I'm having a crazy flashback, back to my first ever goodbye post.
Damn, it's only been a year and a half? Feels like I posted that forever ago.
Anyway, I'm experiencing a slight panic attack. Because I remember, on that first goodbye, I got many sad sad replies, as well as a few books on the server. Eev's book was among them. In a nutshell, she wrote:
"Maybe one day you'll come back and the old friends you knew will be gone, and you'll be thrown into a whole new riot of people you don't know."
And I'm panicking slightly, because that's occurring. Most obviously.
There have been too many goodbye/quit topics recently. I myself am guilty of creating MANY. But that doesn't justify it. This is still McTopia! It's supposed to be BUSIER in the summer months! (Well, not exactly summer for some of our beloved Australian players.)
But no. The server is fading quickly. I've been in touch with some of y'all, and I've been told that there's never more than 4 or 5 people on at a time. The forums are absolutely ghostly. No signs of life here.
And as for the players?
None. I came back to the forums, expecting to see the same lively McTopia I always have. But no. There are rarely any new topics, and when they are created, it's from an obscure new player.
I'm lost and bitterly heartbroken.
McTopia was my second family! I loved you guys like you were my brothers and sisters and friends and bestfriends and boyfriends and...
Well. We'll stop there.
But you understand, surely, don't you?
What happened to McTopia? We were the closest knit bundle of friends I've found in a long time! Now look at us! We've parted. Where's Robby? Chris? Cori? Jack? Eva? Matt? Drew? Josh? Monster? Jesse? Haley? Nick? Those are just the original friends I first met, but there are dozens of original players that I never see and I miss dearly.
All because of Eev's book.
Actually, does "Eev" even exist anymore? The people who know who she is are GONE.

Me and a lot of people just graduated this month and are unfortunately busy with many things, including college. This summer is going to be hell for me and others. When I start work in Aug/Sep I plan to create something better for the all of us that are still around. As for right now as mcman said, I really wanted to wait for 1.8 to come out to actually complete some nice stuff, but I never thought it would take 10 years to get released. I don't blame people for not coming on in the recent times, but I do advise for everyone to take a look at where the server is in the fall. If 1.8 comes out before then, things will get done.

hi tobi! i haven't been on because i've been doing my finals.
and my stupid school hasn't even ended yet.
the teachers haven't even entered the final grades.
i don't even knoww.
but school ends on wensday, and then i'm not going to have anything to do, and i'll be on a LOT more.
i'm pretty excited.
