My Nana a has small gun on her bedside table. If someone breaks into their home, she knows where to key to the bullet cabinet is, and how to load a gun.
Almost everyone in my family has a gun in their home for safety.If someone broke into my home carrying a weapon, I want to be safe

If someone broke into my home I would
1. Freak out
2. Run into my room
3. Walk over to my somewhat small laundry hamper.
4. Go inside.

If someone broke into my house and I had a gun, I would make it clear to them I had a gun, and call the cops. If they attack me, they are going to be shot.

sometimes i wonder if im just a bit of a sociopath...id prefer a sword to a gun for 3 reasons. the first is the element of surprise, being holy crap that guys got a sword! thew second reason is just a bit dark, if someone comes into my home without premission with a gun then im going to have a hard time ripping his guts out with a gun. and the third is to see the look on the cops face when i tell them i beat my attacker with a sword. lol

mine is a katana. tho its so far removed im not sure thats actually what it is, its a long one bladed sword with a slight curve, but the blade is a bit bulky compared to other katanas iv seen
