MEETING!" I called. Everyone that was in the house came into the room. "Look at Ahri. She is completely overworked. We have to stop getting hurt," I told them. "Yeah..." Ahri muttered, then continued snoring. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EMMA'S POV
When I woke up again, I was in my bed. I had a lump on my forehead, and my head was spinning. I couldn't breathe. I reached under my bed and grabed a key. I went over to a hole in the wall, and inserted the key. It turened. My head started to spin, I needed blood. There was a boy, about 17, lying in the room. I pressed a button in the wall, and a plate of food and drink came up from a platform in the floor. I drank some of the kid’s blood, then kissed him on the cheek. Its okay Cal, you are in a better place now. I’ll introduce you to my family soon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
It seemed like while since we arrived in FantasyLand.
Jack and I were happily still together.
Cho and Ariana both found loves of their own, who I approved of.
Now and then, my mirror floated to my side and I asked it to show me memories. It normally showed me pictures of Jack, Cho, Ariana, and Skeeter. Pictures of me ruling FantasyLand. Me and Jack together, when he first asked me out. Me and Cho gossiping, then calling Ariana to come join us.
But sometimes it showed me memories that I didn't recognize. Memories of girls with fox ears. Memories of bird girls and dragons. Memories of two brothers...one was a tiger, and the other was an animagus. Memories I wasn't familiar with.
But the mirror never lied, so I assumed them to be true. I assumed them to be simple memories that I had forgotten in the time I was in FantasyLand. I shrugged them off...I had a notorious habit of forgetting things.
I had been working on beauty lately. I was trying to be cuter than ever. I once spent fifteen minutes in the mirror perfecting my smile, trying to adjust the way my mouth moved for maximum cute factor. I needed to portray a good image. After all, I ruled a whole world in the palm of my hand. Not to boast but the people thought of me as a good ruler, and I tried to keep that up.
Smooth skin. Glowing eyes. Confident expression.
I liked all of this to add to the image I was a confident girl and leader.
That night, as I sat in bed, I decided I should pay a visit to the Spirit Land. Ii was the Princess of Spirit Land. Calling my magic mirror, I asked it to take me to spirit land. Immediately it expanded to a full-length mirror, then morphed into a glowing blue portal. Stepping through, I felt my body suck into a space of nothing as I was transported to the Spirit Land: a huge multiverse where spirits like me (Talon) could mingle with the other spirits.
Stepping on the red path trimmed with gold, I walked around the Spirit City, a calm, serene, city with shops and restaurants and kiosks all around. I stopped by Merlina's Ice Cream, my favorite ice cream parlor. Merlina was at the counter and she beamed when she saw me. "Hey, Tal!" She called out.
I grinned. "I'm great, Lina! How are you? Long time no see."
"I know. I'm fine. What can I get you?" She smiled, even though she knew perfectly well what I wanted.
"I'll take the usual."
"One scoop mint cookie crush, one scoop valentine raspberry, one scoop triple fudge dutch chocolate?" She grinned.
I laughed. "You know it."
She scooped up my ice cream and gave it back.
"That'll be one bottle of Fire Resistance II." In Spirit Land, we used potions, enchantments, and spells as currency.
I gaped at her.
"Fire Resistance II?!" Lina snickered.
"Just kidding. Take the dang ice cream and get out of here."
I stuck my tongue out at her and left.
Licking my ice cream, I strolled around, enjoying the familiar streets. I waved hello to the people I knew, and smiled at the people who I didn't know, but for some odd reason knew me.
I walked down to the subway station. Unlike other subway stations on Earth, Spirit Land subway stations were clean, always had fresh paint, had reliable, trustworthy snack stands, and smelled fragrant and clean. They were a great place to have a cup of coffee. In fact, although it seems odd, there were little coffee tables set up everywhere. That's how clean it was. The subways weren't even that noisy, it was almost like white noise.
I was still craving ice cream, so I ordered a chocolate milkshake, which was oddly enough served at the coffee shop. The girl working the counter was about my age, with black cat ears and pin-straight red hair. Her nametag read "CHERRY". I payed her in one spell of wisdom, made to last for an hour. She seemed nice enough, but I soon was proved wrong. She called out to my back,
"Hello, Princess Talinella."
I whirled around. Whoever called me by my full name either didn't know me well enough, or was trying to annoy me.
But it was neither of those. Cherry's big eyes had turned lime green. Her figure lengthened to a graceful, curved shape. Her coffee shop uniform ripped off to reveal an earthy green dress. Her hair melted off and was replaced with flowing brown locks, curled to dozens of ringlets.
She seemed nice, peaceful, and good.
All that was a lie.
"Hello, Princess Peregrine."
Peregrine was the princess of the Dark Spirit Land. She existed to haunt things. She had the ability to heal anything, and looked sweet and friendly, but all that was a mask she wore to conceal what was underneath: a cruel, cold woman who wanted to cause pain in the world. Peregrine gained the trust of children, healing their pets and giving them temporary good advice...but as soon as they threw themselves into her arms, she slowly and painfully began to haunt them. The worst part, she had the ability to shape shift, and she commonly shifted into a form that looked like me.
That's why everyone thought Talon was a bad creature.
I smoothed my bunny ears.
"What do you want, Peregrine."
Her cold, doll-like eyes shone in a false, cruel smile. "Just swung by your half of Spirit Land to say hi."
"You know you're not welcome in the good half."
She wore a look of false innocence. "But, we are friends, aren't we? Friends would cross any boundary to see each other."
I growled in the back of my throat. "Get out of here, Peregrine." Quickly, I called my mirror to my side and had it light some magic orbs on fire. I held them floating in the air, threatening to use them.
Simply and just as quickly, Peregrine called her own mirror (a black, broken copy of mine) and called the same, flaming orbs.
Not wanting to frighten any passerbys, I glared and set out the orb.
"Not here. Not now."
"So be it. I've got better things to do."
Curiosity got the best of me. "Like what?" I spat.
"I've been seeing this bird-girl for her whole life. And I'm about to make her whole world crumble."
Glaring with fiery eyes, I asked, "How so?"
"Well first I'm going to kill her pet dragon. Again." She ticked off a finger on her left hand.
She glanced at me. "Did I mention it's a Platinara?"
I scoffed. "Impossible. The next Platinara will only be born when I die."
She smiled cruelly. "Unless it's a clone. From the Dark Spirit Land."
Gasping quickly, I reset my poker face. "Just get out of here." I spat.
"So be it." She grinned.
"Cherry Albus, come back!" She screamed, and her figure plumped up slightly. Her hair brightened to the old red shade, and cat ears popped up. Her coffee girl uniform materialized out of thin air on her body, and a rill of freckles dotted her face.
She looked confused and lost.
She opened her mouth, like she was trying to say something. I ran to her aid, to comfort her. Being possessed is no fun thing. It drains you.
But when she spoke, it was as if nothing happened.
"I'm sorry, did I add the whipped cream in your milkshake?"
With great effort, I smiled at her, and nodded. Running up the stairs, I exited the Subway Station and gripped my magic mirror. Calling the portal, I stepped through and squeezed my eyes shut. I popped through on the other side, in FantasyLand. Breathing hard, I ripped open my desk drawer. Rifling through the contents with shaky hands, I found a pad of pink sticky notes and a pen.
Scribbling in shaky print, I wrote,
URGENT NOTE TO SELF:
FIND THE BIRD GIRL ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV
James and Chives were both hurt, but that really didn't matter to me. I was running around the house, with Sparky on my tail. Now I sometimes call him Prince Tutsoya. Everyday I have to give him water, which required going to the river and getting cold water on my hands. "Mah wings are almost in Ahri! They are almost in!" I tell her with cheer "Good for you!" She replied. If only Alice could see it when my wings grow in, sparky and I could practice flying together. His little voice was starting to sound a little like Alice's, when she roared. The boy I met the other day, Aaron, seems to live in the woods. I wasn't sure if he was a human or not, though. ttrrrrtrrrrrrrrrrrraTrrrrrra
I could see my little prince looking up at me, probably tired. I gave my pillow to him as a bed. And used my sheets as a blanket. I tucked him in and flipped the light off. I was near the stairs when I heard
Scrrrrrr
I saw his little face, he missed me. he was scratching on the door. I let him out and he jumped on my shoulders. I can't really imagine life without him, if he died for good. well I kinda can. I would be forever mad at James and I would always be sad. I flipped on the TV, and he ran off only to jump on Ahri. Trrrrrrr I watched for a few minutes. Well I thought it was a few minutes, it was an hour, and I turned off the TV. only realizing the time when Ahri called out "Dinner!" sparky, knew that call by now, he knew it ment food. He finished his food quickly, so I snuck him some of my apple, only to spit out cause he didn't like it. He still needed to be trained. He just jumped on the table knocking over a glass of water. "Bad!" Colli told him and shooed him off the table. knowing he was my responsibility I got up and cleaned up the mess. In a few days I wont clean up his messes for once, because in a few days, was my birthday. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COLI'S POV
A week had passed since Alice left. I had been studying all my spells, and my visits to Aurora had been getting longer. She was teaching me how to transform, but I couldn't. I don't know why, I guess it was prohibited in dreams. Today a large dusty book was open, with the sub title of "All about Transforming". Finishing a paragraph, I quickly jotted down a few notes. In my desk drawers were thick stacks of messy cards. Lately I have been copying certain details and spells that wwe important to me. Already I had five spells in there, all with good juicy details. Right now I was figuring out why I couldnt transform. Nothing good had showed up. 'There is a small chance that it is impossible for you to transform, and in that case do not continue trying to transform.' Worst news yet. Suddenly I flipped the page, disappointed that there was one paragraph left. Excitement bubbling through my veins, I skim the paragraph.I bet the answer will be here! I froze. My skin grew pale and I was nervous. WHY did it have to be this way? "Time for dinner!" Today was Thanksgiving! Quickly pushing away the feeling of dread, I ran downstairs. Everyone was seated, tails and ears straight up and the pairs of eyes were filled with glee. Taking my seat, My tummy rumbled with excitement. This was our first holiday as a family! Ahri had caught a big chicken for this, and we all helped make good food. We were poor in many ways, but we made this our best dinner ever. Ahri levitated out dishes, one with a giant turkey that looked salted, roasted, and ready for eating. "'Thank you Notch for giving us all this wonderful food.'" We said that for special dinners, which wasn't often. Ahri suddenly spoke again. "Dig in, everybody!" I ripped a drumstick off and bit deep into it, sucking in all the delectable flavor. It was roasted, which we didn't do much for some odd reason, so it added an extra layer of goodness. The heat burned my tongue, but I didn't care. It was too good to notice! Looking around, I picked out some bread, which I salted, yes salted, and ate. The salt made it better to me. The brea was fluffy and warm, filled with delight from the previous days of cooking and hunting. Everyone else was happy, though Purity had a nagging fear that the men would find her. All our troubles floated away in the warm scents of the food. We shard how good the food was, and how lucky we were to find some of them. "I can't believe we found that wheat! Lucky that Emma found that." Avi said. Finishing up the last bits of food, I choked down the last bit of chicken. Our stomachs bulged and we all groaned with delight. I walked back to my room, and my fear returned. I remembered why I couldn't transform. Had she been misleading me? Or maybe it was a good thought, and didn't mean for me to get disappointed. Whatever it was, I was asking her tonight. Aurora would know. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE'S POV
It's 11 PM. I head into my room to see Chives in my bed. "CHIVES. OUT," I command. "Wha-" he stammered. "Purrrrre. But where will I sleep?" "Where Alice used to sleep," I told him. I grabbed the few items he had, and walked over to the boys' room. Plopping down the stuff under Alice's old bed, I said "Your new room. Now the boys have their own room. You, Mason (when he is here), and James" "No way. I am NOT sharing a room with James. He wants to take away your purity." he said, "And," he continued, lowering his voice, "I don't think James likes me" "No duh, sherlock." I said. "See?! You purity is slipping away! If that boy wasn't here, you wouldn't of been so rude!" he retorted. "If I has to chose between my purity, and James, i'd pick James. It is MY choice, not yours!" I countered. "I am your older brother! I WANT WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU!" he shouted. "Everything ok?" James said, walking in the room. "NO!" we both shouted. "I CAN'T HAVE IT. YOU ARE LEAVING. AND NEVER COMING BACK!" Chives screamed. "NO! You can't make me!" I snapped back. "Watch me." Chives said. He picked me up. I fought back, but I was very weak. James started to transform. "NO JAMES!" I shouted. "Why?! He is going to take you! I CAN'T LOSE YOU AGAIN!" He cried. "Chives is STRONG, James. He could and WILL hurt you! Ahri is weak, and couldn't heal you guys! If she tried, she would DIE! And so would you! I CAN'T LOSE CHIVES! I CAN'T LOSE YOU! " I shouted at the top of my lungs. "Pure! I would, and WILL die for you!" James started. "You know what happens if my True One dies? I DIE. WE CAN'T DO THAT. JUST LET US GO!" I cried. Stepping back, James said, "I'll find you. I'll save you." Chives carried me downstairs, and out the door. "I love you!" I screamed back. "I... I love you to Pure." James said. "DON'T FORGET ME!" I shouted. Chives was moving fast, and I could barely hear his reply. "I WON'T!" James screamed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
The following morning was like every other one.
Jack and I were inseparable. Everywhere one went, the other followed. I softened his heart. I began breaking through his cool outer shell, and it revealed a warm, kind guy underneath the smirking outside layer.
Curled on the couch, we sat together watching some romantic comedy. Well, not really watching. Just letting the movie play as background noise while we sat there and enjoyed each others' presence. It was a warm, happy little mushy-gushy scene.
I was lost in thought. That bird girl was troubling me. It was mean how Peregrine was going to kill her pet dragon, but there was something underneath that. I felt a strange connection to this girl...a big sisterly connection. And I knew that Peregrine wasn't going to stop at killing her pet. She was going to delve much deeper, into deeper layers that would never heal. She would traumatize this girl, and kill her from the inside out.
"You okay love?" Jack looked down at me, his gray bunny ears cocking slightly.
I beamed. "I'm fine. Just give me a second." I hummed my tune, and the mirror came to me. Jack watched in silence.
"Mirror..." I said. The mirror and I were good friends. The mirror actually had a soul and a personality. It was just like a person...just with a body that was a handheld mirror.
"Hi Talon. How are you." The mirror was prim and proper, but could be sarcastic and rowdy and all around a whole lot of fun.
"Show me...the bird girl that Peregrine wants."
A girl appeared on the mirror. She was yawning...I suppose she had just woken up. She got up and inspected her back in a large mirror on the wall. What was she looking for?
"She's looking for wings." The mirror knew me so well, it knew what I was thinking. It couldn't read thoughts, it was just very well acquainted with how I work.
"Tell me everything you know about her."
"Well I know everything about her, how do you expect me to do so...?" I could hear the smile in Mirror's voice. I rolled my eyes.
"Just give me the basics."
"Fine. She's half bird, half girl. She has a pet dragon, which is a Platinaria brought from the dark side." I could hear the surprise in her voice.
"She's young. The youngest in her family. And she's destined to marry a bird-boy of her kind."
"You forgot her name."
"Excuse me?"
"Her NAME, Mirror." I rolled my eyes. Jack snickered. He thought it was funny how I was talking to Mirror so casually, like a real person. Mirror's real name was Reflecta, but I called her Mirror.
"Oh. Her name. Avi."
A bell went off in my head. I remembered that name from somewhere, I don't know where, though.
"Okay mirror. Thanks."
"Your wish is my command." She put on a snooty, butler-like voice.
She lingered in the air, hanging there.
"Um, Mirror...leave us alone!" I laughed. The roses carved into Mirror's sides turned bright red, her way of blushing.
"Sorry." Mirror quickly flitted away.
I laughed and curled myself into Jack's arms, now fully tucked under his hold. It was my favorite place to be, secured in his hold like that.
"How are you, my favorite Slovakian Wedgehorn." I bopped his nose, like someone taught me. I don't remember who taught me to bop noses, all I remember was them doing it to me repetitively.
"I'm good. How are you, my favorite Platinara." He tucked my hair behind my ear. I blew it back.
"I don't like my hair behind my ears."
"I do."
I huffed. "Fine." I let him tuck it behind my ear again.
Curled up, I started to drift off.
I don't NEED a portal to go to Spirit Land.
The other way to get there is to think about it before you sleep.
And that's what I did.
I met a certain bird-girl while I was there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AHRI'S POV
i heard a knock on the door. i walked over to go get it, but emma was already there. when she opened it, it was chives. that explains why she was there to open it... Chives looked worried. "Is there something wrong?" emma said in her loving voice. "I need to speak with ahri" he said to emma, and started walking twords me "My tribe, they are planning to invade this place. they want to kill james so that pure will never lose her purity. i broke off from the tribe to warn you, but they wouldnt let me bring pure. "WHAT?!?!?!?!?" I Screamed "I acted SO stupidly then, i wish i could change what i have done." he said sincerely. I calmed myself down, this was not a time to be angry "How many?" i asked "around around 50 - 60, they are bringing the whole tribe." he replied "emma? do you think we can handle it? we have Colli, Me, You, and James." i said to her. "Do they have any special abilities?" emma asked chives. "Not really, but they are GREAT fighters. and the leaders are the strongest of the bunch..." "How many leaders?" i asked "Three" he replied "How long do we have?" i asked "About a week" he said back. I sighed, i would have to teach colli a set of damaging magic within a week... perhaps we could get repaire to help also... i will NOT allow avi into the battle. and i really dont think mason is willing to come out of the woods. "The leaders are Courage, Fortitude, and Fear." "Fear?" emma asked curiosly "Arent your kind named after good emotions?" she inquired "They ran out" he shrugged "I would take care when it comes to her, she can make you lose faith in everything in an instant." emma laughed "She has never met me, ill show her REAL fear!" She grinned, showing her fangs "Who, is this "Fortitude"? chives?" i asked. i had might as well know about the rest of the leaders, they will put up the biggest fight... "She is a priest, she specializes in magic such as healing and shields." he said matter of factly "Easy target for colli, she only has so long to learn a set of spells, so we sould give her fortitude." "She is an easy target, but she is protected by Courage. Courage is the decision maker of the tribe. HE is the one who decided to take pure back. be careful with him, he is like a WALL. not easily taken down." chives informed me. "Emma, would you help me with him please? i wont be able to take him down alone." i told her. She looked dissapointed "But i wanted to take down Fear!" She pouted. "Ill let colli handle her until we take courage down, then you can show her REAL fear" i smiled. "How come you cant take down courage alone?" Chives asked tentatively "You could take me down easily in one go." i flinched when he reminded me of how i almost killed him "I am a mage assassin, i SPECIALIZE in taking people down in one go. however, if they dont go down in one go there is a high chance of me being defeated. mage spells can only be cast so often, you cant cast the spells consecutively. the cooldown isnt THAT long, its only a few seconds, but i could be taken down in a few seconds. THAT is why i need emma's help. she relies on her physical attacks more than her spells, dealing constant damage." i said. "you can count on me." emma said, smiling "I heard you have always wanted to taste their kind anyway! to be honest, i kind of want to also." And with that said, we were preparing our little family against an army. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ JAMES' POV
I was laying down on my bed when ahri burst into my room, it was sudden and she sure did surprise me, "JAMESYOUGOTTALEAVETEREISAGIANTARMYCOMINGAFTERYOUBECAUSEYOURTAKINGAWAYPIRITY'SSPURITY!" she yelled extremely fast, "Turn into a hawk and fly away!" I smiled and did something she'd never expect, I walked to my window, and jumped out... Then I turned into a hawk and flew away. I knew where I was headed, and what I was doing, I was bringing purity home, to her friends and family. I flew for a couple hours, days really, soaring through the skies until I heard the yelling and wailing of an approaching army..
I saw the campsite and turned into human, of course I was two kilometers above land and the free fall was exciting but as I am quite dramatic I turned into a sugar Glider a couple meters above land and I glided onto the branch of a tree. I watched the camp site for a couple more days, moving as they moved until I was sure where purity was. She was in the main tent where three royal looking people slept. I knew it was her in there because one day I heard her cursing at them for some reason I'm unsure of. Is it really my fault that she is cursing and swearing? I tensed because that not what I wanted for her, but I jumped off the tree and turned into a spider, for I will help and protect purity no matter how she is or acts, for that's unconditional love.
I snuck into the campsite and found the cage they were keeping purity in, I can't forget to give them an extra punch for that. I crawled into her cage and she noticed me and started to try to step on me. I kept abasing her foot and she started cursing again, for I was teasing her by getting close then scurrying off. "You son of a-" she started before I rudely interrupted by tapping her on the back in human form "Watch your language young lady!" I teased her, "James!" She yelled while slinging her arms around my shoulders
I guess I should have told you before but I've still been reading my mothers diary and it is quite interesting, particularly the bit where it shows you every single animal and what they do. There is one particular spell which I will need though.
"Hold my hand and embrace yourself" I say quickly "Nows not the time to hold hands James" she laughed "Trust me." I said She put her hand in mine and I quickly whispered a spell. "humming bird see, humming bird do, I will shapeshift now you will too!" I opened my eyes to see I was a humming bird, and so was purity. I quickly taught her how to fly and we flew back to the house together, I raised my scared hand and pointe at purity after changing into human again, she morphed back.
I felt dizzy, I think I gave purity too much of my power in that spell "Oh crap" I thought as I passed out on the doorstep of our house ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
A couple days had passed and I was about to give a FantasyLand speech. Clearing my throat, I stepped up to the microphone and spoke.
"People of FantasyLand!"
I silently cursed myself. I told myself I wouldn't say that...it's too corny.
"Agh, Nevermind that. Sorry guys."
Crap! Too casual!
Clearing my throat again, I gave up and just delivered my message. "Mirror has told me about things in Spirit Land and other places I must tend to. I feel as though it's my duty to aid them...I feel an odd connection to them. You might know this already, but Peregrine-"
The crowd hushed even further. The people on the other side of FantasyLand (keep in mind that FantasyLand is twice the mass of Earth. We accessed it through a portal when we came)
"I don't know if you knew this...but Peregrine is my sister."
The people gasped.
"One of us chose the light path, the other walked on the dark path."
Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. It was hard to remember.
"And I have a suspicion that Peregrine has been trying to haunt these places and the people inside them."
An understanding look fell on their faces.
"If you have been a long-term FantasyLand citizen, you would know. But some time ago, when my mother was still Queen, Peregrine's mother left the Dark FantasyLand and came to FantasyLand. She haunted our people, and massive chaos overtook us. It was a dark period, because my mother was ill and her strength failed her when she tried to defeat her. She died in battle, and from her death I rose."
I stayed in human form, but for dramatic effect, I made my dragon wings appear on my back. Then I closed them back in, and they vanished.
"I have decided to temporarily leave FantasyLand. Cho Li will be taking my place as executive ruler while I'm gone."
Then I made a descision that I hadn't thought of before.
On the spot, I said "and I will be taking my boyfriend Jack Blackwell with me."
Glancing at Jack, his face was full of emotions. Shock. Surprise. But there was a glowing underlay of shining excitement and anticipation. I smiled.
Bowing my head informally, I grinned and said thank you to the people.
Bouncing off the stage and into Jack's arms, I smiled at Cho. She seemed slightly scared to be the new ruler of FantasyLand, but there was determination in her eyes, and she was going to be a magnificent ruler.
Jack and I went back to the house. I led him to my room, and we shut the door because Skeeter was still sleeping. We sat on my bed and I called my magic mirror.
"Mirror, tell me how to get to that bird girl."
"You won't like it."
"Just tell me."
"She lives in the OverWorld."
I gasped. The OverWorld?! That was a four hour flight---in fact, it's the way we came for the dragon migration!
Jack looked slightly shocked at the long flight, but was glad and still excited.
"Four hour flight?!" Jack poked my ribs.
"Sorry." I giggled. He poked my ribs again and I inched away from him, but he just came closer.
"Mirror do you have anything to help us?"
Mirror sighed, pretending to be irritated with me. "Well there is one thing."
"And what is it?"
Mirror's glassy surface turned white, until it showed a necklace. It was simple. It had a black string and a single green pendant hung in the middle. If you turned the pendant around, it showed a picture of the bird-girl.
I stuck my hand in and took it out.
"Thanks Mirror!"
"That necklace is enchanted. When you come near the bird girl, that green pendant will glow and turn red."
I wanted to hug Mirror at that point.
"Thank you so much Mirror. I owe you."
I paused.
"Now leave me and my boyfriend alone."
Mirror floated away.
"It's always so interesting when you talk to Mirror. I wish I had a mirror like that."
I smiled. "Maybe you'll become king of FantasyLand. FantasyLand royalty gets mirrors." This was true. And if I married Jack, he'd be the king, with me as queen.
He smiled and kissed my cheek. "We'll see."
We left my room, and went to wake up Skeeter.
We continued about our daily lives, but went to bed early.
We needed a good night's rest, if we were going to fly four hours tomorrow. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE' POV
"J-James? JAMES!" I shouted, fearing the worse. We just got back. I wanted some time with him when one of us wasn't nearly dead! "urhghr" James mumbled. Thank god. He was probably drained of power. I couldn't carry him alone, so I went to get Ahri. Opening the door, I called "Ahri? I'm home!" "PURE! OHMIGOSH!" Ahri screamed. She ran to the door, and gave me a huge hug. "I missed you!!!!" "I missed you too, Ahri!" I told her, "Can you help me carry James upstairs?" "Probably not. We can get him to the fireplace. He will rest there" she told me. An hour later, James was laying on the floor, covered in bruises. "I never knew how hard that table was." I said. "Neither did I." Ahri replied. We looked at each other, then start laughing our head off. "We need to be serious. We still are under attack." Ahri announced. "They won't be here until tuesday, and it is only friday. I heard them talking about it when i was trapped." I said, "By the way, where is Chives?" "In his room." Ahri said. I dashed upstairs, and into Chives' room. "Pure... My baby sister. I missed you." Chives said, kissing my forehead, "I don't know what came over me..." "It's ok, Chives. I love you anyways." I said. "I love you too, Purity." he told me, "If you don't want to be pure, thats ok. As long as you are happy. But if that punk breaks your heart, I am breaking his neck." "I'm sure you will." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EMMA'S POV
That Night, I had bad dreams. But, you have to understand, I'm slightly physic, my dreams come true. No one in my family knows. So, that night I had bad dreams. I was standing in a felid of war. In frount of the house, my home. There were people fighting. Then, suddenly, I was on the roof. I was sitting in the cornor between the chimney and the wall. I could smell blood, and I was bleeding. My watch was shattered, and my hair was knotted. I felt...human. I was..cold. I hadn't felt cold in almost 300 years. I shivered. Then, suddenly, there was a man, with a stake and a staff. His staff was glowing, I assumed that was waht made me human. I didn't have fangs, or magic to protect myself as the stake came down, I felt it rushing past me then..I woke up shaking. I wandered out side, and I swear I felt cold. I fell over, and stayed there for a while. A little bit after my fit, I was still sitting outside on the ice, when I smelled somthing good, warm, and familer. Chives, with a cup of hot tea? Chocolate? IDONT KNOW WHAT ONE CHIVVES WOULD LIKE >.<. I assumed he came out here to look at the stars or something, but when he saw me, he dropped his hot drink and ran over. "Emma, why are you sitting out here?" "I had a bad dream" He sighed, "Of all people, you know bad dreams can't hurt you." I started crying. "b-b-but mine can!" He akwardly patted me on the head, A motion I could almost be sure he had done to pure, many times. "No, they can't" "B-b-b-but..I'm physic" I blurted out His face was unreadable, even for me. "What was you dream about?" After I told him, he was lost in thought for a while. "They don't want to kill anybody else, why would they kill you?" "Maybe, well, everybody thinks vampires are evil, right?" My voice was shaky but I continued, "and your people are good, maybe they want to get rid of evil; get rid of me." I started shaking again. "Come on, lets get you back inside" Somehow, I mustered the strength to get back up, then I stumbled into the living room. I sat down on the couch, and Chives sat down next to me. I moved into his lap, and I fell asleep. When I awoke, the entire family was watching us. My face turned red. Chives was still asleep, so I motioned to Ahri to follow me into the kitchen. "I'm Physic" Ahri gasped. When I told her my dream, she frowned. "But its totally okay for you to sleep with Chives after that" She giggled. "Its not funny Ahri! I...I think it means I'm going to DIE!" I'm sure the entire family heard that one. The Family room went silent. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV
You won't die!" I tell her! Now that Alice is gone, I can't lose anyone else Sparky slams into the wall, when trying to stop in here. we all start to giggle and I pick him up and leave the room. "I need to make a toy for you!" I tell him. I go outside and pick up and round smooth rock. It had a little sparkle to it. I came inside ad threw it across the room, seeing Sparky run after it. I grab a book and sit down. Five more days until my birthday! If only Alice were here.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
Time to go.
Jack and I stood at the launch pad, waiting for a good breeze. Cho and Ariana stood behind us, waving goodbye. I clutched my pendant. It was dull, unlit. Jack removed his arm from my waist and stepped aside to transform. He closed his eyes, and breathed in. Smiling to himself, he looked at rest. Peaceful. Even though he was about to accompany me on a four hour journey. He dipped his head, and his skin turned into sleek dragon hide, layered in black and green iridescent scales. Crouching, he fell into full dragon form, growing bigger and filling out into the Slovakian Wedgehorn. He had two mirror-like horns. His eyes were slim and still Jack...pale icy blue. I smiled up at him, suddenly so small as a bunny girl.
I breathed in and transformed. My skin rippled into black scales, with some platinum ones mixed in. My slim eyes were reddish. My canines filed into small points. I blew a quick breath of fire before winking at Jack.
I turned around to see my friends waving farewell. I roared the signature call of the Platinara and felt a good riding breeze. Jack knew it too. We took off. Looking behind quickly, I saw Cho and Ariana had turned into dragons, and they were roaring goodbye. They shrunk back into humans.
We knew this path well. The tricky part was going through the portal. It was easy to miss if you weren't keeping a keen eye. We kept flying, tiring out but pushing ourselves to keep going. I felt bad for Jack. I really had no purpose of bringing him...but I wanted him to be with me. I could still feel excitement rolling off of him in waves, even though we had been flying for three and a half hours already. We talked some, watched the scenery, pushed each other around and pretending it was an accident. Finally I saw the portal and pointed it out. It was a glowing gold cloud. The makers tried to conceal it but failed, since the portal gleamed so brightly.
Holding our breath, we flew right through the cloud. I felt my body mass suck in, and morph through the portal. We tumbled out the other side, and landed on a mountaintop. This is where we usually go for the migration. I sighed. Fifteen more minutes and we were good. The pendant had begun to glow dimly, turn from vibrant green to a paler green. Soon it'd take a pale pink shade, then a red shade.
I was excited. I paused for a moment, though. I realized I had nowhere to go. I didn't know where we should be.
I stopped Jack and called Mirror. Even though it was a four hour flight for us, it was only a two second teleportation for Mirror.
"Where am I supposed to go, Mirror?"
Mirror showed me where to go, kind of like a GPS. She told me we weren't far, and we should be at a mansion on top of a tall mountain. The mansion would be straight forward, then slightly to the right.
I thanked Mirror and let her float next to us. Our trio flew straight and to the right, like Mirror instructed.
We had reached the mansion. I was thrilled! The pendant was completely white now, and was beginning to turn pink. My heart pounded and my feet touched grass. Shrinking back into a girl, I grippe the necklace with my human hands. Jack turned human and sighed.
"We were here for the migration just recently," he commented. Mirror remained in the air.
"Can I leave now?" She said playfully. I laughed.
"Of course not. You have to tell us where to go." She sighed.
"Fine. At the base of this hill there should be a hidden portal. Find it." She vanished.
I exhaled. "This will be easier in bunny form," said Jack. He turned into a thinner bunny with gray ears and spots. I turned into my signature bunny: pure white and adorably cute and small.
We hopped down the mountain, listening for potential danger. It was precariously dangerous for two good-sized rabbits to be jumping around in the woods. Bears. Wolves. Any predator unaware of the fact that we're not just bunnies.
This mountain was taller than I expected. Seemed miles high. Our heads cleared and our ears popped as we approached the bottom. Sighing, we kept tumbling to the bottom. Looking at Jack, I accidentally ran into a tree. Jack keeled over laughing, and rushed to my side through his laughing tears to help me up. I mock-scowled at him.
A hush fell over me as I inspected the tree. It was misshapen...
I turned into a girl. Jack turned into a boy.
Easily, I ripped the trunk open, like it was fabric, not wood.
Must be the portal.
I was about to take Jack's hand and step in, but something else happened.
Someone came running through the portal at top-speed. They obviously didn't expect someone to be on the other side. They went crashing head first into me, knocking me and Jack both over.
Dazed, I blinked. I was staring into the face of my target.
The bird girl ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV
I slam the book shut. I toss it on the table. Well at least I hope it landed on the table. I sit up only to freeze. Sparky was sound a sleep. I slowly get up and tiptoe around Sparky. I walk to Colli and start poking her. "Poke. Poke. Poke. Poke, Poke." "Avi stop acting so random" she tells me. "I'm soooooo bored. SOOO bored." I whine. "James turn into a bear" "Now turn inform a fox." "Now go away" "Dinner!" Ahri calls out. That awakens Sparky and he dashes, slamming into a chair. I pass him some steak and he chows down, I start to eat my pork. Once I Finished I grab a cookie. I head straight to bed, since I have nothing to do. The door was left open and Sparky dashes in before me. I walk in my room, as soon as I walk through the doorway it feels like a sleep spell has been cast. Sparky has claimed my bed so I sleep in his bed. I wake up the next morning with a nasty bed head. I walk downstairs and see Ahri. "G'morning Ahri" "Good morning. Nice hair do ya got there" she snickers "Shaddup" I say and jump up and mess up her hair. "I'm goin out don't eat my breakfast." I tell her. I walk outside and feel the cold air nip at my ear. I hear the door open and turn around and see Ahri opening the door for Sparky. We head for the woods near the house. Sparky runs ahead to my right and I try to catch at him. I keep my eyes on him and I run into something. Sparky did to. What is this? it's some sort of portal! it is a portal. Sparky and I try to run. We appear somewhere new and run into someone. "ALICE!!!!!!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COLI'S POV
I had finished breakfast, which was very good, and sat still. I had been sitting for five minutes, waiting for Avi. She was nowhere in sight. The door creaked and I rushed to the door. The carpet slid beneath me, and I fell onto the ground. No one was at the door. It was only the wind. I started crying now.
"I MISS ALICE!" I was crouched on the floor, crying loudly. Emma came over, and was hushing me, hugging me close.
"We all miss her, Colli. She'll come back soon." Emma kept shushing me. I was being silent, but tears gushed out.
"She would've come for T-Thanksgiving." I say quietly. Emma was quiet, considering what I had said. Ahri heard the odd silence and hurried up. she saw me crying, and Emma sitting with me. Ahri just smiled and went back to her room. I hugged close to Emma, forgetting her fangs. Emma noticed this and seemed really happy. Looking up at Emma, I asked her.
"Can we look for her?"
Emma stared and silently called the family. Or maybe it was the silence again. Everyone gathering around, she answered.
"Yes." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

PURE'S POV
It was around 4 AM. I needed a break. I tiptoed across the hallway, and into the boy's room. Poking James in the cheek, I whispered "James. James. James" "Wha-" he mumbled, "Oh hi, Pure." I grabbed his hand, and dragged him out of bed. "Pure. Give me a second to make myself decent." He whispered. I looked at my shorts, tank top, and messy hair. "I will too." Dashing into my room, I grabbed my hair, and threw it into a messy braid. I decided to stay in my shorts and tank top, because I didn't think it was that cold out. I gently knocked on James' door, careful not to wake Chives. James opened the door, in jeans and an undershirt. His hair was still a mess, but i didn't care. Grabbing his hand, I told him, "We are going on the roof" "How will we get there? I can try to turn you into a hummingbird again, but it isn't easy" he said. "We climb. There are plenty of vines" I replied. We tiptoed downstairs, well, at least I did; I doubted James would tiptoe. Running to the back of the house, James lifted me up to help me get my footing. We both didn't have shoes or socks, and I was a bit cold. I was halfway up, when my foot slipped. James caught me, and balanced me. When I got to the roof, James was right behind me. We sat there, looking at the stars for while. We laid on our backs, my head on James' chest. I couldn't be any happier. I didn't care about anything up there. It was just us. I didn't care about my purity, my immortality. All I cared about was James. When he kissed me, my insides melted. I felt lightheaded, and I didn't know why. "Oh, yeah. I need to remember to breathe. " I thought to myself. "Chives is going to kill me" James whispered. "Yes he will." I replied. "I don't care," James said. After a little while, I felt funny. All tingle-ly. I shimmered, and gold sparkly things fell from me. I floated in the air. All i saw was gold light. "Purity. You have found your True One. Be forever happy." a deep voice said. I quickly fell to the ground, but James caught me. "Well, its official," James said, "We were made for each other." We stayed on the roof the whole night. My head was on his chest, and James was playing with my hair while humming some song for hours. It was perfect. We were perfect. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
The bird girl and I stared in each other's eyes for one confusing second.
She beamed and screamed, "ALICE!"
For a split second, she looked at Jack. "Who's this?"
"My boyfriend." I responded.
Was this the bird girl I needed to find?
Glancing down at my pendant, I saw it was glowing a deep ruby red. I gasped excitedly.
"You're Avi, aren't you!"
Her face fell. "Don't...don't you remember me?"
I was so bewildered. "Should I? I know you're a Spirit Land traveler."
Tears pooled in her eyes. "No, no, no..I'm more than that! I'm Avi! Your favorite bird girl!" She began to get hysterical.
I shushed her. "Shhh..calm down..." I grabbed Jack's hand.
"Now how do you remember me?" I tried to uncover these lost memories.
"Colli found you in the s-snow...and you came in. You sat by the fire as a little bunny, we didn't know you were a girl...and your name is Alice and you're my big sister!" She sobbed, cries and tears puncturing the sentences and words she tried to form.
I didn't remember any of this.
"Well, take me to the house you kept me in."
She sniffled. "You mean, your home?" She buried her face in her hands.
I was confused. "Yes, there."
Avi lead me through the portal. ~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV
i lead Alice back home along with her BF and Sparky. When we arrived when i opened the door i screamed "GUYS!!!! ALICE!!!!!" "what?!" "Alice?!" "We missed you!" The house was drowned with shrieks of joy, except one thing. She didnt remember a thing. "alice why cant you remember me?" I I asked her. My eyes filling with tears. She thought for a moment. "The FantasyLand." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
What is going on?
My grip on Jack's hand tightened as we---rather, I---was greeted by shrieks of "ALICE!" and "We missed you so much!" and "Where were you?"
What is this?!
I tried to wake myself up from this daze. "Um, hi everyone!"
Everyone smiled.
"My name is Talinella. Nice to meet you guys."
Confusion crossed their faces. A moment of silence fell.
A fox girl with black hair stepped up.
"I'm Ahri."
I smiled. At least she didn't think I was crazy for not knowing her.
"I'm Talinella, but you can call me Talon."
One boy let out a sharp exhale. I guess he had bad history with Talon...a lot of people did. A girl with copper hair and green eyes rushed to his side. "Calm down, James." I guess he was James.
James glared at me. I stepped away from him instinctively.
Ahri came up to Jack.
"And who is this?" Her eyelids lowered, and she put her hands on his shoulders. Jack's face stayed calm, he stayed cool, and he put his arms around me from behind. I growled.
"My boyfriend." Brushing her hands off of him, I said "Hands off."
Ahri stepped back in shock.
"Alice...you know I was kidding."
I raised my eyebrows. "Alice? Who's Alice?"
Ahri stepped back in sad disappointment. "Bye, Alice..." she whispered.
James, the boy who hated me, came up. He wasn't so angry now, or so it seemed. He just seemed curious.
"Talon?" he called.
"So we meet again. I remember you." My voice took a double edge, like it did when someone channeled the inner Spirit inside me.
"Alice?" he tried.
"I honestly don't know who Alice is, guys...sorry...my name's Talinella but you can call me Talon." I repeated. Did these guys hear me? I wasn't Alice. My name is Talinella! My name is...
Alice.
I fell backwards, feeling Jack's arms catch me.
I blacked out from all the memories crashing into my head at once. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE'S POV
"Your name is Jack, right?" I said. "Yeah. I'm Talon's boyfriend," he replied. "Well, we are Alice's family. Back off. You didn't get my approval," I said, defiantly steeping towards him. "Do I need it?" Jack countered. "Yes," I snapped back, taking another step forward, my nose inches away from his. Then Jack reached out, and touched my shoulder to calm me down. James had him in a headlock in seconds. "You touch her one more time, and I will snap your neck" James said. "Ah- S- sorry" Jack spluttered. James released him. Ahri, Avi, and Coli were all over Alice in no time. She had her head resting on a pillow, and was laying by the fireplace within a minute. James had his arm tightly around me. Jack sat awkwardly at the table. James and I were discussing my new name. We had a few ideas. Ahri, Avi, and Coli were talking to eachother about what just happened. Jack picked moss of the table. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EMMA'S POV
I couldn't belive it. Alice was back! She was back! She could help us, lucky the only problems... I remembered my dream. We were all sitting down in the living room and I was on the caoughtch next to Ahri and chives, with James and Purity next to chives. I controlled my breathing, and tried to stay calm. I had to stay calm. I smelled everything in the room. There was shapeshifter, fox, bunny, dragon, vampire, chives, and...human? Wha... I sniffed again. That, yep. That was human. "Theres a human in this room" I blurted out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV
I snapped awake.
What's the first thing I saw?
Ahri running around in little circles. Why was she doing this? I don't know. All I cared was that I RECOGNIZED HER!
"AHRI!" I leapt up and gave her a hug. Colli sat on the couch so I screamed and hugged her too. She asked me, "Do you remember my name?" And I giggled. "Of course. It's COLLI!" And I gave her another hug. I felt two people leap on my back and I collapsed. Turning my head, I saw it was Avi. And Purity, even though she was waaaaay too old to be leaping on my back. Heck, it looked like she and James were together.
"AVI! PURE!" I laughed. "I missed you all so much!"
Then there was Emma, still by the fire. I went over, Avi still on my back, and I flicked her rock hard skin. I shouldn't have done that. I crumbled to the floor, nursing my injured finger.
Everyone burst out laughing. Did everyone really have to see me flick Emma? Emma, too, was also cracking up.
"H-H-Hi Alice!" She managed through her tears of laughter.
I managed an injured wave.
I tried again, after my finger had stopped throbbing. I shook her shoulders instead. "EMMA!" And that worked fine enough.
I gave each of the boys a quick hug, but I saved the real hug for a certain bunny standing next to Emma, by the fire. I snuck up behind him. Thankfully he didn't notice. I crouched down and leapt up on his back, piggy-back style.
"AAAAGH!" He screamed, laughing. And that's when I realized he had put up his cool barriers for my friends. And I had just broken that barrier. He folded his hands with his arms under my legs, so he could give me a proper piggy back ride. Ahri and Colli were going to be all over him. Oh well. I didn't mind. As long as they didn't try anything. He was sort of like a prize trophy to me, I guess. Showing him off was a no-brainer.
"So I guess y'all met my boyfriend, Jack." Ahri and Colli gushed. "You guys are perfect together." I flicked one of his long gray bunny ears. He reached up and poked mine.
I turned to Avi.
"Avi. You don't have to be scared of me, you know."
Avi breathed.
"I'm not the bad Talon you know. Really. Peregrine is who you should fear."
She was bewildered.
"Peregrine has been framing me. She's the one you need to watch out for. She acts like me to cover up."
Quick pause for breath.
"And she's also my sister."
Then everything clicked in their heads. When there's good there must be evil. Jack patted my back.
Colli stepped up. "So...you're the good one?"
Jack and I nodded simultaneously.
"What should we call you...Talinella, Talon, or Alice?"
I sighed a happy sigh. "Whichever you want."
We all celebrated the return. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE'S POV
"Purity?" a voice said "Wha- Who said that?" I asked. It was mid afternoon, and I was out gathering apples. I wanted to make a special "welcome back" meal for Alice, but we didn't have apples. "Me, Purity! You best friend! Don't you remember?" the voice said. "I'm sorry, where are you? Who are you?" I asked. "It is me, True." the voice said. "TRUE!" I shouted. True was my friend when I was a little girl. She was part of the fairy clan. "I heard that you found your True One!' True said. "Umm... Where are you?" I said. Turning around, I saw a tiny pink fairy fluttering in the air. Giggling, True said, "Right here, silly! Now, tell me about everything. And i mean everything" I did. I told her about the kingdom falling, Ahri finding me, the family, James, Alice, and me losing my purity. "Now, where have YOU been?" I inquired. "Well... When the kingdom fell, I only survived because I could fly. All the fay survived. We live in peace in a big tree. Word got around that there was a house in the clearing by the edge of the forest. I decided to check it out. I found you, and was very happy! I also found the camp of people trying to take you back. I didn't want to startle you. Also, I thought that some of your new family might be afraid of me. And think I was a spy. I was waiting until you entered the forest. And now here we are!" True said. "May I introduce you to my family? I'm sure they won't be afraid, if I introduce you." I suggested. "No no no. I must go. I don't have a lot of time here," said True, "I can give you something. A gift from the fay." True pulled an orb out of her small backpack. "Here. It is the Blessing Of The Fairies. It gives you the power to transform into a fairy. Wings and all! You can use it whenever you want. It is easy too! Just think hard about turning into a fairy, and BOOM! You are one!" True said, excitedly. She handed it to me. As soon as I touched it, it burst into pink light. The pink light went into my head, and I had the feeling of being a bit more powerful. "Try it out!" True stated. "Be a fairy, be a fairy, be a fairy" I thought. Suddenly, the world grew large. I felt a bit dizzy. I looked at my back, and sure enough, I had wings! I looked at True and smiled. I flew around for a bit. "Do you like it?" True asked. "I love it! Thank you True!" I exclaimed. "Also, did you pick a new name yet?" said True. "No, I haven't." I replied. "What about Fay?" "Hm... I like it. I'll talk it over with James." "Oh no!" squealed True, "It is almost 4! I must go!" Grasping my hand, True said, "I hope to see you again, Fay." "Stop by the house any time." "Ok, I will!" True said, happy again, "Goodbye now!" "Bye, True!!" I fluttered back home, carefree. I saw my best friend, I got a new power, AND a new name! It couldn't be better. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ JAMES' POV
Im really happy at the moment, I'm sitting on the roof watching the sunrise. It's been a while since 'Purity' lost her virtue, now she decided to have her name as Fay, I like the name, it's nice. Fay climbed up onto the roof and sat down next to me, "Hey Fay" I said while smiling She laughed and I got up and hugged her, we sat down together and watched the sunrise together, it sure was beautiful, I was about to say how nice she looked when I stuttered, a poison dart had hit the back of my neck. "Fay, they're here." I said as I started to lose consciousness, "The army!" I started to lose control over my body which flopped onto the roof, I started falling off the roof, rolling and rolling until I fell off and started heading towards the ground, fast. "James!" I hear Fay cry, I hit the ground with a large 'THUMP' and yelled out in agonising pain, I knew my left arm was broken and atleast two of my ribs but the pain didn't last long as I was loosing conciousness "Fay, save yourself..." I mumbled as my eyes slowly rolled into the back of my head...
I woke up in a coffin, plenty of air so it must have just been put in the ground. I started banging on the lid, trying to prise it open, it wouldn't budge with the dirt ontop of it... 'Ive got it!' I thought I myself. A lot of animals, such as my bear or lion, have large muscle tone they would be able to open easily! Of course, there was too little room in the coffin to shape shift. It was ok though because I figured, if I can take bear claws, why not bear muscles? I knew it sounded stupid but I was already running out of oxygen so I needed to do it anyways. I did the transformation and tried as hard as I could to open the door, but as soon as I started, pains got me from all over, I had burns, cuts and bruises and my bones were still broken. 'Dont give up, ever' I thought to my self, I pushed with all my, and a bears, might, screaming with all the pain I managed to lift the lid a tiny bit, moving the earth above... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE POV
The cheer of my return was gone next morning.
I was fast asleep. Jack was sleeping on an air bed next to my bed so he wouldn't feel awkward and alone.
THUNK!
My eyes shot open and I rocketed upright quicker than a bullet, shot from a gun. I tumbled off the bed, spinning in little pencil rolls. My hand fell on Jack'a peacefully sleeping figure. I shook him awake.
"Jack. Jack!"
"Mmmfph."
"Wake up!"
"...whaaa?" One eye opened.
"Jack there was a noise. I think something fell of the roof."
He gave me a "what?!" look.
Curious himself, we began to ready ourselves for the day. Once bunnies get up, they're up for good. We brushed our teeth, got dressed, everything. I had mirror get some of Jack's clothes. I carefully slipped a drawing of a Platinara dragon I drew ages ago into my pocket. Everywhere I went, the drawing went.
I gave him a carrot from my secret stash under the bed. If I didn't, James would turn into a rabbit or hawk and steal them.
Speaking of James, where was he? He was usually the second one up.
Jack and I snuck downstairs and out the back door. Circling the house, we found a terrible sight.
Purity, or Fay as we now call her, screaming down from the top of the roof.
And what was she screaming at?
James, unconscious and bloody.
On the ground.
Looking like he just took the three-story plunge from the roof. Together, Jack and I pulled him inside. But as we were walking, carrying him, a hand yanked James away and threw him on the ground. Spinning around, it was...what? Who was this guy? He was definitely someone I'd never seen. But he had a look of hatred so powerful. And it was directed right at James. Jack and I played tug-of-war with James's lifeless, limp body.
"FAY!" I screamed.
She was down there with me in a second, crying for James.
"Fay, take my place. Help Jack." Fay gave me...a funny look. I could tell she and Jack were...not friends.
"Fay. You have to get over this thing with Jack, whatever it is. It's the only way to save James. Please." A look of piercing sorrow crossed her, and in a flash, she was replacing my hands, yanking James away. She had a fire in her eyes, too.
As fast as a bunny can run (fast), I burst through the door and ran upstairs to wake everyone else. I'll start with the two foxes...they'll take the longest to get up. I exploded into Colli's and Ahri's room, screaming and shaking them.
"James! People! Help!" I glanced out their window, and saw something much worse. Jack and Fay didn't realize it down there, but from that third-story window, I saw the forest, and the many many people closing in on our house. Hiding in the forest.
I did the same for Avi and Emma. The boys were already up from the screaming. And Emma was a vampire, she didn't sleep. All we needed was to worry about James's safety.
We all rushed outside, just in time to rip James's limp form away from the guy pulling him back. Fay had a sick, disgusted look in her eyes at everyone on our opposing side...did she know them?
"SO WE MEET AGAIN." She snarled at everyone. My eyebrows shot up. I never heard Pur--I mean Fay---talk to anyone like that.
"Hello, Purity. Or should we call you Impurity?" The man who tried to kidnap James spoke up.
"Call me Fay."
"No. This boy has spoiled your Purity. He took away your virtue. Look at you. You're not the same virtue you were. You've become disgusting."
"Get out of here, Fear."
"Not until this boy has paid. You sicken me...Fay." He spat out her name. He looked disgusted."
Fay lunged at him.
Jack and I lugged James inside. Once we dropped him, Jack shot a curious look at me.
"You okay, Talon?"
I managed a weak smile. "I can't believe this war is going to break out right here. Right now..."
He nodded.
"Let's go."
And the two of us walked out. We realized everyone had gone into chaos. Since Fay lunged at "Fear", the others had become explosive. Ahri was over in the corner, battling a dozen of the people. Her nine tails were lit on fire...but not the fire that would hurt her. It was a fire from the spirit. One that she generated. Colli was lending her a hand, her one tail wrapping around two men and throwing them on the ground. Avi flew high in the air, landing on some weaker ones and taking them down. I was shocked. She was young, but a good fighter. Jack ran out and began fighting.
Leading us was Fay. She was battling Fear viciously, but Emma had stepped in and helped her out. Turns out, all of their planning about who-kills-who went down the drain. Fay was losing strength. I saw her falter. Fear, with fire in his eyes, swiped at her face. She fell to the ground, a rill of blood cascading in a deadly swirl down her cheek. Suddenly everything was set to reality...
I ran to aid her, but saw the hurt in her eyes. It wasn't physical hurt. It was the fact that Fear had called her disgusting. She was emotionally scarred by Fear. And Fear was someone who used to care for her, love her.
My vision tinted red. How dare he.
That idiot.
That beast.
That damned fool.
How dare he make...my little sister feel this way.
I looked down, and I saw that my Platinara drawing fluttered to the ground, facing me so I could see it perfectly.
My white bunny ears turned red. My eyes were crimson. My teeth turned into fangs and my hair turned black and platinum.
Like Platinara scales.
My voice took its double edge. And I felt the power I needed to take this. I seemed to pulse a glowing red aura.
"STOP." I said to...to everyone. The double edge in my voice, and the power surging through my veins amplified my voice. Suddenly my voice was louder than a rock concert, more intense than any police siren. All my family members, all the other tribe's members, stopped to stare at me.
I turned to Fear.
"HOW DARE YOU INSULT MY FAMILY." I advanced.
He held his ground. "She's my family. Not yours, you sick rabbit." He spat at me. It missed by two inches.
"FAY. AVI. BACK AWAY FROM ME. NOW." The two of them were closest to me...
Black light pulsed through my body as I ripped out of human form...and transformed into a dark, lovely creature.
A Platinara Dragon.
I glanced down at Fay, the double edge still in my voice. "This is how I'll help y'all out." For a second, I was Alice, eager to help. Then I was Talon. Ferocious and vicious to protect her family. I spread my black and silver wings out, covering my family so they could see, but they wouldn't be harmed.
I roared the signature Platinara call and breathed a long, white-hot jet of fire. Blowing fire down on many of the enemies, they ducked for cover. I stomped, scattering the idiots. Scooping up Fear in my grip, I made him look at me in my crimson irises. Before I threw him in the air and caught him in my teeth. Dropping his scared body into my hand, I flung him on the ground, but caught him when he tried to run.
"APOLOGIZE TO FAY."
"..N...N...Never..."
"I SUPPOSE I HAVE NO CHOICE THEN."
I picked him up, and breathed a long, hot jet of fire, singing half of him. I laughed cruelly.
"SCORN MY FAMILY, I'LL SCORN YOU." And I threw him on the ground.
I faced all the others of his kind.
"ALL OF YOU BEST BE RUNNING NOW."
And so they did. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EMMA'S POV
After I helped Fay out, I jumped onto the roof. Imeditly, I felt dizzy, like in my dream. I heard Alice or Talon become a dragon and everyone leave, but It felt like It wasn't really there.I felt weak, and cold.Human. I stumbled over the cornor, and a man apeared, with a stake. In the back of my mind, I knew I was going to die. My dream was coming true. Even if I felt human, I could still scream. "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" I heard footsteps, but the stake came down. Some last minute instinct happened, or someone threw me out of the way, but I was falling, still human, off a three story house. I hit the ground feet first. I heard a crack. I sat down hard on my tailbone. Another crack. I put my hands to my head. Blood. Vampires don't bleed.
I looked up and saw someone falling, too weak to move, I struggled to get out of the way.
Ow. My ribs, now, were also broken. It was the man with the stake, and the glowing stick. Ahri was coming now, I could feel her footsteps in the earth. The ground was shaking, moving. A figure in a yellow t-shirt jumped off the roof and landed on the man's back. The stick broke, the glow faded. I felt normal. I healed instantly. Cal, my savior, on the other hand, could not. I picked up the man.
"Who are you"
"Shes gonna get you, you know. She hates you, for what you did to her...shes gonna get.." His voice faded off into nothing as he turned into ash. Magic. Amber. Amber. I fainted. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PURE'S POV
"NO! NO! JAMES!" I screamed. I saw someone run to James. No no no... I couldn't process anything... I didn't know... I DIDN'T CARE. "JAMES! NO! You can't leave me! YOU CAN'T DO THIS!" I sobbed. I climbed off the roof. Grabbing James' hand, I nearly passed out. I felt more pain then I ever had before. The world was a blur. "Fay... Place... Jack" someone said. I looked up angry. Not Jack! "Fay... Get over... Jack... Save... James..." I looked up to see someone standing there. I took James out of the person's hands. Then... FEAR was there. Trying to take James! "So we meet again?" I said, the world coming into focus. "Hello, Purity. Or should we call you Impurity?" Fear said. "Call me Fay." I demanded. "NO. This boy has spoiled your purity! He took away your virtue! Look at you. You're not the same virtue you were. You've become disgusting." This COULDN'T be Fear. Not my Fear. Not the one who I thought was my True One. My friend, my lover. Not my Fear. "Get out of here, Fear." "Not until this boy has paid. You sicken me... Fay," Fear said, disgusted. I ran to Fear, and tried to punch him. Suddenly, everyone was fighting. I was beating up Fear, but he started to use his power. "Fay... James is dead... It was for nothing... True is dead too..." a cold voice whispered. "No. NO! It couldn't be the truth. True is fine... So is James!" I said to Fear. I wasn't very strong, and Emma came in to help me. I missed a punch. It all went downhill from there. Fear landed a hard kick in my face, and I fell to the ground. All I saw was my own blood. "Fay? It is me! True! I'm not sure if this will work, but if you can here me, don't worry! We are sending the fairies to battle!" True said. She wasn't there, but she spoke to me. She spoke to me through my orb. "Help..." I thought. I was laying on the ground, pretending to be unconscious. I was actually talking to True. "Turn into a fairy. Fly away. I see a dragon hurting Fear. Is that your friend?" "Yes. It is Alice." I thought. "Now, get out of there!" True urged. I turned into a fairy, still badly hurt. "Fay?" True said, no longer in my mind. True was right next to me, along with my other friends,Happiness, and Trust. They helped me up, and carried me away. The world went blurry, and I knew I was going to black out. "Help..." I said one last time. Then the world when dark. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Never finished this... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV everything was a blur. I sneak up in to the roof and look at my wings. I jump off and begin to glide through the air. It felt great. I search for weaker opponents. I fly behind someone and push them over, I then jump on top of them and peck their head. I rake my small talons down his back and I fly up out of reach. I do the same attacks when I think of a new one. when no one is looking I fly to the ground and act dead. I open my eyes the slightest bit. Someone came near so I move my leg causing them to fall on another person. I peck both of them and rake my talons down their backs. I decide to stay low for a bit. I trip a lot of people when I come by Alice. She was furious, she told me to get away and she turned into a dragon. While I was watching someone snuck up behind me and knocked me over. he creates a large gash in my side. "I dnt think three year olds should go into battle." He snickers. Alice, yells stop in her double edge voice. She attacks Fear and causes all of the army to leave. Is everyone all right? I wonder ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV After they left, I shrank into girl form. Everyone sort of stared at me, shocked. "Alice..." Someone called. I didn't answer, I was still burning anger from Fear's disrespect towards Fay. Speaking of Fay, where was she?! "Give me a second to calm down..." I pointed my finger at them...then my legs swayed and I blacked out. Jack rushed to help me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I woke next to the fire. My usual spot. Soon it would be too warm to sit by the fire. Jack was sitting next to my sleeping form, petting my ears. He laughed. "My vicious little Platinara." He kissed my head. "That was quite a transformation. You alright?" He knew I was alright, though. He was a dragon himself, he knew that I would be fine. I smiled sleepily. "Of course I'm fine." I frowned. "But where's Fay?" He smiled. "You really treat her like a sister." I nodded. "Any girl in this family is my sister. Any boy is my brother. I'll defend them all." He sighed and rolled his eyes. "You Platinaras are so defensive sometimes..." he winked, a sure sign he was just joking around. I closed my eyes again, at peace. Then I remembered Fay. Again. "I do wonder where she is, though...I hope nothing happened to her. I haven't seen her since I turned into a dragon..." "Yeah. She hates me, but I think she's nice. She probably thinks I hate her." He chuckled. "She sure loves James a lot." I smiled at the memories of them together. "Yeah. It reminds me of you and me." He said this corny comment because he knows that romantic and cheesy things annoy me. I slapped his leg. Or at least tried to. The slap came out pitiful and weak because I was tired. "No cheesy comments." He held up his hands in mock surrender. "Alright." "Her and James are so cute." Wait. James! "Is everyone alright? Specifically James, he seemed to be in pretty bad condition." Worry lines creased my forehead. "Shh...calm down. You need to rest. Everyone is fine. Avi is so happy her wings grew in." He smiled in a very big-brotherly like way. Around my family, he was losing his cool outer shell. He was being nice and warm. I liked it that way. His smile faded, though. "James...well..." He removed his hands from my bunny ears and put them in his lap. He twiddled his thumbs. "Yes?" I was worried. James was a good guy. He was good to everyone, specifically Fay. We got off to a rough start but we were friends now. At least I think. "He's..." "What, Jack?" I was getting more concerned by the second. "James is dead." And a moment of shock slapped me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MASON'S POV There was a rush of cold, bitter wind. I wasn't too cold, but the poor animals looked freezing. You know how sometimes, on those horrible cloudy days, the sun peeks from the clouds? You have me to thank for that. The hue on the snow, caused by the bright sunlight, let a soft salmon color. salmon.... I'm hungry now. There was a river down the ravine. It seemed familiar. I run too it, and I get a drink of water. The crisp taste of it rushed threw my body. It was fresh from the mountains, from snow that melted. spring is coming. I rush home. Then I stop. I stop to think about what I just said. 'I rush home.' My home. i never called it that before. I ran faster. I needed to see my brother, but first I need to find why this is all happening. Why did that river seem so familiar? Why the sudden urge to see my brother. I see something rush across the sky. fairies. I see her... its purity, my sister. sister i run off to tell my family, but ive been struck by something. dark magic. i fall to the ground. limp, and near death. i sleep ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FAY'S POV I woke up in a small wooden room. Yawning, I got up, and walked through a door. I saw Trust standing there. "FAY!" Trust screamed. "TRUST!" I hollered back. Trust gave me a big hug. "I'm so glad you are awake. Do you remember anything?" he said. "Yeah. The battle, Alice becoming a dragon, and..." I gulped, "James." "Ok. You just woke up, I should pressure with decisions now. Come downstairs, I'll make you some tea," Trust suggested. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After four cups of tea, and two muffins, Trust asked me a big question. "Fay, you have a choice to make. You can stay here, and live life as a fairy, and try to forget, or... Or you can go back to your home." I knew he was going to ask me something like this. James was dead. I was immortal again. I could live here forever, and try to forget him, and my family. I've only known them for around 6 months. I would miss them... I could spy on them as a fairy if I stayed here. Maybe bring them food at night, or mend clothes, like elves do in fairy tales. Haha, fairy tales. Get it? Anyway, going back would mean dealing with James' death, but it would also mean seeing my family. CHIVES. I forgot about him! HOW COULD I FORGET ABOUT MY BROTHER!? "Trust, I'm staying. But I have to be able to check up on my family when I want to." "Ok, that fine!" Giving me another hug, Trust said, "It is good to have you back, Puri- Fay." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When I got to the house, I saw it in surprisingly good shape. The roof had a burned hole in it, but it was ok. I flew inside to eavesdrop. "I think Fay is dead." Ahri said, "At least, thats what Fear told us. We will never know if he was lying or not, because Alice sent them running." "I might be able to save James..." said Ahri. I was very surprised. He wasn't dead? "..but he is in a coma, and probably will never wake up." Oh. "Chives, what do you think?" Chives! "Fay... Fay..." Avi whispered something in Ahri's ear. I flew a bit closer to listen. "Chives hasn't said anything but that since Fay died. I'm worried." Avi whispered. At that point, I decided to talk to Chives that night. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AHRI'S POV I was worried about Chives and James. Sure, I didn't really like them but they were family. Flicking my bushy tail, I climbed up the stairs. I couldn't stand to see James in such a state. I slam into my door and get a purple bruise on my forehead. "Owwww." Quickly pushing through the squeaky door, I sit on my bed. My head throbbed with pain, and I quickly spied a paper. reaching towards it, I realize what it is. It was a drawing I had had for a while, one I had made when I was cast out. It was a picture of me and Aurora. Suddenly I was filled to the brim with grief. I haven't seen Mum in a while. I've heard slight whispers in my dreams, a blur of orange fur in the woods, but she hasn't visited for a while. I missed her very much. My entire being was filled with grief; from not seeing Aurora, James being almost dead, and Fay being gone. In fact, I think my heart left with Fay. I personally don't like the name Fay, but I call her that out of respect. I would cry, but my tears ran out. There was so much loss. Even seeing all the leaves fall in a rainbow of reds and oranges didn't comfort me. I felt like my life had crumbled. There wasn't a shred of happiness, only loss. taking my diary out, I peered inside. I read entry after entry, until I came to the last- and the shortest. "Aurora isn't here." I stuffed the dusty book into the chest, and turned back to my bed. I wasn't aware of anyone around me so I was going to go to sleep. I hope. My bruise wasn't throbbing now and I was slipping up the ladder to my top bunk when my hand brushed something. My paper on the Paw Stars. I took it out and uncrumpled it. I smiled; it was exactly how I left it. Climbing up to the bunk bed, I peer out the window. A full moon stood protectively in the sky, watching the stars. Glimpsing a constellation of bright stars, I instantly notice something new. It wasn't one constellation. It was many. There was a whole trail of paw prints, leading away from the house and into the woods. the trees glowed with an unearthly white, giving the woods a ghostly feel. somehow it reminded me of Purity. Not Fay, Purity. I was now under a weird trance. Maybe Purity WAS there! Then I could find her, and be a hero! Quickly I packed things. Compass, cookies, a spell book, and my secret charm. I set out through the window with a rope, and when I landed onto the leaves I breathed in the cold air. I would find her. I was finding Purity! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ AHRI'S POV I Heard the army outside while i was teaching colli magic. she HAD advanced a lot, i think the is ready. i gathered up fay, colli, and the others. leaving avi inside. and we went outside to meet the army. courage fear and fortitude were in the front. on our side, we had me, Emma, Colli, and Chives. "Hello there! are you here to offer cosmetics from Avon?" i said, giggling a bit at my joke. even though this wasn't a time to be joking, it was in my nature. "I see you are confident, even though you only have 4 people." Courage scoffed. "We are here to take Purity back. this environment is too dangerous for her." "That isn't her name courage, her name is Fay. and you will have a job taking her back. she just got up and dissapeared!" i said to him Emma stepped forward "did you come here to chit-chat? or is your army afraid of us?" Emma said with a smile "I wouldn't be so haughty LEECH, the battle hasnt happened yet." fear scoffed at her. courage, fortitude, and fear advanced back behind their army. and they commanded the army to charge forward.~ the army charged forward, and colli and chives met them fighting, colli shielded chives and started firing at them. they seemed to be doing good so far, they already took out 2 or 3 of them. me and emma bounded over the army, flying twords the three leaders. "You handle courage for a bit, ill handle fear!" emma said to me. i nodded at her, and i exploded into fire, foxfire form activated. i was ready for them now. emma brandished her teeth in a smile, and made clawing motions with her hands as we separated ways. i cast my charm on courage, he wouldnt be doing much yet. i activated fox fire, and dashed twords fortitude. my the foxfires hit her, and i dashed once more. i sent my orb flying at her, she was stunned. she hadnt grasped what had happened yet. i dashed once more, and the orb hit her on the way back and she fell. shame, wasnt much of a fight. but then again, she wasnt really the fighter of the group. i used my last dash, to get away from courage. the charm was off of him, and he would be in a blind rage. and my spells were on cooldown... i looked over at emma. she was winning the battle with fear, she was clawing him faster than seemed possible. she stopped clawing him and started drinking his blood. the way vampires fought truly WAS terrifying, but it had lost its effect on me, i also eat people. i decided to run over to her. "Hey! dont drink all of his blood, i dont like dry liver!" i joked at her. i sent my orb at him, and i started draining his soul. fay's kind were very strange, but delicious at the same time. they were like honeyed ham, rather than the usual chicken that humans tasted like. after we were done eating, i gestured over to courage. who was charging at me. "will you help me with him? my charm is still on cooldown, and i dont think i can take him alone" i said, bored. "im sorry ahri, i have to go take care of some buisness, you can handle him!" and she ran away, faster than light. i dashed through courage, and he got confused of where i was, but felt the magic of me hitting him. my fire hit him. i cast my charm on him once again, and sent my orb at him and let the rest of my fires him him while he was charmed. i had two dashes left. the charm wore off soon, but he was a bit worse for the wear. i dashed out of the way of his slow attacks, hitting him with magic. and i dashed one more time, and he fell. i didnt have time to eat his soul though, the others were in a bit of trouble. we hadnt noticed before, chives was wounded, and the soldiers were advancing on them. suddenly, avi burst through the window, riding on Alice, in firey dragon form. she was laughing and cheering. i watched, horrified as Alice descended onto the soldiers, shooting flames at them through her mouth. then i saw, avi was shooting flames too! little fireballs forming in her hands and shooting at the soldiers. "AVI! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?!!?!!?!?!!" i shouted "Saving our family, ahri!" she shouted back. and with a shock, i realized she was right. if she hadnt come chives and colli would have fallen. i wouldnt be able to get there in time. I started to pick off the rest of the soldiers, there was only about 25 left. they started to realize they wouldnt win the battle, and retreated. we let them go, they can go ahead and re-breed their tribe, i would feel bad if their kind went extinct. at-least they wont give us any more trouble. END OF BATTLE. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MASON'S POV wake up from the haze. I see Purity, except she seems different. I start to say, "Purity, why are you so..." "Small?", she replies, "I'm like this because, I am no longer Purity. Please call me Fay. you have been out cold for a couple of months" "Errm, ok." I respond, quite confused "Pur.. Fay, I saw our family. They were in a fight, I just KNOW it happened. im not sure if all of it is true, but im sure James, and our family in trouble. "I know, I was there for the most part, but i had to leave. My fellow fairies have taken me to this safe haven. They said I can stay here forever, if i wish. Mason.... your brother." "What about him?" "He's dead!" she begins to cry, and I run to her. we sit there for hours. we both loved him, her, becuase they were meant to live together, forever. It hurt me, becuase he was my brother. The only thing left in my family. I KNEW he wasn't dead, he couldnt be dead, but he was in mortal danger. I try to comfort her the best I can, letting her cry in my soft, shiny, orange, black, and white fur. Then I tell Fay, trying not to get her hopes up. "James isn't dead, he IS in danger, but not dead." How do you know, YOUR NEVER WITH HIM!" she countered, and it stung, but I stay calm, preventing my animal instincts from lashing back at her. "I know this because, he is my brother. We come from a special line of blood, which is destined to always have twins. my fathers, forefathers, and there forefathers, and so on." I told her, " the twins lives share the same thread. If one of us dies, so does the other. What im guessing is he got hit by something, and it nearly killed him. putting him in a coma. That's why I have been out too. If he was dead, i would share hi same fate." she sighed with relief. "thank god" "He's not out of the woods yet, he is still in danger. He still needs to be found.... I miss my family" Fay looked at me strangely, and I realized I did it again. I said My family. She knew something strange was going on, and asked me to stay behind. She asked true, and trust to see if they could do anything about why I was asking different. I also told Fay that I was getting strange visions, of e as a boy, that I didn't remember. That's when she knew I've been brainwashed. True and Trust began work immediately, and Fay went off to the family house alone. She knew how to fly, so I guess she'll be fine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV Lately, Avi had been limping everywhere. I hopped over to her. "What do you think of Jack?" I asked. I wanted my family to like my boyfriend. She thought for a second. "I don't know. I'll get back to you later." I smiled, but quickly frowned. "What's wrong, Avi? You've been limping and hiding away from us." Her face was pale and sweating. She had wrapped her wing tightly around her side. Her usually pure-white feathers looked like they were dipped in a red substance. My face became twice as pale as hers. “Avi.” I said. “What’s wrong?” Avi mumbled something unintelligible. “Avi. Let go of your side.” Her wing grip loosened. “More.” Hesitantly, she removed her wing from her side and crumpled to the floor. My eyes first scanned her side. The reality didn’t hit me at first. I just looked at it, confused. Then reality set into my mind, heavy as a brick. Dark purple rills of blood were streaming off of her side, from a huge gash. It was deep…you could see her…nevermind. I gasped as my eyes focused on the tiny details of her wound. Good thing Emma was away…wait. Where was Emma?! Great. Two people I had to worry about. It was just easier to worry about Avi because I knew where she was…she was right in front of me, bleeding to death. Her wings were limp, and doused in the blood she was trying to hide. I made sure no one was looking. I dragged her outside. I grabbed handfuls of snow and iced her wound with it. She winced, even though she was unconscious. I turned into a dragon. Carefully, gently, I took off a scale, broke it in eighths, and turned back into a human. Since I was now human, the scale seemed giant. It was plenty large enough for Avi’s wound. Heck, it was the size of Avi. Good thing I had the sense to break it into eighths while I still had the strength of a dragon. I removed the snow, and the gash seemed less serious. At least it wasn’t an angry flaming red. Now that I cleaned up the wound, it looked less inflamed. I set the scale on the gash, gently and carefully. It shot off beams of shining light. After all, it was a Platinara scale. Platinara scales shine like mirrors, like platinum. I watched as the beams coming from the scale intensified, covering my eyes. It was like a supernova had exploded in her. Rays of light encased her small body. Finally the light died down and I looked upon Avi. She was fresh-looking. Her cheeks were fuller, instead of being sallow and hollow. Her beak shone a brighter shade. Her skin was clear and bright. Her bloody wings were cleaned up. And most importantly, her wound was healed. Covered with new skin as if nothing happened. I smiled. Avi opened her eyes. Her eyes were bright, shining like diamonds. “Thank you so much Alice!” she leapt up and hugged me. Her eyes grew wide. “What did you do to make me better?” “Shh. You can’t tell anyone I healed you, okay?” She nodded. We headed back to the house, looking for Emma. I hoped no one saw. But I suppose we can't get everything we want. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EMMA'S POV When I came to, Ahri was standing over me. For the first time in my life, I felt dirty. Icky. I looked at my hands. They were coved in a blood like substance, but It was black. I smelled it. Blood and Ash. I looked over at Cal, Collasped on the ground. "Help me Pick him up, and bring him inside," I told Ahri. "Hes half dead Em. I'm not going to heal him for you." My face rock hard, I replied, "He saved my life. Without him, I'd be dead." "How will you save him?" "I'll turn him into a vampire." She soundlessly picked him up, then carry him into the house. We manage to aviod everyone, and once we get him into my room, Ahri leaves. I fall on the bed, knowing rest will help me complate my task. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALICE'S POV "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR AVI! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" All of us sang the Happy Birthday song to Avi, who was celebrating her birthday...well...tomorrow. But she wanted cake today and tomorrow...and...well...we couldn't really argue. All of us wanted cake. Just for presentation, we hadn't lit the candles. That was left to me and Ahri. Ahri used her fox magic to light half of them, while I used a potion of my dragon powers to blow a breath of fire onto them. With a mighty breath, Avi blew out her candles, which Ahri decorated with miniature feathers. I didn't know where she got the feathers, and I wasn't going to ask. We clapped and clapped. Avi grinned. I cut the cake and handed it to Avi, who crammed it in her mouth hungrily. We laughed. She grinned through her cake-filled beak. In the midst of celebration, we felt a sad, melancholy hollowness. Colli, Fay, and James were all gone. And where was Mason? I hadn't seen him in forever. There was some new people...but they weren't close enough to be considered family yet. Chives was singing, but I could tell in his empty eyes that when Fay left, a little piece of him was ripped away forever. A birthday wasn't complete without all the family there. We sat in silence, enjoying our cake, listening to Avi babble on and on about something she learned. We smiled at her childhood innocence. Jack, out of the blue, gave her a journal covered in little feathers and pearls. She clapped with delight and hugged him. He was really becoming a big brother to her. I smiled happily. Nothing was better than my family approving of him. Well, most of the family. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the celebration, we had to finish something we started. James was temporarily buried about a foot deep in the snow outside. We were building a coffin for him. I could still hear Fay's cries echoing in my head. The whole family went outside to properly bury him. Chives stayed behind, and Emma did as well to comfort him. Together, we lifted James out of the snow and laid him in the wooden coffin. I heard a soft cry. FAY?!?! I looked around, but Fay was nowhere to be seen. I sulked. We dug a large, deep hole and sent the coffin sliding in. Before they buried it, I stepped up. "Everyone, I'd like to do this for Fay." I hopped in the hole, and opened the coffin. There was James, looking peaceful and calm. I bit back a tear...we may have gotten off to a rocky start but I think James and I could have been friends. I removed a long section of red string from my pocked and tied it around James's wrist, then closed the coffin. I held onto it, hopped to the surface, and they began piling dirt over the coffin. Keeping a firm grip on the string, I made sure it didn't slip. Once the hole was filled, I took a long, sturdy stick. Not a flimsy one, mind you, it was almost like a log. It pretty much was one. There was a little branch sticking off of the log, and I tied the string around it. I connected a bell in such a way that if the string moved, the bell rung. "I tied the string to James's wrist. Now if he actually isn't dead, he will move about in the coffin. The motion of his wrist will move the string, and ring the bell. So now if we hear the bell, we must dig him up." It sounded odd now that I was saying it. "For Fay." I said, and walked back to Jack. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EMMA'S POV After I had slept, I thought I might as well leave Cal in his little room, so I had went and celebrated the birthday party. But When alice and everyone went to burry James, I stayed behind. I had told Alice, "I've watched millions die, and then be berried. I don't need to see another one." I knew that she knew I wanted to just stay back and be with Chives. I was sitting on the roof with him, watching the furnnal from above. "Do you think shes really dead?" He asked me "No, I smell her..but its faint. I wouldn't be able to track her." I replied, emotionless. I was begingng to think that my powers were getting weaker, two weeks ago, I would have been able to find her. But now that I knew Amber wanted to kill me, I was being very careful. That spell making me human hadn't worn off yet either. "Whats on your mind Emma?" "Will-Will you help me with something?" "Sure" ~~~~~~~~ We walked into my room, and I open up the panel. Chives gasped "you're keeping a human in here?" I nodded. "Can you do magic." It was a statement, not a question. He shock his head. "Leave; I'll be out later" He left. I sighed. I needed extra magic. I bit my arm, wincing as blood poured out onto the floor, then watching as I waited for it to heal. It didn't. What... I had to do this fast If I wasn't going to heal. I already felt dizzy. I took Cal's arm and bit it, letting his blood spill onto the floor. He moaned. "Hang in there. Just a few more..." I felt faint. Very, unatrually faint. I spat into the blood, and it turned blue. "Turn this blood, make it stay, turn its DNA, make it one, as is the person." Cal stirred. His eyes opened. Blood red. Like me. Hello friend. Remember me Emma? No, this... "GET OUT OF MY HEAD AMBER" I'll find your friend before you do, and all will be lost I can send a message back. I know where they all are, I can save them Yessssssssss, but not daniel, or his family, I have them. I always have Daniel died 2000 years ago! You made me kill him! You sure about that? I saw a image of Daniel, still blonde, but he had red eyes. He looked straight at me and smiled, fangs and all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FAY'S POV The next months in the Fairy Tree were nice. I could do whatever I wanted. I mastered flying, and I can also make some mean cookies. If I multiply the ingredients, I can make them when I am human! I was with True, and Trust. Happiness gave me my flying lessons. Around the time when it was Avi's birthday, something amazing happened. Mason told me something. He said that James is alive. I burst into tears. I cried for a while, out of pure joy, of course. I grabbed the cookie recipe, and headed to say goodbye to True, Trust, and Happiness. 'I'll miss you guys! I'll visit, I promise!" I said to them. After a few tears, and MANY hugs, I was on my way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I turned human. It felt odd not having my wings. I knocked on the door. "Hello?" I called. "NO FRICKIN WAY," I heard someone say. "Helloooo?" I said again, shaking with joy. "F-Fay?" a small voice said. "Avi?" I replied. The door flew open, and little Avi jumped into my arms. "FAAAYYY!!!!!!" she screamed. "What!? FAY?!" I heard voices say from upstairs. Ahri, Emma, and Alice came sprinting downstairs. "What?! FAY!" they screamed while tackle-hugging me. "Where were you?!" Ahri asked. "I was with my childhood friends, at the Fairy Tree, with Mason. OH CRAP. I forgot Mason!" I said, exasperated. "I missed you! It has been a month for so!" Emma said. "I missed you too!!" I replied. Alice gave me a huge hug. She gave me the biggest hug. "Fay... I have bad news... James. We buried him today." Alice said. "What the heck!? Dig him up! HE IS ALIVE!" I shouted. "I don't think he is." Alice told me. I stomped inside, and grabbed a knife. I cut a slit in my finger. It hurt, and bled. "Look. I'm not immortal! James is fine!!" I screamed, worried he might run out of air. "Coli, get the shovels," Ahri commanded. ~~~~~~~~ "Work, slaves! WORK!" I ordered, trying to lighten the mood by joking. "Yes master Fay" Ahri said, sticking out her tongue. While my family was digging, I decided to talk to Chives. Walking into his room, I saw him sleeping. Only Chives would sleep through something like this. I noticed James' bed was still there. I guessed Alice moved to me and Coli's room. "Chives?" I said, to wake him up. "F-Fay, shh... WAIT FAY?!" he said, springing out of bed. He embraced me, and I told him everything. He said that James was dead, and I told him about him being alive. We rushed outside to see James, and help unbury him. ~~~~~~~~~~ They were lifting the coffin out of the ground when I came out. I saw a pounding on the top, and a bell ringing. I rushed forward and opened the coffin. James, pale, yet alive, was there. The insides of the coffin were shredded James had claws, instead of hand. As soon as he saw me, the claws faded. We said nothing. I leaned forward and wrapped my arms around him. He did the same to me. I sat there, sobbing, while James was still half in the coffin.I leaned back and kissed him, still crying. Ahri and Emma carried James into his room, but I didn't let go of his hand. They lay him down on his bed. He sat up, and I sat next to him, tears running down my face. "Don't you EVER do that again." I told him. "I won't, Fay," James said. I kissed him again, then put my head on his shoulder. He had his arms tightly around me, like a protective force field. I noticed Ahri, Emma, and Chives standing there. Ahri was fighting back tears, while Chives had his arm around Emma. Wow. When did THAT happen? It is so cute! Things couldn't be better. All was well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AVI'S POV It is nearing Christmas. All of us hung our stockings up and decorated the house, half of us decorating outside and half of us inside. I think we've finally smoothed out the bumps and we'll be okay. We have stockpiled food for a Christmas dinner and we play in the snow more. Everything is happy. Our life is almost...perfect. " title="Smile"> END OF BOOK 1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Avi's secret kingdom"Happy birthday to you!" They finished singing the song ad a blew out the candles. Ahri slices the ale and gives us each. I get the largest slice and I stuff it into my beak. "Can I hab a gowld apple because it's my birday?" I asked with my beak still full. "Sure" Ahri gives me a gold apple. I felt stronger, happier, and less tired. "Bring me presents!" I told everyone. First Colli's present. It was a book all about bird people and other half animals. "Thank you!" I say. I create a birthday pile by tossing each of my presents in the same spot. Next Fay's gift. It was a necklace that had a tiny blue orb in the middle with 2 feathers on each side. "Thank you Fay!" after opening each present I examine my pile. A necklace, a book, some toys, and more. I put on the necklace and dig through my pile. Sparky jumps on me with a pine cone in his mouth. "Thanks Sparky!" I giggle. I take his gift and he eats the food from the floor. "James take my presents to my room! And I don't want any of them to be ruined!" That would be hard because my room was up the stairs. I play with my necklace and turn to Fay. "It's pretty" "It looks great on you. It's a good luck charm" she tells me " yay!" I'm lucky! "To the couch! Everyone! Including you James. Just drop my stuff there" James drops my things at the top of the stairs and we all cuddle on the couch. What a wonderful night. The fire blazed, the stars shined, but something was lurking in the night. planning to strike in three days.... Peregrine. ~~~~~~~~~ I was playing outside with the rest of the family. Little Sparky ran off to the woods, however no one noticed until it was the next day. I was very upset. Ahri said he was gone for too long so he would be far away. I wanted to look for him, so I ran away. I climbed through the trees. The leaves tickled me and I woont come back until I find Sparky, my prince. I came across a vine that lead down into a little clearing. it seemed magical, enchanted. There was the vine I climbed down and a few ropes hanging down too. there was a little flower in bloom. Sticks littered the ground. There was a rock, a special rock. Want to know what made it special? a beam of light came through the trees to shine on it, but on it, was Sparky. I dashed and hugged him. He hugged me with his wings. I turned around to look at the clearing. "I could make something of this..." I thought. "I could make this my kingdom. The kingdom of Quartara!" I shouted. No one could hear me here. Good. I did pack some supplies when I ran off. I had paper, apples, a stick, some rocks.... Paper! I have paper. I quickly mapped how to get here. I picked up the sticks from the ground and began to make a little hut. I used some magic I learned from Colli's book to help me. I named the flower the blossom of Quartara. Here, Sparky really could be my prince. Not just a prince, my knight. Prince Tutsoya. "Next time," I thought. "I will sneak back here and bring more supplies" . I gestured Sparky to follow and we headed back home. "I got Sparky! al by myself!" I shouted. a tiny echo went through the house. "Great!" Some said. "Good to have you back Sparky!" Others said. That's night I planned what to do with my kingdom. I will sneak things from the house, and I will use magic to help me make my kingdom prosper. I hid my things and went to sleep. the next morning I asked if I could have two wood swords, one for me and one for Sparky. I made myself look cute and Made me seem like I would do nothing wrong. The said yes and I got to tie a smaller wood sword onto Sparky's back. Sorta to make him look Prince like. It wasn't in the way of his wings of course. "I'm going for a walk in the woods!" I tell Ahri. "Okay" I grab my things from my room and make sure no one sees me with them. I make it to the forest and follow my map. I made it to he clearing. I look up from my map. "What?! it's not here!!!!" I got very worried. have I lost my kingdom? I climb up into the trees and have Sparky follow. "What?" The vine was right in front of me. "Hmmmm...." I say. I climb down into the clearing and look at all my stuff. I brought one of my presents, I little knife. I carve a Q into the biggest tree. Sparky climbs onto the rock. his throne I thought. I saw some other rocks and pushed them in place to make MY throne. There was a fat birch branch sitting on the ground. Time to test my skills. I stand in front of it and start my spell. I close focus on the branch and close my eyes. I open them to see the branch carved, how I imagined. I picked it up. "My staff." I thought. I used the knife to carve designs onto the sides. There was a hole, a large hole, probably made my a dog digging something up. I put my special things in there for safe keeping. I climb up the vine and look back at my kingdom. "Goodbye my kingdom. I shall see you when the sun rises" I whisper. I climb up and Sparky follows. We head back to the house. "This is MY secret. No one shall know unless I tell them. And no one WILL find it.... Because it has a spell on it, a spell I didn't cast though. You can only locate it through the trees." I thought. I go to bed early, dreaming about my kingdom. The kingdom of Quartara ~~~~~~~ I woke up with Colli shaking me. "you over slept. You dont want to miss breakfast" Colli said. "Okay ill come down in a minute." I told her. I picked up Sparky and tried to remember my plans for the kingdom. When the idea popped back into my head i went down stairs, nearly tripping on one of the stairs. I gobbled up my breakfast and picked up my sword. "Im goin out." I say. "Im gonna come too!" Colli says while pushing in her chair. "Im going on a walk" We were walking out the door. "Ill walk with you!" she says. "Please can i go alone?" I ask. "Why cant I come?" I sigh. "Do you PROMISE to keep a secret?" "yes" She says. "Cross your heart?" I ask. "I cross my heart." She makes an imaginary cross on her heart. "Okay follow me. Don't tell ANYONE about this place." "I knoow. I promised." She tells me. "You have to follow my exact route, okay?" "okay" She seemed very curious. I just remembered i forgot Sparky. "stay here. DO NOT move or you will get lost, or i will get lost trying to find you." "Okay Avi" I run as quickly to the house as i can. I Trip over a root, but i get to my feet and brush off the dirt on me. I open the door and Sparky runs out. We head back to the place I left Colli. She was still there, relieved to see me. I beckon her to follow and i climb up a tree. She follows along with Prince Tutsoya. I climb down the vine and she follows. When we make it to the clearing she looks in awe. "This is MY kingdom. The kingdom of Quartara!" I say with pride. I feel relieved, to have at least One person to know my secret. I show her each part of the kingdom i created, i show artifacts of the kingdom and i tell her how i made it. I also told her to never go here alone, because IM the ruler. We play Kingdom until the sky grows purple and the clouds get tinted with pink. We head home and i remind her one last time to keep the secret. Our special secret... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ THE END. I'm planning on making one post with EVERYTHING on it, and locking it.
GOODBYE
