You must have at least 500 posts on the forums to become a mod. To become an admin you must have 2000. This shows you're among the community.

If you post "random crap" your posts will be deleted and your post count will go back down. If you had a problem with the rule, you should've just stated so when I posted the rules to this section, like I asked everyone to do.

500 posts is easy to get, my average post count is 11.88, but for the sake of similarities, I'll round it downwards to 11.00.
500 / 11 = 40--
30 days on average in a month
A minimum of one month of posting, really easy! It's better than someone like ruby joining and immediately applying though.
Say this person doesn't have all time access, or they don't post as much as me, which is likely.
500 / 5 = 100.
100 / 30 = 3.334
Five posts a day, an average of around three months of posting, PLENTY of time for people to get to know you, if you let them.
I'd want at least that before someone applied for mod.

Would you seriously let someone have mod for only putting in the effort of posting 40 things?

There isn't always 5 topics a day to make a meaningful post on. When people post stuff like "sounds good" "ok" or anything else on every singe new topic, just to get extra posts( and that does happen with one or two people), it doesn't get stopped.
