An Emotional Story, and why I am taking a short break. - Jamourous - 2013-10-20
Hello Fellow McTopians,
First of All, My name is Jack, for those of you unfamiliar with me. My purpose of being here is to be nice to people, and that is what I am doing now, IRL
I live in Australia, more specifically Queensland. South of the border, is Australia's first state, New South Wales, who we have beat in the rugby, for 8 years in a row. Their capital city is Sydney. About 60kms (38 Miles) outside of town, lies the Blue Mountains, A beautiful place to live. I know this because I used to live there, and my parents both grew up, went to school, and met there. Their hometowns however, have been destroyed by a ferocious bushfire. Their primary schools have been burnt down, and nearly 200 homes have been destroyed. We are lucky we live 1000kms (621 miles) away, but my extended family still live there.
So we came up with a solution.
We have organised a truck (A big one, not what we call a 'ute') to carry donations from our city, to the devastated area. This truck leaves in 1 week. As you can imagine, this is a collosal task, and one that requires a lot of manpower to complete. I am thus taking a short (2 week) break to exclusively deal with this. I apologise for the inconvienience, and the shock this may cause to everyone, but this comes first. I am a big believer in my personal motto, and this fulfills it.
Write the book by helping others
You guys are my second family, and I thought you guys should know what I'm doing, and where I am. I am not 'Quitting', so it would be deeply appreciated if you didn't ban me. I'll see you in a few weeks.

Thanks Deathworlds, I will still check the forums on occasion, just not minecraft.
I thankfully didn't lose anything, and neither did anyone in my family. But it's the people we don't know, complete strangers, that we need to help. I'm glad to call myself Australian, as this is what we do.

" title="Very Happy">The whole thing is becoming a little easier to work with, compared to the first day of getting 0 to 500 likes on Facebook in 6 hours. I had a bit of sad news yesterday when I found out a few places that I had seen last year when I was there last, had become burnt out shells. But life goes on, and seeing your support really makes me think the world is behind me on this one. This community has some of my closest internet friends, as well as my IRL best friend, of Meta.

First of all, I am really sorry for your loss, I would be devastated if one of my little puppies had something this bad happen to them.
Katoomba is one of Australia's greatest treasures. Scenic World and the surrounding area really brings forth the natural surroundings, as well as the pub
" title="Very Happy">I was doing some further reading into the bushfires in Lithgow, a little further over the mountain, and found out that all the Nutella and tic-tacs supplies (They make both in Lithgow) have melted... but the factory is making more, and the only people affected will be the stores in remote locations, but they don't eat nutella anyway, VEGEMITE FOR THE COUNTRY FOLK!
