A fourm game: Mafia - deahtworlds - 2013-09-23
After the roleplay board disabandoned I thought It would be a good idea to make something new. While Mafia HAS been around on the internet for a couple of years, I thought it would be a good idea to intreduce it to the inhabitants of Mctopia.
I present, Mafia!
Mafia is a game where the players try and satisfy the objectives of there role.
For example, The mafia generally has to elimate all non-mafia players. And the town usually have to kill or, lynch all threats to the town.
This is not a action game
This is a survival game
And also a deception game
Each game of mafia will have approxamently 3 topics.
1: Setup approval
The entierty of the setup will be posted here, and will require a majority of the people to approve of the setup. A host will be required to make the game possible. The host will not participate in the game. And in order to host you must first co-host with someone that has already hosted.
2: Signups
This is where you can signup for the mafia game. Aka participate. Aka Join.
3: The game thread
This is where the game shall take place.
I shall post more specifics for hosting later

Mafioso
Consort
Sherrif
Doctor
Vigilant
Citizen
Citizen

Hidden Neutral(Will be assigned randomly)
Possible Hidden Neutrals: Jester, Executer, Survivor
Role cards:
Mafia Roles
Mafioso
Shares a night chat with the mafia
Can be sent for the night kill
Consort
Shares a night chat with the mafia
Can Role block a target and prevent them from doing any action
Can be sent for the night kill instead of role blocking.
Town Roles
Sherrif
Can investigate someone each night to see if they are mafia
Doctor
Can heal someone each night, preventing death
Vigilant
Can kill someone at night
Cannot shoot Night 1
Limited to 3 kills
Citizen
You have power in the vote! (Everyone can vote, this is just a joke)
You have one vest you can put on at night to prevent death.
Neutral roles
Jester
Must be lynched in order to win.
1/3 of the guilty voters will die, Rounded up
Executer
Must see target lynched in order to win.
Failure to do so will transform the executer into a jester.
Survivor
You don't care who wins! Just survive to the end
You have three manual use vests.
Rules! (These will be very specific for the first few games)
1. You may not purposely intend to lose the game (This will result in a removal from game).
2. You may not post on the topic if your dead or not in the game.
3. No Out of Game Communication
4. Lynching is a 51% majority.
5. Questions in green. If I get asked the same question, I will not answer it.
6. Days will last 24 hours. The town will be able to discuss at this time
7. Nights will last 24 hours. Actions will be submitted to me via PM. You may not post on the main topic at this time.
8. Last Wills are allowed. These are messages submitted when you die. You may PM me what you want your last will to be. BE SPECIFIC
9. English only
10. To vote for lynching use bold and red text. Use exact names
11. DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT EDIT YOUR POSTS THEY WILL RESULT IN A IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE GAME
12. Your role will be revealed upon death
13. Deadline for night actions is 1 hour before day start.
Order of operations
0.1: Night chats open
1: Vests are put on
2: Consort role blocks
3: All kills happen
4: Doctor heals
5: Sherrif checks
