I won't be on much - mattjtv - 2013-10-21
So recently my dad finally got a job, after trying to find a permanent job since 2006, and we have our bills catching up to us. My mom has had a stable job for years, and retirement pay after 24 years in the military since 2008. We are in a financial nightmare, I can't even ask my dad for five dollars because that five dollars could go to something we need. I have been without internet for about a week now. The only internet we have is a mobile hotspot app for iPhone (jailbreak app) and we used up all of that for the month. I can only use my phone to access the internet and when I upload videos I have to go to a Starbucks. I will be on while I am at a Starbucks uploading a video, but otherwise not much at all. I hope you guys understand. Hopefully we can get internet back in a few months.

Thanks! We could be in a much worse situation with foreclosure and having to be homeless, but we are still far from that

Well going from what you were used to, to this is a big and unfortunate jump. Must be Hell. Hope to see you on soon. What do you do all day with no internet? Make sure once your family is stable, if your parents still don't think internet is an important service, convince them it is, otherwise they might get used to living without it and think they don't need it.

They hate having no internet as well, but my sister has been mentally unstable and she has been at a treatment center for 5 weeks. It is expensive and it is one heck of a load for my mom to take on only her income. My parents have this jailbreak app installed called "MyWi" that makes the phone a hotspot, but it isn't fast enough to play games on and we used up most of our data for the month by doing that. I usually chill at a bookstore or Starbucks for a few hours to get my internet needs. I hope I can get internet back officially soon so I can finish my server I have been working on and ultimately reunite with McTopia

And my parents hate no internet as well since my mom has to download worship songs every week for her church group. At the moment until our phone data comes back faster, we can't even watch a video on full bars of 3G
