1.8 update question - xXTheDarkGamerXx - 2014-08-06
The 1.8 update snapshot has been out for a while, but we haven't updated the server yet. I can understand why. I watch a youtube series called "Hermitcraft" they are a professional server containing a bunch of professional youtubers. Anyway they updated too early, and there were many block errors, farms were collapsing left and right, but soon they will finally fix all the bugs, and it will be ready for an official update. When this happens, is our world going to be left behind in 1.7? And then we start a new world in 1.8? I am just confused by the system that this server uses. Also, when are you going to update to 1.8?

We will have a 1.8 world, but idk when we will be updating the server

When Bukkit comes out with a 1.8 release. Most likely that inspiron will use a beta build...

He will either just make a new world where nobody has commands then end up adding that world to the survival server with a new spawn portal labeled 1.8 with all the stuff from that world. OR he will just add it to spawn.

I need 1.8 for everything to go as planned with my castle, the whole design will malfunction in 1.7, plus I need slime blocks. If you can, please try to convince him update the survival world. Please.
